- clippclop, on 08/24/2009, -1/+33You are the guy who was arguing with me on yahoo answers about why flash is indeed a good choice for an entire website are you?
Seems like flash developers have some sort of god complex over other web developers. Oh by the way, did all the content on your site get indexed? - Lucid00, on 08/24/2009, -0/+10A better question would be, was all of the content on your site memory efficient? or did it work on a mobile device? or an old PC?
I don't get the importance of Flash except for video, audio and games (and all three will likely be replaced by HTML5 and Native Client). - kadio, on 08/24/2009, -0/+6who takes yahoo answers seriously?
- lord273kelvin, on 08/25/2009, -0/+3tuts like this I always digg but never get to really utilize it...
- Suryadevara, on 08/24/2009, -4/+7Very Useful Techniques .. Thanks
- Khraiven, on 08/25/2009, -0/+3That image preloader is pretty cool, but there is a far more powerful preloader available that works with all forms of web resources including communications.
Details are at: http://code.google.com/p/jquery-depends-plugin/
Exert from site:
-----------------------
The idea behind jQuery Depends plugin is to provide a very feature rich way to handle any and all forms of dynamic resource usage and consumption, or in other words, a javascript-based dependency resource loader. Beyond the typical forms of loaders that exist for stuff like images or data, this plugin also handles the inclusion and execution of style sheets (.css) and scripts (.js) files. Tons of great features and flexibilities to manage your applications resources how you see fit, all with minimal effort using this very light weight plugin. - fotoman607, on 08/24/2009, -2/+4No they aren't. I'm even a flash developer and I wholeheartedly disagree with you.
- inactive, on 08/25/2009, -0/+2Thanks Smashing,
The demo pages are awesome as usual.
Excellent referencing. - ProgrammerJason, on 08/26/2009, -0/+1Smashing has been a great resource to me in the past. I will be bookmarking this one for future projects

- digiwebsol, on 08/27/2009, -1/+1I have also found it helpful, especially in conversations on topics I know will be contentious or emotional, to counsel myself to step back from them and observe, almost as if I am standing outside of myself
- HeavyWave, on 08/24/2009, -4/+2@Lucid00
I am sorry but show me a mobile device with full support of JavaScript. On the other hand some of them support Flash to the fullest extent.
I hate Flash used for text, but your argument just doesn't stand. - GunForHireUK, on 08/24/2009, -6/+1This is relevant to most diggers.

Also with better detail and conclusion:
"This study is congruent with earlier findings that, when women are at their most fertile, they are best wooed by tall, masculine-looking men who exude confidence and dominance -- ones that are most genetically attractive." - D3ADBOLT, on 08/24/2009, -30/+4All 50 of these are better done in Flash
