The word "democracy" does not appear in the Declaration Of Independence or in The Constitution. The U.S. was intended to be a Constitutional Republic by democratic process. In a true democracy 51% of the people can tell 49% of the people how to live their lives. That is rule by mob...you got the bigger mob? You get to make the rules! That is not what the United States is supposed to be! The United States is supposed to be a Constitutional Republic where The Constitution provides protection for the rights of minority citizens against abuses by a majority mob. Rule by Constitution must be restored. If the current legislators are too weighed down by their pocketbooks and wallets to see that, then we need a whole new crop of legislators who don't worship and play cronies to the economic aristocracy of this planet.
