- FlaG8r, on 10/09/2008, -10/+156Oh John McCain, can't you tell the truth about anything?
- pravoslavnie, on 10/09/2008, -18/+109We should fear that we don't live in a democracy any longer. The cyber security with current voting machines is in the bronze age and paid GOP computer hackers alter results going from polling stations to district offices which total the results. Also, GOP members in office are purging voters in OH, MI, FL, VA, MO, LA, GA, and more. Please see the videos and sites below, then call the Obama campaign to express your concern and voice your opinion (especially if you are a contributor like I am) and tell them you want something done about it.
Obama campaign number is 1-866-675-2008 and press option 6 to speak to a volunteer. They are answering the phone 7 days a week.
How the next election will be stolen:

We need to take action:

The voter purging in Virginia and other states:
http://www.brennancenter.org/content/resource/vote ...
It is our responsibility to take action. Call someone, write someone, pass this along, talk about it, etc. We can't just sit idle and read about these things that have happened in our country and be passive. The 2000 and 2004 elections were stolen and we cannot have that happen again.
Please learn about what's happening and act. - ZeroSum1975, on 10/09/2008, -10/+78Republicans don't believe in Facts. Plain and simple.
- tmonsta1, on 10/09/2008, -5/+48but... he has a scary sounding name... Omidyar.... He could be a terrorist.... RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
- Insightful, on 10/09/2008, -2/+43McCain advisers:
Fiorina: Ran HP-Compaq, failed, took $42 million golden parachute bailout
Whitman: Ran eBay. Acquired Skype for $3.1 billion (with a b) and had to take a $1.4 billion writedown for overpaying. Announced employee cut of 10% this week. - lhbaker, on 10/09/2008, -5/+39John McCain has conducted his campaign in a way that makes it easier to believe he's lying than telling the truth. I've heard the man tell so many outright lies in the past several months, I wonder if he's even in control of his campaign at all any more.
- DreKor, on 10/09/2008, -1/+33I agree, they believe anything that's Palin and simple.
- charm803, on 10/09/2008, -2/+28Republicans like to base everything on their own reality. True story.
- Snoosy, on 10/09/2008, -12/+37Pretty bad when the entire article is basically posted in the description.
- m0zzie, on 10/09/2008, -7/+30***** EBAY.
(i hate John McCain as much as the next guy, and i used to love eBay quite a few years ago - but it really eats dick these days) - charm803, on 10/09/2008, -1/+24McCain's selection of women is horrifying.
Even Bush appointed smarter women than that. - maxgoedjen, on 10/09/2008, -2/+23Tonight on Fox News: Why do facts hate America?
- Bawbzilla, on 10/09/2008, -1/+20How the hell is this an opinion? It's the guy who started ebay, are you honestly so blind that you'll believe McCain's statement about ebay over the person who founded it?
- enantiodromia, on 10/09/2008, -1/+16speaking as someone who worked with eBay back when they only had 2 or 3 servers, can you explain to me how this is an opinion, and not a fact?
- sockpuppets, on 10/09/2008, -0/+14What category is dick under? I keep listing it in collectibles but it gets VERO'd then I get NARU'd and paypal reverses the charge and takes my money. But I pay the 20% commission to ebay anyway because they conveniently don't reverse that automatically.
- twiztidsinz, on 10/09/2008, -0/+14It's a common misconception that Republicans talk out of their ass.
This is due to the fact they spend their lives with their head shoved up it. - rolf, on 10/09/2008, -1/+14Fiorina: Massacred HP's backbone, the R&D division. Humongous ego with nothing to back it up (no Steve Jobs, or perhaps Stephanie Jobs)
Whitman: Not only Skype, but auction house Butterfields, ebay Magazine and other useless ventures. She was bought it when it was already a success and rode it. She literally had to do nothing but grow it in a common sense way. Every idea of hers past that was a failure. - Dicaearchy, on 10/09/2008, -1/+13"- healthcare is a right. where does it say this in the Constitution, and that the federal government has the right to employ such a policy."
Article I Section 8. "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; "
welfare n. 1. health, happiness, or prosperity; well-being. - inactive, on 10/09/2008, -1/+12Holy Christ! Can't Magoo get a single fact right? I think he needs a psychiatrist to check him out. He could very well be a compulsive liar.
- understudy, on 10/09/2008, -4/+15eBay is so 2000.
_ - ShoggothDreams, on 10/09/2008, -2/+12No, as the article stated, it started with *1* person. The man who was ignored BY McSame.
- ishotthedoor, on 10/09/2008, -2/+12Oops, I misinterpreted the article. I thought Omidyar was complaining because McCain was implying that Whitman started eBay. I didn't realize it was the number of people he was complaining about. My bad. McCain did ***** up. Digg me down baby
- beesaretasty, on 10/09/2008, -1/+11You forget that Fiorina successfully had a nice corporate spying scandal before pulling the chord on the golden parachute.
- makkaveli19, on 10/09/2008, -1/+10Iranian intelligence sent him here to rip off americans. with the help of nigerians obvs.
- noahgelman, on 10/09/2008, -0/+9I wouldnt call him a liar in this case. He could have just used another example. I think he just got his facts mixed up. Maybe when he learns how to google things he'll get it all right
- OliveStreet, on 10/09/2008, -0/+9"47 million people are uninsured. of course this includes illegal aliens and people earning over 50k who choose not to buy insurance."
Aren't illegal aliens supposed to be the "undocumented." Then how were you able to document them? - Bawbzilla, on 10/10/2008, -0/+8Come on dillweed, I want to know how this is an opinion. Come back.
- artap99, on 10/09/2008, -4/+12You do realize that the United States is a republic, right? A representative democracy at best, but still established as a republic.
People should weigh the pros and cons, not listen to other people and their political opinions based upon the funneling of other opinions. If you can't say anything nice about the other side, why should someone listen to you? You haven't done your homework.
If you really want someone to vote for Obama, start off with "McCain says this, which seems like a great plan. And it might be, but I believe that Obama's plan is better because of these points that I'm going to lay out and contrast."
I, for one, have a problem with programs like Rock The Vote that attempt to create an influx of younger voters. Younger voters are impressionable and inexperienced. It's nice to be accosted outside of Best Buy, but registering to vote doesn't give one the tools to make a sound decision. And it certainly doesn't give one the right to think that they know what is better for everyone else.
Just because the Democrats didn't win the last couple of elections doesn't mean that they weren't attempting to stack things in their favor, either. - MAARRS, on 10/09/2008, -0/+8ummm...you are a republican. You have completely missed the point.
It's not about 18 other people. it's about the truth, it's about making the truth fit your plan, it's about hoping no one looks too closely or seriously.
This little white lie is endemic to the McCain campaign. And even if she joined as person 13, the fact is that she also is part of the team that ran this business into the ground. And SHE's his pick for Sec. of the Treasury???
Are you ***** kidding me? - NelsonR, on 10/09/2008, -1/+9McCain and his power mongering dog like wife are the epitome of what has driven our country down into bankruptcy. Power and control are the God of many while perverting any norms of decency. McCain sucks and to think when he was against Bush he sounded alert to sanity and how the average live. Now the jerk is a jerk that I would escort back to Hanoi for more time to serve. As a Vietnam vet I have every right to say it, the man is despicable and may he take his rich wife and go to McDonald's to see how the little people live. Republican conservative nationalistic schmuck.
- feckineejit, on 10/09/2008, -0/+7now you're just making ***** up.
- heystoopid, on 10/09/2008, -0/+7Actually young voters are for more astute and tend to swing votes according to policies presented to them.
The problem ones are those that are stuck in their self centered self created rut and refuse point blank to accept the simple fact that their candidates of choice are thieves , liars , dirt bags , racists and every other type of criminal scum known to man kind for the past five million odd years since our common ancestors came down out of the trees and left the plains of Africa to populate this wide world of ours !
It is now long overdue time for a change for the better , no if buts or maybe !
Vote wisely , not rashly . - Kovalchuk71, on 10/09/2008, -3/+10See...Nobody is your GODDAM friend!
- Dgen_X, on 10/10/2008, -0/+7Rephrase
""Facts" waging war on America?" - heystoopid, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6Most republicans can't even balance their own private check books without going into the red so as to speak .
Give them access to the public purse or company check book and they will create their own mini ENRON to clean it out from within leaving all the taxpayers and stockholders holding an empty bag , that be for sure . - twiztidsinz, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6He's too busy, off trolling somewhere else no doubt.
- NelsonR, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6Then go to Baghdad with your crony, John McCain and spend Billions more daily. Get a life or a fixation on reality. Our country is tanking with the likes of conservative nationalistic AH Republicans like you.
- heystoopid, on 10/09/2008, -1/+7Ancient debunked history , STFU .
Sheesh , what a total loser and a wanker to boot ! - desertDenizen, on 10/10/2008, -0/+6I rather like it. Makes skimming easier, very efficient.
- heystoopid, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6What leter in the word "denial" scares the living daylights out of your single functional brain cell , that be the question ?
I believe you have been sunk by your own broadside , oops . - CoFRBrutus, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6The guy that founded eBay said it started with one person, therefore McCain was wrong when he said it started with 12 people.
- WalkAroundMe, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5Nice palain' on words...
- twiztidsinz, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5What are these 'ad's you speak of?
- anshuman, on 10/09/2008, -5/+10McCain getting some facts wrong? Common whats surprising about this?
- NeoNightmareX, on 10/10/2008, -0/+5Your ignorance is so great that I dugg you up just to bury you twice.
- heystoopid, on 10/09/2008, -1/+6Time to bury these trolls in their own crap
And then go on to bury these lying evil repukes candidates who have no respect for any law be it libel or slander ad try to play the dirty joker evil race card .
Oh John , please tell us all the day you will tell the truth , so we can all die laughing at the man who could not tell the truth to save himself . - whatever01, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5In a startup, there is an exceedingly clear distinction between being a founder and being someone who joined 2 years later. The founders take the risks, put their reputation on the line. They are the dreamer, owner, cook, waiter, busboy, dishwasher, accountant and marketeer. This guy started the company by himself. Not with 12 people. Not with her. By HIMSELF. He created EBay from whole cloth. I'd think you'd appreciate the self-made man aspect of that. A couple years later, after much of the chaos has subsided, there's 30 people on board - it's a going concern, jobs are much more codified, the risk is much more clearly understood as is the reward.
It's not some vague difference. She was an employee of a going company. She was not a founder, nor a member of the founding team.
The worst part is that I know if the mistake had been made in the reverse, if it was a democrat who had made the same gaff, you'd be lathering at the mouth about how it's just like a democrat to spread the credit around to people who don't deserve it. You'd be whining about how the libtards would be demonstrating their socialist tenancies and taking away this guys grand accomplishment.
I think this comment is a pretty stupid thing to make much fuss about, but, what the hell, it's only digg, and it's worth the paper it's printed on. But the hypocrisy that comes out makes me ill. - spacebuddy, on 10/09/2008, -1/+6John McCain is getting old and his memory is not that good, and he likes making up ***** as he speaks.
- homercles337, on 10/09/2008, -2/+7How about you enlighten us with you ***** crazy, right wing talking points so that we can debunk them for you.
- inactive, on 10/09/2008, -5/+10If the CEO of the company is a register republican, fraud & mass layoffs are imminent.
