- sportscheck, on 02/24/2008, -0/+36Great site. But, I am not sure how long they can hold up against the MAN.
Still standing (online) on: 88.80.13.160
just type above mentioned IP for site access. - cowboy86, on 02/24/2008, -1/+30I guess they're not so secret anymore.
- chopenik, on 02/24/2008, -5/+31Anyone else find it strange that a foreign firm gets to dictate to our court system what to do?
- darkNiGHTS, on 02/24/2008, -0/+15Or you could go to their domain....
http://wikileaks.be - ludditte, on 02/24/2008, -0/+14long live the openness of the Internet
- bgturk, on 02/24/2008, -0/+13When freedom of speech is outlawed, only outlaws will speak freely.
- smacksaw, on 02/24/2008, -0/+9They ought to make a push torrent of the whole site that backs it up to people willing to host and sync it, and then if/when it goes down a torrent search could retrieve the documents from within the torrent.
The best part would be striping the encrypted files so that a filesharer would never actually have anything but 1/3 of the files. They could choose to host torrent 1, 2 or 3. - MasterThief117, on 02/24/2008, -0/+8Even if they do managed to get shut down, it will only be so "publicly," meaning it will just be pushed further underground to the point where the government has no chance of control.
- elnerdo, on 02/24/2008, -0/+8As of now? They'll hold up forever against the man. I'm betting that literally tens of thousands of people have local mirrors of the site. I do.
The man has never been very effective at keeping down the internet. - zeromancer, on 02/24/2008, -2/+9die.
- andrew522, on 02/24/2008, -0/+7It looks (through an IP lookup) that the IP address belongs to PRQ.... you know, the datacenter operated by The Pirate Bay. It could be just a rerouted connection, but I'm not sophisticated enough to get past that.

- bubba9999, on 02/24/2008, -0/+5It's a double-edged sword. On one hand, places like this need to exist to get information out about misdeeds (both corporate and government). On the other hand, you hope that something that can do real harm (like launch codes) don't get posted.
- baalzebub, on 02/24/2008, -0/+5Julius Baer surely got caught money laundering...
i hope the judges ruling gets repealed or revoked, no judge worth their salt should make a ruling to cover up and help to propagate corruption, this judge should be removed from the bench and have his law license revoked... - darkzealot89, on 02/24/2008, -0/+5Sir, we have a launch order! Turn your key, sir!
- secleinteer, on 02/24/2008, -0/+4And it's not like the bunker stops someone from snipping their internet connection lines.
- DigiOz, on 02/24/2008, -0/+3This will probably be the Bunker in Kent (UK).......
http://www.you.com.au/news/672.htm - secleinteer, on 02/24/2008, -0/+3Besides, it's hosted in Sweden, by PRQ, as stated on Wikileaks' Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikileaks .
- rationalist, on 02/24/2008, -0/+3Perhaps we'll have to learn to rely on something other than security by obscurity.
- expert01, on 02/25/2008, -0/+2It does if they try to use a nuke.
- cr3ative, on 02/24/2008, -1/+3Why the hell did DigiOz get dugg down? That is the hosting provider - it's the only nuclear bunker offering hosting on Greenham Common I know of!
*mutters* - danarama, on 02/24/2008, -0/+2it's about transparecy not just giving secrets away... that's what spys do. This is for saving lives, human rights, anti - corruption etc.

- R3morse, on 02/24/2008, -0/+2I think you'll find there hosted by PRQ in Sweden. They got taken down by a fire about the time PRQ had one, also the cause was the same. That is, there hosted by the Pirate Bay :P
- amigiac, on 02/25/2008, -0/+1http://88.80.13.160/
- gronne, on 02/25/2008, -0/+1I sort of agree with you after seeing some of what's posted on the site. I do think transparency is a good thing and I wish our government didn't feel the need to be so secretive these days because I think it only fuels the suspicion against our country which is damaging to our reputation. On the other hand, I do worry that this puts some of our troops lives in danger. I want the policy makers to be accountable, but not at the expense of the safety of our young soldiers whose good intentions unfortunately landed them in this mess.
- amigiac, on 02/25/2008, -0/+1That article is around 10 years out of date. Plus never trust the opinions of LSE lecturers.
- jcaino, on 02/24/2008, -1/+2then, if you have at least 3 machines/IP addresses, you can have all 3! good plan.
- techresearcher, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1I thought he was at TPB

- iridesce, on 02/28/2008, -0/+1Please read the Constitution, the rights against a tyrannical government, that all the American Patriots who have died swore to uphold. Those soldiers you refer to gave their lives to make sure we and our children live in a society firmly grounded in liberty.

- inactive, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1this is a great article, i'm surprised it has so few diggs.
- Corrosionx, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1They won't. We seriously need to dig those people's dirty secrets and expose them, that's what the Internet was created for.
- rationalist, on 02/24/2008, -2/+3One of the consequences of championing free market fundamentalism.
- techresearcher, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1*spies
- LucasVB, on 02/24/2008, -1/+2Sadly, not anymore.
- QuikSilvr, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1Yeah because one computer with a one 10mbit connecting can handle all the traffic by itself, especially should the user(of the host) try to download or upload something for his/her self
smacksaw's idea is better as long as there are at least 6 domestic high speed hosts. - techresearcher, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1I must be an outlaw, then.
- chrisjs169, on 02/24/2008, -3/+3***** you

- Rotzooi, on 02/24/2008, -5/+4Loving the irony.
- logdesigner, on 02/24/2008, -4/+1I am all for freedom of speech. This site borderlines on something else though. It actually list money, cost, troop placement, weapons status,.Hell it could probably tell you what time some regional commander in the Middle East theater took a dump. The worse part is that it has an Arabic translator. There is something seriously wrong with our democracy if hiding behind the bill of rights enables you to share intelligence with our countries enemies both foreign and domestic.Take a good look at the damn site.If you don't see a problem with the site than either you're moral compass is way off,or you are to scared to fight for you're country.
"Still standing (online) on: 88.80.13.160" - darkNiGHTS, on 02/24/2008, -5/+2Whoever made that site totally stole my idea.
