- FemaFunCamp, on 10/10/2007, -15/+132thats called fox being ***** scared of ron paul
they know they will hang for what they have done to the usa - fober, on 10/10/2007, -7/+78I'm starting to wonder if Fox News channel's audience is made up entirely of its biggest detractors.
- metapop, on 10/10/2007, -8/+71of course not. perhaps hannity thought so after *thinking* he voted for sanjaya multiple times while watching american idol.
- nobody98, on 10/10/2007, -2/+64The problem is fox's audience isn't going to get on the internet and look up the true facts like these. They will continue to believe all the ***** fox feeds them!
- thewump, on 10/10/2007, -2/+62This is very strange. It would infer that Sean Hannity is dick hole
- loggia, on 10/10/2007, -4/+62You can bet if any other candidate won the poll, they wouldn't:
- check to see if the poll was manipulated
- care to see if the poll was manipulated
- mention that all of their polls are crappy and non-scientific - Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -2/+50Dont people ***** get it? There was no cheating.
Supporters of any candidate could have sent messages from multiple phones. Pretending that only ron paul supporters try to skew polls is the most ridiculous ***** ever.
if anything it shows that older people and dumbasses cant figure out how to send a text message and younger/savvy republicans are supporting ron paul. of course fox news cant even compromise to that, they just have to smear him and the other ***** in the debate actively try to laugh out loud into their mics like 5 year olds whenever the moderator asks ron paul a question
man this election is gonna suck, if dr paul cant swing the republican nomination i really hope hillary doesnt get the democrat nod. - Dumbledorito, on 10/10/2007, -4/+49Hannity lied? Geddowtahere.
- Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+44I dont know about everyone else here, but i bought 16 iphones yesterday just so i could vote more than once in a opinion poll on fox news!
- kindrobot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+42Nice Hannity impression.
- matador3, on 10/10/2007, -1/+41You Paul haters complaining about spam are a bunch of drama queens. If you don't like it don't click on it. For example, I don't really care about Ubuntu but I don't go burying the stories and throwing a bitch fit in the comment threads. You're spamming, we aren't.
- loggia, on 10/10/2007, -1/+40If Ron Paul's supporters are so dedicated that they consistently vote in television and internet polls, in an extremely organized fashioned, that say a tremendous positive amount about the candidate. Not negative.
Ask any candidate. They don't need supporters who DON'T VOTE on election day. - Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+38the reason they are the most popular news network IMO is because most people with half a brain dont even watch TV anymore...
the only time i watch tv is when there's absolutely nothing else to do and use it as backround noise for my internet browsing, even then it's all shows that i recorded on the DVR.
That being said, of course ron paul won, people into ron paul are some of the most politically informed and proactive people i have talked to. they knew the debate was going on and they were definetly going to vote in any poll. it was a no brainer. It might not reflect the total populace at this point, but his message is starting to catch on. He had pretty damn good support in the crowd for being the only person on stage those people cheering could possibly choose while agreeing with the views they were cheering for.
even though i dont support everything dr paul has to say, i give him my support in this coming election. Ill take the compromise on the issues to help take this country back.
- neckfire, on 10/10/2007, -9/+43Sounds about right.
- davmattucci, on 10/10/2007, -2/+35Despite being a Democrat and vowing to not vote Republican, my question is simply this: Why do all the people who claim to hate Ron Paul so much only argue that he sucks, not that ***** Romney, Poopy Giuliani, or any of the other useless tools up there are any better? I never hear "Mit Romney is a better candidate because ______" I only hear "You guys are lame, Ron Paul sucks." If you're going to sit here and bitch about stories, offer up logical arguments not 4th grade name calling. THAT'S what's ruining DIgg for me.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+28Who cares about Sean harity
- Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+25Yeah, and supporters of other candidates apparently are not capable of voting more than once, only ron paul supporters.
- Waiting2awake, on 10/10/2007, -0/+23Lie? Fabricate news to make people think/feel something that isn't true. The danger is that if the 5th estate doesn't do it's job, some un-named Government Admin. could snow an entire country into thinking people or Countries are threats when they aren't - which leads to what we have had to live through for the last 7 years.
- davmattucci, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24Thank You! If its SO obnoxious, why do they keep reading? I could give a rat's ass about Ubuntu, Paris Hilton, or half of the other tripe that shows up on Digg... its pretty easy to bypass with this clever combination of tools I call eyes and a mouse...
- smacksaw, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22What a dilemma. Hannity says FOX is susceptible to cheating in voting. Yet they won't reprimand him because they don't want to promote RP.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -10/+28Ok, so the RP supporters didn't spam the text messaging, but they spammed their friends and their friends friends and explained who RP is and why they should text in, and in a swell of mouth to mouth communication they are subverting the messages we, the broadcasters, are trying to send!
They cheated, damnit! - Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18yeah, because he's been a shining becon of truth in the past. i cant believe how immature these people are. who the ***** was seriously LAUGHING into their mic every time ron paul got a question? guliani? yeah that's the guy i want running the country, someone who acts like a 3rd grader.
- tgarza17, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21Ron Paul would NOT have won this one if me and my buddies could figure out how to send a vote with these damn Jitterbug phones our kids gave us. Screw Pauls' message of freedom. I've had all the freedom I can handle. Now I want the government to take care of me. I want a monthly check and a free meda-scooter so I can roll down to BurgerMart and get my 99 cents worth with cheese.
- V3n0M, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17The beautiful thing about being a Democrat on-the-fence about Ron Paul is, you can have your cake and it it too. (no sarcasm!) If your state has open primaries, or if you switch to Republican in the primary, then you can help Ron Paul get the nomination, while knowing that one of the Democratic candidates will also get a nomination. (This only works if you have no strong feelings for one Democrat candidate over the other.)
Then you can watch RP and the #1 Democrat battle it out on debates, and judge in the end who you prefer. But the good thing is, you still have that choice after the Primaries are over. Plus, no matter who wins, at least it will get our loved ones out of Iraq! - patrickray, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19I am just wondering how many of the nay sayers have ever looked up Ron Paul's voting record. He has never voted to increase your taxes. He never voted in support of this war. He wants to legalize pot, only because there is no where in the constitution does it say the federal government can dictate what I can snort, smoke inject or ingest into my own body. In short, if it isn't allowed by the constitution, he doesn't believe the government should do it.
I really like the guy and what he stands for. He has never flip flopped on anything. FINALLY, an honest politician. Who knew there was such a thing?
I only hope that by so many of us voting for Paul that we don't skew the election and let a Democrat in the White House. That's how Clinton got in. I just can't remember that guy's name. The rich guy with the big ears. Anyway..... - AntBing, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16I voted for RP one time during that poll. I will vote for him again on October 21 after the so called debate in Orlando. They really need to call these what they truly are. Question and answer sessions. I see no debating going on.
- Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18for hating ron paul threads so much, you sure like to make a pointless comment in every single one of them.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16So lets see.... you work in a t-mobile factory (I wasn't aware that t-moble produced durable goods) and had 10,000 workers, which is pretty much the entire population of a fairly large town, go through 200,000 cell phones, and vote for RP.... I'm calling shenanigans.
200,000 votes and he still only got 33%?!? - aslave2thegrind, on 10/10/2007, -5/+20Of course someone tried to beat the poll...but if the standard response is in fact "you can only vote once" then this proves Hannity was at the least mistaken about Ron Paul supporters swaying the vote through spamming. Unless...they had multiple phones. Hmm. The plot thickens.
- perish, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Well said.
- Elranzer, on 10/10/2007, -4/+18I would love to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries, but that would mean having to register as a Republican, even if temporary. Ugh, I think I would have to shower for weeks to get that dirty feeling to go away.
- Optimaximal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14"Dude! Let me borrow your phone"
"Why?"
"I want to text a vote into Fox news phone poll"
"Ok" - Zbrah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Yeah,but how many people have more than one active cell phone with different accounts? And if someone did use another person's phone it was most likely with that person's consent...so it evens out more or less...
- kindrobot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14He should have been ejected. Now THAT would have a been entertaining AND the right thing to do.
- Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17well since supporters of other candidates so vastly outnumber supporters of ron paul, why arent they able to organize internet forums and sway polls their way?
i hate every time someone mentions ron paul in the media, they put up an asterik saying "oh he's the guy popular to internet people" as if we're people from another ***** country. he's popular to americans, americans that are active in politics. get your head out of your ass, just because someone uses the internet doesnt make them an entirely different demograpihc of people - djcarl, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14even if its true, he must have the smartest tech fan base
- Shorties, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Ill admit, I never vote in those polls but yesterday I voted for Ron Paul. While I personally think it was his worse debate he still was the only one there I would remotely consider voting for. (I most likely will vote democrat, but if he is the republican nomination I might just have to vote for him). So I think you could say it was slightly rigged, mostly because his supporters have more passion and reason to vote in those polls then your average joe watching the debate. But man I could not stand the negative attitude Fox News took against Ron Paul, they had their analyst show a argument between ron paul and one of the other candidates and showed the little graph of the peoples opinions, but the thing was ron paul didn't start to win the argument till the end and fox cut that off.
- Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13This is why ron paul has such a huge following from people who do more than watch big media "news" stations.
they believe whatever hannity and papa bear tell them to believe. we scrutinize and research everything we hear - cnycompguy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13What is more likely, using common sense?
1.) That a small group of ron paul fanatics each bought hundreds or thousands of cell phones so they could sit there for hours and send text messages.
2.) That a sizable piece of the republicans watching a republican news channel, voted for the candidate least likely to further embarrass their party.
Occam's razor, use it. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12I was trying to see if it could be done.
- slapded, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15fox news sucks
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Fox News is the most informative TV news channel. Not the most accurate, but the most informative. If I want accurate, I check multiple written sources, it's both faster and self-verifying.
I watch Fox News to see what the public are being told to be the truth, which in politics, is more important than what the facts actually are. - kindrobot, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14Rallying is NOT manipulation. If it is, evangelical churches have a lawsuit coming and their congregations' right to vote should be revoked, since it's cheating. Right?
But go ahead and explain how it's different, I'm waiting. - chiggah, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11I guess it's the same people that is too lazy to make 2 additional clicks to the tech section that's bitching about it. Which is funny because since it's the readers that dictates what goes on front page. So really, they're just hating other diggers that doesn't share their interest.
What do you expect though? It's the internet. Serious ***** business. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Of course people support Ron Paul because of his view on one issue - liberty..
- twobitsprite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10And the supporters of the other candidates, er, just can't figure out how to use those darned phone thingers...?
- Fordi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9SMS that originates from a 'Net site comes from the same number per site.
If Ron Paul was getting votes via SMS on even every website that provides the service, that's only about a hundred extra votes. Meanwhile, Tor is useless in this case, as most SMS senders don't care how many you send. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Welcome to the world of sarcasm.
Sometimes people use it to help convey a message. - rocke86, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Just ignore the treads you don't like. I pass by the iphone ones, the iphone may be more important than Dr. Paul fixing the US to some, but not me. I don't come in and troll stories I am sick of. Digg is community based get used to it.
- Hazardc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10well no ***** *****. i think we all know every dumbass in the country is allowed to vote. look who lives in the white house.
Marginal? only because they will say anything they need to say to make it look like ron paul only won because his supporters cheated the poll somehow. But really marginal? what do you want him to get 75% of the vote next time? -
