- Razenoth, on 11/30/2007, -0/+19Its a great addition but they really should have added it to gtalk at the same time, like common now.
- illflip, on 11/30/2007, -0/+15group chat isnt on gtalk yet.
- cdawzrd, on 11/30/2007, -0/+12I liked how it was before, where you would type :-) and then it would solidify and rotate on its side... I always thought that was awesome
- afdlips, on 11/30/2007, -10/+21***** emoticons. seriously.
- inactive, on 11/30/2007, -2/+10Finally, they seem to have gmail and gtalk down.. great innovation over at google, and they're sticking to simplicity. I digg it!
- inactive, on 11/30/2007, -3/+10I don't know why Google doesn't integrate its gDocs API with OpenOffice.org, seriously. Just think how many people will welcome that upgrade, it will be far superior to the Office Live offering from Microsoft.
- bzaks, on 11/30/2007, -1/+4I think the chat app responds faster now.
- Blubi, on 11/30/2007, -0/+3What language have you set in gmail settings? AFAIK, you have to set English (US). Other languages are still stuck in old version.
- EvanVolm, on 11/30/2007, -5/+8Meh. I guess it's a decent feature if you have a lot of people online using Gmail while you are. In other words, I couldn't really give a *****.
- moo083, on 11/30/2007, -3/+5On the topic of Google Upgrades, did anyone notice that you can now skip around in a YouTube video before it loads that part? You couldn't do that last time I checked.
- invoker, on 11/30/2007, -0/+2Doesn't seem to be working for google enterprise, or maybe not for canada?
- vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2All English (US) IE7 and Fx users should have it on their non-Google Apps accounts. Its been rolled out to IE6 users and Apps accounts at the moment.
- kaplanfx, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2As a sarcastic person, I like them as I can clearly denote when I am being sarcastic (either a smile or winky face).
- sigsegfalt, on 11/30/2007, -1/+3Unfortunately, when you try to do a group chat from the Google Talk client, it opens up a browser window for the chat session instead of taking place in the client. Weak sauce.
- isuisorisuaint, on 11/30/2007, -2/+4you don't have to be in gmail to see your friends in gtalk and vice versa.
- variaas, on 11/30/2007, -0/+2Has anyone with Google Apps been able to get the new version of Gmail? I haven't seen any of the new features yet.
- RyGiL, on 11/30/2007, -0/+2It worked!
- kflott, on 11/30/2007, -0/+2I'll second that... no new features on my google apps since imap was made available.
- JaaX, on 11/30/2007, -0/+2direct link: http://mail.google.com/mail/help/about_whatsnew.ht ...

- tackle, on 12/01/2007, -0/+2Oh wow... welcome to the year 1995.
- cgoff, on 11/30/2007, -1/+2This is all fine and dandy, but how about finally giving us the ability to encrypt our messages and IM conversations??
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Buried as Pligg Spam, the whole thing was just copied from Mashable and put on a pligg powered site.
- saleem, on 11/30/2007, -1/+2dugg in case that was sarcasm.
- hydroplane, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1There is no emoticon to express what I am feeling.
- starsky51, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1You can connect gmail chat to your msn/yahoo/aim accounts. http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-attack/chat-wi ...
I've had it going for a while and it's seamless. - Shateo, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1Is there a word in klingon for loneliness? Ah yes, galdaac!
- mikebritton, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1What are they going to add next? GBodyMassage?
- twrife, on 12/02/2007, -0/+1Have you tried turning your computer on and off?
- kaplanfx, on 12/01/2007, -0/+1You can turn off that behavior in setting->chat

- salinemist, on 11/30/2007, -2/+2Look at the top......
"@gmail.com | New! Group chat | Settings | Newer Version | Help | Sign out" - CySurflex, on 11/30/2007, -0/+0if you change http:// to https:// in your address bar, all your gmail communications, including the chat are sent encrypted to Google. Google may still send it clear text to the other side, but at least you're safe from prying eyes in your own network.
- Slipknotic, on 11/30/2007, -3/+2I'd love to use the gmail client with MSN, it's simplicity and great decide would be a great change, why isn't that in the Gtalk forecast?
- SillyDigger, on 11/30/2007, -3/+2I've been using group chat for months, this is nothing new.
- jbond, on 12/01/2007, -1/+0GTalk is just over 2 years old now. So why does it still look and feel like an Alpha? You know maybe Google should buy Skype.
- inactive, on 11/30/2007, -2/+1ya especially when ur tryin to type pieces of codes for ur buddies to run on their work terminals over AIM
