- i4mt3hwin, on 10/10/2007, -6/+51IT? What the *****.. try engineering.
- kewlito, on 10/10/2007, -0/+44Sorry for the hijacking, but there's this new version http://www.projectcartoon.com/cartoon/1 that includes a digg reference.
Also, the page even lets you create your own version. - h0zae, on 10/10/2007, -4/+37oldie, but goodie
- clickwir, on 10/24/2007, -3/+33Real IT people saw that years ago.
- neotexan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+30IT in the real world... scrambling to keep your server from frying like an egg when it hits digg's front page.
- ClunkClunk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off then on?
- mishaco, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9is that you roy ?!
- benman587, on 10/10/2007, -8/+16Mirror: http://www.cerkit.com/cerkitBlog/content/binary/pr ...
- crossmr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Actually there are a number of departments involved in that and really its not limited solely to "IT" projects.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7You'd be surprised how often that works. There's a reason we ask them to do that.
Also, checking to make sure it's plugged in helps. - asskicker32, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6its just thaht customers expect magic and dont want to provide $5 to add to infrastructure
"Let someone else do it" is a common company mantra around these parts.
(yes, im an ops guy) - myak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6IT Crowd owns and their answering machine is just what I need at my workplace because, seriously, it's just like MacEnvy wrote - it works more often than not. This and it lets you hang up on the user and enjoy your coffee while reading digg (and unplugging the phone line).
- rotarychainsaw, on 10/19/2007, -0/+6I thought normal people saw this years ago...
- Namco, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7So true, so true. Customer wants a computer with Picassa on it and IT delivers an expensive image server product from canon or kodak running on the slow corporate network with no means for the customer to move the images to the server efficiently. So the customer pays 100,000 dollars for the favor while the original requestor just brings in his laptop from home.
- mlambir, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5maaaaaan, you suck
- culbeda, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I'm sorry, but isn't this picture around 15-20 years old now? I'm fine with it hitting the front page, but the top 10?
Eagerly awaiting the return of the "Hang In There" kitten... - shinynew, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4or the ropes are only 6 inches long.
- effedup, on 10/19/2007, -1/+5Why do people always feel the need to say they saw something first. Who cares if it's an oldie and you saw it years ago? Not me. I dont give a ***** that you saw it already.
- vornan19, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Anyone else think rotorhead47 and shinynew sound like Statler and Waldorf?

- akashra, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3This has been on the wall of my cubicle for the past 2 years, next to the UserFriendly IT ***** Bingo game.
- Namco, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Link?
NM http://www.*****.net/cards/buzzword/ - Wraithius, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Definitely old, but definitely still true. The documentation frame especially so. The idea of having enough budget in a project to actually write docs is just ridiculously luxurious to me.
- arkanebeats, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Why did I look at this title and think it had something to do with Stephen King's IT? :(
- CCmachined, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2actually, it's: "Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
in the IT crowd that is :p - AmazingAndrex, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6Oh man, I chuckled more than a few times. There should be a frame for "Efficient Coding" and it would have the tree up in flames.
- opiestana, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3You fail at life
- FUZE, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1eh hem...
