- KnytFyre, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Wow, people get freakin irate about this stuff, this is probably the 3rd article about what code doesn't do in real life that it is depicted as doing in movies. A couple quick things to point out here,
1) IT'S AN F'ING MOVIE, if everything in movies were realistic no one would go to the movies, we live real life, we go to movies to escape that. A realistic movie would be like playing a realistic go to work type video game. "Hey hon? Are you coming to bed?" "Not right now dear, my character needs to get this report done and to the boss tomorrow so he can qualify for that promotion."
2) Everything in a movie is enhanced to make it as fantastic as possible. There is no James Bond, and real life spys don't drive cars that convert to submarines, gun shots and martial arts kicks don't send you flying through the nearest plate glass window, and the last time I checked, Immortals were not running around earth trying to cut each others heads off trying to be the ONE.
The long and short of it is this, it's a movie, and if it bugs you to see hacking / coding portrayed so inaccurately in these films, don't go see them.
