- inactive, on 02/11/2008, -4/+63I hope the video becomes as popular as YES WE CAN and makes it into the news cycle for a day or two. There nothing like a little humor to cement a reality that the pundits refuse to acknowledge.
- dagnabbit, on 02/11/2008, -2/+60Like hope, but different.
Of course the scary thing is this guy does have a chance of winning, at least if Hillary gets the nomination too. - slagmacg, on 02/11/2008, -1/+51OMG that kicks ass. I can't wait for 12,008.
- superjan, on 02/11/2008, -4/+42This is why i never stopped liking America during the 8 Bush years. The president of the USA may be a miserable failure, but the people of the USA are simply amazing! So funny, so true. Only in America.
- Michael9636, on 08/04/2008, -2/+35This video is amazing. I couldn't stop laughing, although there were times I felt like crying. Great submission, Joshua, you did it again.
- dullurd, on 02/11/2008, -1/+32Stinging anti-McCain parody of "Yes We Can." Spread the link around; even if it gets 1/10 the views that "Yes We Can" has gotten, it could have a significant impact.
- ZenFountain, on 02/11/2008, -3/+33You ain't seen nothing yet John McCain! Well, I've seen enough of you anyway.
- wild, on 02/11/2008, -0/+22It is a good thing you never use that word. You don't know how to spell it.
- MindTrigger, on 02/11/2008, -3/+24I hope people really watch this video and get it. McCain is a god damned joke, and the fact that the republicans or anyone else sees him as a viable candidate just blows my mind. Seriously, can *anyone* tell me what this guy brings to the table besides "but but but I was a POW for 5 years"? I respect him for his service, but he has earned NO respect from me on any other front since. He comes up severely short on all of the major issues facing this country. Please, tell me how his foreign policy or economics will be good for us.
- VideSupra, on 02/11/2008, -2/+19The guy hyper-ventilating into the bag describes exactly how I feel about this election.
- MindTrigger, on 02/11/2008, -3/+15I don't know where you are from, but as an American, I thank you for your comment. Most Americans, at least the smart ones, know that Bush has been a disaster, and we are aware of how we look to the rest of the world because of our government's actions and words. I feel very embarrassed that any American would consider voting McCain in, just because his political label says "republican". That is what you see here, lack of options.
The fact is, there are no viable republicans at this time, and McCain is the death knell they have chosen to latch on to. As an independent who would vote for either party depending on the candidate, I see it as a sad state of affairs for republicans, independents and indeed the whole country. - mtjohnson, on 02/11/2008, -3/+13If we stay in Iraq for 10,000 years, based on the current averages, we will lose 7.8 million soldiers and spend 4,000,000,000,000,000 dollars.
- ScoobyG, on 02/11/2008, -1/+9Sorry but I have to spoil the punch line for ya'll, it made me laugh so hard.
"McCain 08
Like Hope,
But Different" - febryle, on 02/11/2008, -1/+8With all due respect, it's EXACTLY about taking these statements out of context. Regardless of anything McCain has said about Iran, anyone who thinks it's funny to sing a Beach Boys song about bombing another country while >3500 soldiers have died does not deserve to be elected.
- xaxxon, on 02/11/2008, -1/+7The obama song, in case someone doesn't know is at: http://yeswecansong.com
I hadn't seen it before. VERY well done. That man can really speak. - shakbhaji, on 02/11/2008, -1/+7WOOOSH!
- The_Wallbanger, on 02/11/2008, -5/+11Huckabee's version will undoubtedly begin with a 20 sec instrumental that immediately screeches to a halt following the quote, "I was fried up a squirrel in a popcorn popper!"
Cue skipping record needle sound effect. - tehblister, on 02/11/2008, -3/+84 quadrillion dollars? That, sir, is quite a hefty sum.
Luckily, if we elect John McCain, he will help our economy along so that 4 quadrillion dollars is more likeĀ 50 euros today. So it'll actually be CHEAPER in the long run. Kinda like how buying food in bulk at Sam's Club or Costco is cheaper... - inputusername, on 02/11/2008, -1/+6Absolutely hilarious...save the fact that I am terrified that this guy could get elected!
- USAOwnz, on 02/11/2008, -0/+5The scarier thing is the 100+ year burden, which will be the result of a Hilary victory in the primaries!
- jaznova, on 02/11/2008, -0/+5Cue Huckabee's version
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7xgtAWfSWM - SheilaNoya, on 02/12/2008, -0/+4You need to listen to him speak more often. He goes into great detail on what his plans are and how they will be paid for. Check out his last TV debate with Hillary. It broke each item down into detailed descriptions so you could see where they actually differ, although it's hard to get all of the speicifcs out in a timed constrained format. Check his website and you'll see a lot more info too.
- nalicosh, on 02/11/2008, -0/+4It is not just the casualties, it is the principle man. We do not have the right to police the world, or the $$ for that matter. We spend $1 TRILLION "supporting our troops" in over 130 countries right now, and McCain is "OK with that." Well, I'm not .
- fakekevinrose, on 02/11/2008, -2/+6what?!? that's OVER 9,000 YEARS
- VideSupra, on 02/11/2008, -4/+8The guy hyper-ventilating into the bag describes exactly how I feel about this election.
- Proletariat, on 02/12/2008, -0/+4McCain is a horrific person. Check out these videos on
http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com/ - MindTrigger, on 02/11/2008, -1/+5My point was that people are voting for McCain simply *because* his current label is "republican" and they are not looking at his stance on the issues, or his past words and actions.
Also, I see you drive a Jeep Wrangler, as do I. When are you going to lift that thing? Anything less than a 4 inch lift, and you might as well have bought a car. (just a friendly razz). - tljff9, on 02/11/2008, -1/+5I had forgot about the whole bomb, bomb, bomb Iran comment. To elect a guy that could be that nonchalant about bombing another country would be a huge mistake. It doesn't matter if he was joking.
- SpykerSpeed, on 02/11/2008, -0/+4Correct. McCain doesn't have the maturity or the temperament to possess the nuclear codes.
- cawpin, on 02/11/2008, -0/+4Damn, that's gonna be a long wait.
- ryrysofly, on 02/12/2008, -0/+4here's an even better video based off of Obama's "Yes, You Can!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUKINg8DCUo - inactive, on 02/11/2008, -0/+3Did you really think anyone with a brain would post a pro-mccain piece on digg? Pro-mccain ***** comes from the white house, not from citizens.
- nalicosh, on 02/11/2008, -0/+3They are not even remotely realistic. We are borrowing $2 BILLION dollars per day from China and Saudi Arabia so that we can spend $1 TRILLION per year on failing to police the world. We have spent $500 Billion on Iraq already and Al Queada is stronger than ever. We CAN NOT AFFORD to spend 4 more years in Iraq, much less 50-100. Ridiculous. And don't even try to tell me that we can't afford not to either you fool. You are playing right into Bin Laden's trap. This is exactly what he did to the Soviet Union back when we were funding him. He raised the red flag of 9-11 like a matador, Bush and company took the bait and drove our treasury right through the flag and right over the cliff. wake up.
- MindTrigger, on 02/11/2008, -1/+4I don't know why you are being dugg down. As an independent who is supporting Obama, I am really sick about all the BS that is going on. I'm freaked out that so many people in this country would support McCain, in a post-Bush America. +1 for you, my friend. We all better be experiencing a healthy dose of anxiety and get our asses to the poles in Nov.
- zenmasher, on 02/12/2008, -0/+2I love the internets. Being able to see creative ideas like this is worth the slog through all the other crap.
- nalicosh, on 02/11/2008, -0/+2Hey Obama people! Can't you be friends with us Ron Paul people until after the Primaries?
- inactive, on 02/11/2008, -1/+3anos means anuses.
- darnok45, on 02/12/2008, -0/+2Joshua? we are on a first name basis with diggers. wow.
- SheilaNoya, on 02/12/2008, -0/+2Your wish has already come true.
This video only had 204 viewers this morning.
I saw it a few hours later and it had reached around 27,000 viewers.
I just checked it again and it's now over 189,000 viewers - all in a single day.
Unbelievable! - Jamihabs, on 02/11/2008, -1/+3How progressive.
- mtjohnson, on 02/11/2008, -0/+2Cue dueling banjos...
- nalicosh, on 02/11/2008, -0/+2the enemy of my enemy is my friend today!
- arevolutionof1, on 02/11/2008, -1/+3Troops in Iraq for 10k years? What's he trying to do, recruit terrorists? Un-freaking-believable.
- seth123q, on 02/11/2008, -1/+3that looks oddly familiar... but seriously great parody
- theblt, on 02/11/2008, -2/+3"That man can really speak."
Yes, he can. He has inspired millions. But whenever I hear him talk, I never hear any plans of what he'll actually do. Actions speak louder than words which is what scares me about Obama. But I will say this, I'm one Republican who is not supporting the Republican party this election. - cawpin, on 02/11/2008, -2/+3Did you ever stop and think he may be referring ONLY to the ones that did those things to him? I'm sure he doesn't hate all Vietnamese people.
- wagmycigar, on 02/12/2008, -0/+1That was fast. The internets get those spoofs out in a hurry.
- mckirsch, on 02/11/2008, -1/+2That video is teh gay and not funny. I want my 30 seconds back please.
- RADI0ACTIVE, on 02/12/2008, -0/+1
Oh, please. Does that mean it's okay for someone to use the N-word only when they speak of a black person that did them wrong? No, it doesn't. - kevlarbaboon, on 02/11/2008, -0/+1: ' (
