- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Wow. Could there be just few more pages?
- pandemonium, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Should be "Engineering and Transportation Disasters."
- mbiesz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Not bad, but I was expecting something a bit more modern.
- Sparklehorse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3More old news...
Top of the article states:
June 2002 - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Don't forget about Nintendo giving up the SNES CD project, effectively giving birth to the Sony PlayStation.
- chesterjosiah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I took one look at the first page and closed the tab. There are two short paragraphs of content on the first page, and 11 subsequent pages to sift through. No digg ----- not because of the content, but because of the layout.
- dallen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Very interesting article, but some pictures would have been nice.
- RatBagu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I was wondering they included the blackout of '65 but forgot about the blackout in 2003.
- lerch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How are Google stocks a disaster?
- gaoshan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hit the "Print" link and you can view much more than the limited selection per page.
- usidoesit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Bateson's technology/hubris/population diagram:

Funny I don't see "mistake" in there... - Miyazaki, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4They forgot the Y2K Bug...oh, wait...
- NJank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"...that should probably be making MORE efficient Web Pages..."
ahh, but efficient at what? pageviews, perhaps? ads presented to viewers? 1 page = 1 set of ads, 11 = more. - gamekid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Especially odd from "an MIT enterprise" that should probably be making MORE efficient Web Pages, not LESS efficient ones.
- listrophy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1...I expected to see DIVX. Guess they weren't talking about that kind of technology.
- MadOgre, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I was thinking more along the lines of:
1. Betamax
2. Windows ME
3. Apple Newton
4. Colico Vision
5. Microsoft BOB
6. OS/2 Warp
7. Panasonic 3DO
8. Duke Nukem Forever
9. BENQ LCD Monitors
10. Google Stocks - redsrule2500, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow 1 paragraph per page?
- craigtheguru, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I knew this article was serious business when it started with the Vasa Ship, which I visited in Stockholm last year. Fascinating and fun to see on the interwebs like this.
- thinker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I think instead of looking at the where the disasters occured, one should look at why they occured. The same reasons apply for technology too, specially IT.
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That web site needs to learn that on this crazy world wide webberverse we have the ability to scroll up and down so one does not have to put just one f'n sentence/summary on one page, then make me click to page 2 to see one more sentence, then off to page 3 for another blip, then etc etc.
The only thing that saves it from not being one of the worst sites designed ever is its complete lack of use of flash in its design, as well as I noticed no ads (then again they might have all just been caught by AdBlock). Now that im done bitching about the having to change page thing, I shall go back and actually read it. - OsiVert, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It's kind of like Modern Marvels Engineering Disasters, but in a more boring form with no pictures. Anyone else read it with that guy's voice who hosts the show?
- sound, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0... and the vast majority of the disasters listed have been covered by MM ED
- jpontin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am the Editor of Technology Review: the odd formatting is because it's an old story, imported from the print magazine, by an antiquated process. If you look at our more recent stories, you'll see they are different.
- oyunaranet, on 10/02/2008, -0/+0http://www.oyunara.net http://www.oyunim.com http://www.oyunulkesi.net
http://www.bizimmekan.com http://www.oynatizle.com - gamekid, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I LIKE my Dell-branded BenQ you insensitive clod!
- kowgod, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1And 11 pages, at that.
- IHaveIssues, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Just can't seem to allow myself to Digg articles that have 8 lines per page surrounded by ads.
- blahblah, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0nothing about the mars climate orbiter? pshh..

What is Digg?
