- gookie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13They forgot RadRails, RoR IDE, really helpful & great app...cuts the work almost in half to say the least.
http://www.radrails.org/ - eclipxe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Ruby is a language, Rails is the framework. The difference between Struts and Rails is the fact that Rails doesn't suck.
- RyeBrye, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I've been looking for a "resouce" to help me with my "codig"
- Kam3k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Not much there for the Ruby language. itself (no Why the lucky stiff). For a list of Ruby resources you could look at DHH's list here: http://www.loudthinking.com/arc/000199.html
- gookie, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Funny how my comment is being burried. I guess these discreditors know nothing bout IDEs. It's not spam. It's friggin FREE. So funny that you're undiggin it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3What exactly is the difference between frameworks like Ruby and Struts, JSF?
They both use the MVC framework. - NghtShd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, you're missing an explanation for the parenthetical insertion word whala in your statement. Tourette's syndrome?
Whala: To lash with stripes; to wale; to thrash; to drub. See: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=whala
Voila! - m4ktub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nah, imo it's just a ripple effect...
But what about this "please digg me" phenomenon? - JonGretar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2RadRails should be on the list.... But there are a lot of people and me included that simply put just don't like it. Somehow it seems so much..... not rails....
- bytefoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Have to agree here; no mention of the groundbreaking book by Why The Lucky Stiff is a disturbing trend. Weed out the fluff and get right down to the core of the matter.
- kaniz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Great sites, I've been trying to stick my toe into the RoR waters, and sites like this are a big help. All in all, I think RoR is going to be around to stay -- seems to be a fairly powerfull approach to creating Web Apps, but it'll still probably be a few years untill it hits 'main stream' acceptance.
- rain9441, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I almost dug this, but then I googled "ruby on rails" and found (whala) all the links that are on that page! Is there anything new here that I'm missing?
- JonGretar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Ok... So if people exchange links with something you like it's cooperation and wonderful. If they exchange links on Apple and Rails it's a hype????
Why people have to be so religious when it comes to hating Rails and Apple on this site is unbeleivable. - bizwiki, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0You should find the Chinese version of upper info. from

"http://www.bizwiki.cn/teamblog/?p=24" - silviu-lucian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've found it difficult installing the MySQL extension for Ruby, on Windows. Since my development machine is running Windows (and I can't do anything about it since I have Fireworks and many others I need to run) I found myself trying to brew my own framework in PHP from Cake (witch In my opinion is terribly slow).
Zend's Framework is looking promising though. Can't wait for it to mature a little. Though other than that I really like Ruby and Rails has some great concepts (on witch one can of course improve). - yottabite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Maybe have a look at DHH's slide (creator of Ruby on Rails) from a recent conference:
http://flickr.com/photos/doesrails/128015501/in/pool-canadaonrails/ (WARNING: Language)
With this attitude, who knows what's going to happen, and how long Rails will be around. - twisterX, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Heres another mirror just in case. :)

- marnaq, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3Sooo... RoR is going in for like a second wave of hype now?
- ubicity, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0awesome!
