- kbeeveer46, on 11/18/2007, -2/+55It's not digg that's making all your screen shots time out. It takes forever to view them on a normal day. So long that I don't even bother using the site anymore.
- JohnFrazee, on 11/18/2007, -3/+53It's some lonely guy doing it all manually. give him a break.
- thepda, on 11/18/2007, -1/+42wow this news is older than my mom
- ahmetbulent, on 11/18/2007, -0/+32It is taking too long. I wonder what would happen if it hits the front page.
- TheRunes, on 11/18/2007, -0/+26Actually I've used it for a while. It's always been pretty slow.
- arcooke, on 11/18/2007, -1/+25What is it with you people and stating the obvious?
- rd3k, on 11/18/2007, -2/+23This site has been around for yeeeaaars! How on Earth did it get so many diggs?
- Error601, on 11/18/2007, -4/+23Probably more useful when it's not bigged down from digg.
- brwright, on 11/18/2007, -0/+18Mine looks like crap...in every browser :'(
- GirthAgain, on 11/18/2007, -1/+18That's because it's a con. He wants you to reload over and over so he gets paid for the views of his ads.
- CerealFan, on 11/18/2007, -1/+14Let's see...
getfirefox.com
opera.com
microsoft.com/ie
apple.com/safari
konqueror.org
icab.de
etc. etc. - kevinwiz, on 11/18/2007, -1/+11bogged* ?
- whistlerpro, on 11/18/2007, -0/+10Digg effect.
- doshindude, on 11/18/2007, -3/+13welcome to bigg.com
- stephdau, on 11/18/2007, -0/+9You mean my website looks like an internal server error in all those web browsers?!? =p
- Dokument, on 11/18/2007, -0/+9you're right.
/joke - DMCer, on 11/18/2007, -0/+8I tried using it this summer, it took way too long to even be useful. It's faster to just open up your site in different browsers.
- darkfate, on 11/18/2007, -0/+7I would just use this:
http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/
It only does IE, but since I have IE7 installed, I use it to test IE6. I have Firefox, Opera, and Safari on my PC so that's all I really need. Plus I got a linux partition to check it out on there too. - ultrafez, on 11/18/2007, -0/+7I don't find you particularly useful either.
- xpose, on 11/18/2007, -0/+7I agree with rd3k, web developers already know about this site. Whats next? is pingdom tools gonna get dugg yet again that shows website load time?
- arjung, on 11/18/2007, -1/+8what ads?
- antdude, on 11/19/2007, -0/+6knew*?
- Bamborzled, on 11/18/2007, -1/+6MrBabyMan, that's how.
- bpapa, on 11/18/2007, -0/+5Yikes, pretty scary that there are still professionals out there who "code for IE"
- antdude, on 11/19/2007, -0/+5Multiple computer and VMware or some virtual machines.
- kenvsryu, on 11/18/2007, -0/+5Bah my 2 requests have expired.
- dontbejack, on 11/18/2007, -1/+6But not all developers have the ability to load up their computers with multiple browsers and even if they are cross-platform they can have different results. If one wants to take the time, it's more than worth it.
- EXreaction, on 11/18/2007, -0/+4Ya, it's faster to setup a virtual machine and install XP to view IE6 and Ubuntu or some linux distro to view with konqueror.
But, it's nice now that you can install Safari on Windows to check that. Waiting for a screenshot from them is a waste of time, especially when you try to fix a bug if you find it. - dontbejack, on 11/18/2007, -0/+4You don't code for IE and "screw the rest." You code for Firefox and "screw the rest." There is no reason to create a site that has IE-only features.
- nhassan, on 11/18/2007, -0/+3http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE
Test on everything from IE 3 to IE 6 - whistlerpro, on 11/18/2007, -0/+3reason?
- inactive, on 11/18/2007, -0/+3I code for W3 Validator and screw the rest. I leave browser-specific quirks to the special olympics.
- inactive, on 11/18/2007, -0/+3Firefox 3 rendering engine is great
- amsoell, on 04/20/2009, -0/+3No, it's really not. It's always about that slow.
- xkorbin, on 11/18/2007, -0/+3dugg just to reach front page.
- lajkonik86, on 11/18/2007, -0/+2This is such old news !
- inactive, on 11/18/2007, -0/+2Queue estimate: 1 hour, 15 minutes to 2 hours, 22 minutes (Details)
***** off, what do they have to do,send out a photographer first? - mRIpX, on 11/18/2007, -0/+2(Score:1, uninformative)
- calebh, on 11/18/2007, -1/+3Total Validator is better! Only takes 1 or 2 minutes, not 20 minutes.
http://www.totalvalidator.com/validator/ValidatorF ... - Vinvin, on 11/18/2007, -0/+2...only Internet Explorer doesn't support some Operating Systems....
Now bring on those "OMG 'nuther reason why Windows pwns the hell out of Linsux!"-comments.... - TheDiggerz, on 11/18/2007, -1/+3Now we will see...
- ultrafez, on 11/18/2007, -4/+6Adblock Plus FTW
- trashhalo, on 11/18/2007, -0/+2Dugg to see what happens when tons submit sites. 20minute queue and its only at 92.... Mmmmmn TOASTY!
- Tinendo, on 11/18/2007, -0/+1Oh Opera doesnt exist anymore? Havent heard of that yet. And Webkit driven Browsers like Konqueror and Safari?
- Tinendo, on 11/18/2007, -0/+1I know it since it started up. And it IS usefull.
- IEatHamburgers, on 11/18/2007, -0/+1Unfortunately, Safari on PC doesn't display the same way as it does on the Mac.
- russau, on 11/19/2007, -0/+1websitegarage did this in 1999:
http://web.archive.org/web/19990125092710/http://w ...
hopefully this means the heady days of the dotcom boom are back. :) - garbats, on 11/19/2007, -0/+1it would take less time to download and install the browsers, and check yourself.
- Yodacola, on 11/19/2007, -0/+1I use browsercam, too. You can even use remote machines (limited to 30 minute sessions) using VNC. Browsercam is better when I have to show clients how their site loads across multiple browsers. You pay for it, but you get very fast load times for MS IE 5-6 using Win2k and it is adfree.
I paid $25 USD for a seat on a unlimited yearly multiuser license. - theplaz, on 11/19/2007, -0/+1I was thinking about doing this. Guess someone beat me to it...
