Google attemps to fix contact list flaw and fails

browserden.co.uk — Google Mail's contact list flaw appeared to have been fixed but further investigation has shown that this list is still accessible but this time as an XML file. It'll be slightly more difficult to process but by no means impossible. Gmail users should log out of Gmail when not using it and run it in a separate browser to your usual one.

  • b0rt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0There's not a lot you can do if you put your trust into a 3rd party web application. I think this just shows why running everything web based is bad.

    What if this had been paypal and they left the list of credit card numbers publically accessible?
