theserverside.com — Caucho, the company behind the open source application server Resin has recently added PHP to its list of supported features. Apparently, the PHP pages are compiled in the background to byte-code, and the resulting performance is six times that of Apache mod_php!

  • Bago, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I tested it and it's really fast and complete! I've tryed running a few "legacy" php website and I've found a few missing functions and missing XML support.

    We probably need to wait for the next release for a fully compliant environment but it seems a great news for both PHP and Java people.
