- 10goto10, on 10/17/2007, -0/+10Prober·ly (adj., -li·er, -li·est.).
1. Having qualities traditionally attributed to a prober, someone who probes.
2. Belonging to or befitting a prober. See synonyms at probe. - ilkeryoldas, on 10/18/2007, -2/+8Someone hire that guy
- munkyxtc, on 10/17/2007, -1/+6Anyone have a mirror? This page has been dead pretty much since it showed up here yesterday. No idea how this got to the front page.

- inactive, on 10/17/2007, -1/+5It didn't work the other day and it doesn't work now.
(I know it's the second part.) - rhodesy22, on 10/17/2007, -0/+4it would be a lot better if i could find out what pic urls is about

- jer2eydevil88, on 10/19/2007, -0/+2Check the site out when it comes back up, its actually pretty neat and useful if you like wasting time browsing the web. Plus when is open sourcing something a bad thing?
- tactless, on 10/21/2007, -0/+2Who the hell uses SQLite for a website he posts on digg??? The freaking article says that it has very poor concurrent performance. SQLite is useful most for single-user desktop applications or for learning basic SQL-oriented programming, not for production, high-traffic websites!
- xike, on 10/17/2007, -0/+1/waits for script.
- pkrumins, on 10/17/2007, -0/+1Thanks for mirroring the page!
- pkrumins, on 10/17/2007, -0/+1http://picurls.com
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/17/2007, -1/+2The server ZigZap set him up with is using WHM/Cpanel which is not configured to handle all this traffic out of the box. Peteris (who has done all the programming on this site) is understandably busy working on a solution to the problem as we speak.
Expect to see picurls hit Digg again once he gets the bugs worked out with apache.

- digital11, on 10/18/2007, -2/+3Hmm, methinks he made a piss-poor architecture choice for his backend considering how awfully the site is running right now. Shame.
(I run a dynamic site that gets 2million+ pageviews a day, so yes, I'm moderately qualified to make this statement) - jer2eydevil88, on 10/17/2007, -1/+1Download the source code
http://forums.zigzap.com/downloads.php?do=file&id= ... - MiDri, on 10/17/2007, -1/+1I could easily write a script that looked for a # followed by a function */+- and then another # then a = and another #. In like 1 regexec...
- stpeck, on 10/17/2007, -3/+3I found about picurls.com yesterday and I have actually been trying to install it on my server!
I found a thread on picurls formums on how to get it installed:
http://forums.zigzap.com/showthread.php?t=4395 - suxmonkey, on 10/17/2007, -2/+2Nooo kidding. He has mad skills ... and has been written up on sites like Mashable and Techcrunch.
- pkrumins, on 10/21/2007, -1/+1It does poor concurrency if the database is heavily read/write loaded. In my case it's more than 99.5% reads. So it performs perfectly.

http://www.catonmat.net/blog/making-of-picurls-pop ... - WarcraftJunkie, on 10/17/2007, -2/+1the server got killed mirrors?
- suxmonkey, on 10/17/2007, -2/+1Yup, PICURLS was briefly on Digg yesterday but then it crashed ... really too bad, I think a lot of Diggers would be interested both in the site and the source code. The creator is both very gifted and generous and has made something quite innovative with PICURLS
- oduska, on 10/17/2007, -1/+0Yes... let's all say "Thanks!" by crashing his server.
- jer2eydevil88, on 10/18/2007, -3/+1What the hell is proberly? Did you mean Properly? or Probably?
- ryborg, on 10/25/2007, -3/+1Big woop! Why is this front page stuff?
You guys sure love to brown nose each other -- Digg me Down I'm ready! - noahw, on 10/17/2007, -4/+1Interesting
http://www.echopic.com this could be used as another alternative. - fLUx1337, on 10/17/2007, -6/+1When commenting on a pic, it asks you 'To prevent comment spam, what is "1 + 1" (answer is 2)'
Now, please tell me how this would stop a script from posting comment spam?? #1 you could extract the sum ("1+1"), or #2 just preg match the answer...
Proberly just something he forgot to change after testing, but everyone knows that wouldn't stop a fly!
Nice site though, proberly won't use it, Digg has everything I need...
[PICS]!!!!!!!
