- jggube, on 05/10/2008, -0/+3I find that regular expression is a good technical question to see how a web developer fairs in his or her PHP skills. Something like: how would you grab the domain name given the string "http://www.whatever.com/thisFolder/myFile.php", (like how Digg does it in the description area of a submission article). You don't have to write the code, or if you did write it, I wouldn't expect it to be syntactically flawless, but even just mentioning that you'd use preg_match() is a good indication that you're at least familiar with PHP and not just padding your resume.
