- bootle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6YAIVG: Yet another interactive version of graphviz. yawn. Still, flash is better than java applets.
- Error601, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I need a graph to keep track of how many open source graph packages are available now.
- Voightkampff, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4This reminds me of the prefuse toolset: http://prefuse.org
Specifically the graphview module: http://prefuse.org/gallery/graphview/ - anthonysimpson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3prefuse is good if your looking for a java solution.
other things that do this:
graphviz: http://www.graphviz.org/ has lots of layout algorithms and visual styles - a prototyping environment for scientific drawing etc. good if you want to generate images for a cgi script
javascript canvas library: http://ajaxian.com/archives/new-javascriptcanvas-graph-library - angusm, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I care. I can see myself finding a use for this thing.
Mind you, most of the graphs I want to visualize seem to tie graphviz in knots, so I don't want to think what they'll do to this Flash component. If you listen closely, you may be able to hear it whimpering across the Internet. - IbnDigg, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Just created an undirected graph with 2059 nodes and 4830 edges and I don't think it can handle it.
- KirinDave, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Okay, so maybe you need to visualize graphs. But, do they need graphs with interactive crazy-dragging? It's superfluous, and it's not the good kind of superfluous.
- OscaronV1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Lol...and the 1sts and 3rds were ON topic?
- Topher06, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Judging from the diggs and comments, nobody cares.
- thechao, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0I wish I could digg you up again. This software is NOT opensource if it is released under the CC-by-ND license. In fact, it violates one of the fundamental tenets of open-source: the right to modify and redistribute.
- cjwl, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1"with a purchasable cc-by-nd license"
If you are going to sell licenses, hire a lawyer to write up a proper license.
From the CC FAQ "Creative Commons licenses are not intended to apply to software. They should not be used for software" ( http://wiki.creativecommons.org/FAQ ) - manneredmonster, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Although with tiered loading this would be infinitely more useful (click on a node to load the connections for that node).
- manneredmonster, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0You can always turn the dragging off. It's really just a consequence of force directed layout - why not drag? I like dragging. Don't be a drag.
- marcov8, on 10/10/2007, -6/+3you suck
- johnxstone, on 10/10/2007, -11/+1God damn it!
