PHP sucks? No. Programmers suck!

lacisoft.com — Poor programmers will do a poor job with any language. Good programmers will take the best out of the language they have at their disposal. My two cents about PHP and people who try to minimize its merits.

  • ruiacp, on 05/23/2008, -0/+2Anyone who calls a programming language crap does not deserve credibility. All languages have advantages and disadvantages, the science is knowing where to use them, so saying "it sucks" is no science at all.
    There are some blind people more capable of evaluating a painting than many programmers are capable of evaluating languages, frameworks or tools. There are some drag 'n droppes copy pasters calling themselves programmers, and we get comments like that.
    Even ***** can be an useful language, if there is someone able to do something with it...

    P.S.: PHP is not my favorite language for web development, just because of Django/Python, but call it a crap is nonsense.
