http://www.kornnuts.com/everything/ - tempusrob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The problem is, even for a 50x50 image in 8-bit greyscale you're looking at over 600,000 possible images. If there was a way to do this with a level of granularity (i.e. start with 4-bit color, step up to 8-bit greyscale when you find something interesting, etc...) then it might be somewhat more feasable.
But ultimately I think this is one of those things where if it could be done, someone would already be working on it.
Might be an interesting task for distributed computing (like how SETI@home works), though.
