Let me guess, your test said "slow witted, suitable only for manual labor". - Recuso, on 10/12/2007, -9/+104WTF
The test told me that I was a lesbian. - PathDaemon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+44Sorry for comment reply abuse, but let's get a poll together to see what's poppin' with Digg personality types:
http://pathdaemon.com/diggpersonalitypoll.html - toastjam, on 10/12/2007, -2/+43Alcohol
- uday0210, on 10/12/2007, -3/+42a little 69 action surprised you?
- RandomGuySteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35This isn't "designed" for programmers, its just a personality test.
Besides, wouldn't "Do you program?" be clear enough one way or another on the whole "Are You a Programmer?" question? - switch653, on 10/12/2007, -7/+31Was very accurate despite me rushing it.
- OBKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+21I got HTTP.
- captinherb, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23No meds, but you are now on a government watch list.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21I'm INTJ, which was surprisingly accurate for me as well.
- BalsamLane, on 10/12/2007, -4/+24Damn I'm an INTP....what meds do I need for that?
- captjc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18The Difference:
INTP - Perceives a stupid person and avoids them
INTJ - Sees a stupid person, calls them an idiot, and then avoids them.
/INTJ - erkokite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14I'm INTP as well, and this is no surprise. I'm sure digg as disproportionately high ratio of INTP and INTJ to others. Many of us work technical jobs, and have (or are pursuing) college degrees in technical fields. One day we shall crush all other personality types like a clam on our collective belly.
- siodine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14INTP, very accurate.
- tempusrob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12"Besides, wouldn't "Do you program?" be clear enough one way or another on the whole "Are You a Programmer?" question?"
No. Ever visited http://www.thedailywtf.com ? - EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I'm a strong INTP, and my wife is a strong ESFJ. Opposites attract, but they sure have the potential to piss each other off. Somebody buy me a drink.
- ThunderIT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13ISTJ
- InetRoadkill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11INTJ, and yes, I blew thru it. But the resulting commentary seemed reasonably accurate (at least as well as you can summarize a person in 2 or 3 sentences).
The Wiki summed up the INTJ as someone who would say "If you don't want to be called an idiot, don't do stupid things." I like it.
But I do object to some of the questions presenting a false dichotomy. - joeolivas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I question the accuracy of these, especially given two polar choices for each question.
INTJ.
Curious how many 'F's will show up here. I doubt very many. - hcetrepus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13ISTJ
- Jolls, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10ha! I'm an INTJ as well. no INTP for me! I'll Judge your Perceiving asses!
- QueenOfSwords, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11INTJ. Distinguished from INTPs by the frequent urge to scream 'You've all TALKED THIS TO DEATH! Listen to me, THIS IS WHAT WE'RE DOING!'
*twitch twitch*
In IT it seems you meet many more INTPs than INTJs, but maybe that's just my experience. - hack314, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12I'm a ***** mastermind!!!
- Tiak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Sooo, since INTPs and our cousins INTJs rule all technology, we should band together and rule over the majority like the philosopher-kings we are!
I mean come on, realizing the republic would satify the dreams of another INTJ, Plato (in case you doubt this type for him, he was a rather extreme one, he was most definitely introverted, and wasn't too into people, preffered conceptual realities to ones we could sense, doesn't account much for personal feelings of a people, and believed in a cosmic order that was absolute, orderly, and unchanging (though uncomprehensible). - radicaldementia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I'm also an INTP. I went to that site, intp.org, and found this (I suggest all the other intp's here read the whole site, its creepy how accurate it is)
"The only area in which an INTP will carry out his own ideas to completion is in his personal interest world, where other people are not involved. For this reason, INTPs are fascinated by computer technology as well as the Internet which gives him a voice that he would not otherwise have. Many of the most dedicated Computer Freaks are INTPs. Ultimately, INTPs tend to trust machines more than they trust people and may feel particularly at home in the realm of cybernetics." - unununium272, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11An amazing profile for INTPs can be found here...
http://www.intp.org/intprofile.html
Anyway, the test, if properly taken, and if you take a real one (not a clone) is amazingly accurate. - alky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Yes, it correctly said I was a computer programmer...
or Business executive, administrator and manager, accountant, police, detective, judge, lawyer, medical doctor, dentists, systems analyst, computer specialist, auditor, electrician, math teacher, mechanical engineer, steelworker, technician, militia member.
I can be a militia member! - toad3k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8ESTJ, although I used to be ISTJ.
Over the last few years I've become more extroverted and am finding the programming life less than fulfilling. Maybe this is a sign I need to reconsider my options. - unununium272, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8also, a much better version of the test can be found here...
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp - *blu*, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Is it just me, or was the entire test 1 question reworded 69 different ways?
- krinthekuz, on 09/16/2008, -0/+8as with any personality test, you typically answer with who you want to be, not who you are. it's kind of like a tyler durden thing.
- dgh1973, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Yep - INTP, same as I was when I took it 15 years ago.
Man I'm a flake. - geojams, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I took the Myers-Briggs test over 10 years ago in college. I'm an INTP. The profile they gave me was spot on. I wonder what percentage of Digger's are INTP. I bet it's high.
- b0nemachine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8ENTP. Accurate
- jfreeman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7ENTJ. And agnostic. :D
- spirilis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7INTP too. Not surprised. A site with a crapload of tech news? That is NT material at the least, and you'd assume an introvert might be the most likely type of person who'd monitor an online website frequently with anything more than boredom. The "P/J" axis is really sketchy but one could say the "probing" nature of Perceptive types could stomach a barrage of random news items about stuff you'd never get to see or use than the INTJs who are probably more interested in making use of their tech.
There are always glaring exceptions to the rule, of course.
For fun and amusement: The Real MBTI. http://www.xeromag.com/fun/personality.html - geeshock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6ENTP, yay!
http://www.entp.org/ - Brakamow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Another INTJ here. -- Damn, just when I thought I was going to be able to proceed with my glorious career as a hog farmer. Stupid test, making me choose another career.
We took this test in our class, too; think I got the same thing. It may be just my lack of sleep talking but...

Same thing? - simonfl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7ESTJ. Woohoo! I can be a mafia don. Thanks for the career advice!
- simpleid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7INTJ
I'd say accurate. - noob, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12digg me down
- ryodoan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I also got ISTJ, reading through the detailed description a lot of what was there fits me, with one major exception, I am a procrastinator, heh.
- Mousse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Here's the breakdown for those that commented.

ESFP 0.0%

Interesting - masgrada, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6wow.. now I feel categorized. and all these years nobody could do that! ENTP fo' life!!
- Zedtech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Well guess I'm late to the party, heres my official ENTP badge.
- fnordling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6That's really creepy. Langford is my real name, and I'm an INTJ.
Although I had 9 in P and 10 in J - makes me borderline? I dunno. - Zipp425, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Most of the questions there is no in between options, you either do or you dont.
They were hard questions. I must not know myself well...
btw I got INFJ. - Democritus2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Ok here is what we do :
We need INTP's to read the other 15 descriptions, making exact documentation on which description fits. We do that for each of the tests actually. Then the one that has a higher rate of similarities wins. In fact I think the entire Test should be rewritten that way. as it would be more accurate.
Ok, I have made the plan, now someone do it. - ConsistentChaos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5INFP as well. Reading the description, it's likely most of us would rather not make ourselves known.
Now, please go away and let us dream. *grin* - evi1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5ESTP
You introverted losers ;) -
