the next series after this one was the best,
it was darker, They captured megatron and taking him back to their time. But he escapes in the middle of the time jump, so he stayed in the present time while the good guys still went to the future. so... megatron takes over the robot planet and the good guys are basically hunted down by the whole planet while trying to restore the proper order.
the good guy transforming animals were (that i remember) a gorilla, cheetah, a rat.
basically the same animal characters, but were updated once they arrived at the future time
at least that's what i remember, it was called BEAST MACHINES i think, it was way better than beast wars.
i was still in high school then, so i don't remember much.
