Ideological Search
"Posted as part of our April Fool's Day edition."
http://research.yahoo.com/ideological_search - bringitdownnow, on 04/21/2009, -2/+19Only Democrat and Republican options?
Political spectrum is fail buried. - mithrasinvictus, on 04/21/2009, -10/+26Isn't that what Fox "News" is for?
- Pixelante, on 04/21/2009, -9/+23Isn't that what Digg is for?
- techboy12, on 04/21/2009, -0/+11There is only two websites, Huffington Post for Democrats and Newsmax for Republicans.
- christoast, on 04/21/2009, -9/+17There should be one for:
Science/Religion
aka
Facts/***** we made up - yashicak, on 04/21/2009, -1/+8Nice post. I have to do some R&D on this...
- inajeep, on 04/21/2009, -2/+8You lost, get over it. I'm quoting from a GOP poster 8 and 4 years ago but it applies here too.
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -4/+10I'm sorry, did you just try to make a funny? Because you failed.
- christoast, on 04/21/2009, -1/+6The third button should be a marijuana leaf.
- SOSHaruhi, on 04/21/2009, -1/+5Republican or Democrat? ***** that... the only ideologies that matters is:
Liberty or Tyranny - Chrysalii, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4wow, people are taking this way to seriously.
- MOJIRA, on 04/21/2009, -2/+6Not really, there's a lot of liberal bashing Obama hating stories that I see on the front page all the time. It's actually pretty diverse on digg; plenty of free-thinkers or idealogues, depending on how you see it.
- XtheXlanternX, on 04/21/2009, -0/+4The sad thing is that a lot of people will think this is a good idea.
- MrColdheart, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3Not the Onion?
- nick700, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3wow, what an aweful idea!
- vegr, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3I love the way there are only 2 options!
- WMurderface, on 04/21/2009, -0/+3or you could just add site:huffingtonpost.com or site:redstate.com to a Google search
- boredco, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2"Posted as part of our April Fool's Day edition" - that might be a clue
- Sudha, on 04/21/2009, -1/+3come on people, its an april fools day joke.. it seems all the people in this thread were fooled...
- Chrysalii, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2Or a bar of gold.
- scoot3r, on 04/21/2009, -4/+6Next is religion... that'll be scary...
- OstrakonX, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2Both are false dichotomies.
- jynweythek, on 04/21/2009, -3/+5this is dangerous. diverse information is a critical ingredient in free thought. IF the engine was used for the purpose of finding opposing viewpoints then it could be useful, but realistically I see this being used by people wanting to enforce their already-set opinions rather than challenging themselves.
buried. - MOJIRA, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2Oh. Well that changes things.
- rockon4life45, on 04/21/2009, -2/+4wtf, Democrat by default
- gameboyhippo, on 04/21/2009, -2/+4Beat me to it. Only at Digg is your only right to believe and regurgitate the belief of the Digg masses.
- vulapine, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2"It is nothing but a useless search engine"
Correction, it's noting but a joke posted about 3 weeks ago on April 1. Is there anything you can think of that's special about that day? - yarcod, on 04/21/2009, -0/+2Yup, just like when you vote, your only choices are:
Spend, Expand, and Tax
or
Spend, Expand, and Borrow. - Schug, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1I know this is off-topic, but you are quite the internet stereotype.
- sinembarg0, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1if you search for marijuana, both seems to show results in support of legalization.
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -3/+4No Libertarian, Buried
- inactive, on 04/23/2009, -0/+1Really?
- inactive, on 04/21/2009, -2/+3Exactly. Where's the socialist option? :(
(And not the namby-pamby "Democrat" socialism either) - evergrim, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1Where's the Alex Jones button?
- Schug, on 04/24/2009, -0/+1yes.
- rm249, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1Haha, the first search result for "weed" under republican is "Newsmax.com - Bush Gets a Weed Wacker for Christmas". lmao
- yarcod, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1You can already do this by watching Fox News and the like.
- scarth, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1interesting if you take the time to search both sides. at least it sorts out your results for you.
important to know your enemy. - lear, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1Ha, good one.
- Monotonousblob, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1I prefer http://memeorandum.com/ plus Memorandum Colors Greasemonkey script.
- bobburn1, on 04/21/2009, -0/+1Yeah, and they've done so for decades.
- riyanray, on 04/21/2009, -0/+0ohhh nooo... LOL
- salstress, on 04/21/2009, -2/+2the people have chosen tyranny
- Lamadave222, on 04/21/2009, -1/+1You can already do this by watching ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, PBS cause they all get their news from each other. Ever wonder who decided that the Republican color would be RED. This kind of propaganda statement needs to be investigated. Nancy? If you believe the GOP should be red, you may also believe that Ike was a commie. That makes you a Bircher and indicates that paranoid people exist on both sides of the spectrum. The problem is the Democrats take their nutcakes seriously. I am not a socialist, Danny Ortega is a nice guy and ain't Fidel cute in his military uniform and a cigar. Bill Ayers didn't actually kill anybody, he just wanted to. No wonder he wound up in education; those that can, do, those that can't wind up at the University of Chicago.
- eleete, on 04/22/2009, -1/+1and their ratings speak to yours.
Fox News also dominated the list of top news analysis programs, claiming nine of the top 10 spots. “The O’Reilly Factor” finished first, averaging 3.4 million viewers and posting a 27% gain over last year. “O’Reilly” also wrapped up the month of March with its 100th consecutive month in the No. 1 spot. Following “O’Reilly” in the top five were “Hannity” (2.7 million), “Glenn Beck” (2.2 million), “Special Report With Bret Baier” (2 million) and “The Fox Report With Shepard Smith” (1.9 million). MSNBC broke into the top 10 with “Countdown With Keith Olbermann,” which averaged 1.4 million viewers for the quarter.
