"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds." --Samuel Adams - gmason08, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6BTW notice the pictures they chose to use for each candidate, particularly for Mike Gravel, but at least they listed both the D's and R's in proper alphabetical order instead of the bought and paid fors at the top.
- zeroDNT, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6gmason08 very true, i support Ron Paul from when i first heard him on CSPAN speaking about income tax, more people need to be informed, we need to take it to the streets!!
- FunkBuddha, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6yeah, they still left off Gilmore... but his supporters can deal with that. I honestly think they just didn't do much research before putting this thing up.
- DetroitAdam, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4The whole debate is about honesty so let's get ready to rumble as they say in Vegas! Our group hopes for the best and most honest candidates and knows they will be there. Ron Paul is my personal choice within the Unstructured group but I can't fault those who bring it strong with facts and histories. I want to hear them loud and clear all over this mess of a site. I think we should focus off line and online and fight hard baby, for whoever we want. FIGHT people- in many dimensions and don't LET them scare you into submission with Obama or Clinton or Tommy or whomever. Newt isn't going to cut it with us. Think about true issues and how they'll have an effect on your children- RFID, GPS, The SPP(North American Union), your liberty and freedom from control of your children and lives. I love the fact that people are being honest and hopefully voting their hearts and minds. We the People are not stupid, we will be wise! Don't believe the mainstream hype and do it in your own style! See how it works out, eh?
Peace to you from Detroit!

How's that working out for you BDD, do you think you are making progress Taking Back Your Life?
Don't be discouraged if your recovery is going slowly, recognizing and admitting your problem is the first step and you cannot expect much yet since your self-help effort started only about a year ago.
The Digg Community is saddened to learn that the explanation for your affliction is that you have been a victim of an abusive relationship (did that happen in the Berkeley area?) but we truly wish you can get healed very soon. - mstebbins, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4WHO said it couldn't be done?!? We are 'netizens. Hear us ROAR!

Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society. - gmason08, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4I would like your opinion on something, please read the following and share your thoughts:
RP Supporters/Free Speech Supporters/People against Censorship of Info at any level other than that of each individuals right to accept or reject info for themselves-Please read and consider the following and if you agree please spread this word as much as possible, please do not allow/assist any of us caving to a vocal/partisan AntiRP minority no matter what seemingly logical excuses they use.
Do not be fooled or bullied by those crying SPAM to run us off. That is their goal, they are using that as an excuse to promote/advance their own partisan agendas. You, I and all RP supporters have just as much right to be here(DIGG) as anyone else and we have just as much right to submit and Digg what we are interested in. I and many benefit from having a convenient place to get updated on all the latest re: Ron Paul and the issues that make a candidate like RP just what our country needs.
On a related note: When you encounter the Anti-Ron Paul Brigade do not be bashful about asking questions/making comments like below of those that seek out RP submissions to make negative comments particularly ones that purport to be unbiased/concerned about how we are hurting our candidate/concerned about "spamming/Digg"/they really like Ron Paul BUT...
Any comments regarding the activities of the Anti-Ron Paul Brigade? Their only motivation is protecting the Dignity and Integrity of Digg/All that is Digg Holy?
Is that your non-partisan perspective? I speak in support of Ron Paul so my loyalties are obvious. When I find people like yourself disparaging him, which is your right I'm fine with that, I frequently ask them to state their allegiance. Only seems fair to me. The responses I get to that question are(in order of frequency) 1. No response(cowards) 2. I have not decided yet(dodge) 3. (after I try to pin them down by rephrasing the question to who is on your long list of possibles/which party do you favor)-no response(cowards) 4. a few have given either a few possibles/or one name.
As I said, I speak in support of Dr. Paul, people know from which perspective my comments are coming from.
Would you like to do people the courtesy of allowing them to know your political view. Who is your current favorite for POTUS or your list of yes, maybe, no or at least which party/part of the political spectrum you lean towards?
They, the AntiRP Brigade are in the position of CENSOR not a popular position on Digg or most places so they are hoping we will self censor Dr Paul's message. We will not do that.
I did an analysis about 1 month ago of Ron Paul submissions to total submissions. The percentage of RP submissions was tiny(I can begin posting that analysis again if you like). What is more enlightened/non-partisan/pro free choice/pro free speech, burying the small fraction of RP submissions just because they are RP submissions, so people are not allowed to decide for themselves the merits of what was offered. Or, allowing all to decide to be their own censors, those not interested can ignore RP offerings those that are interested/curious can be free to make their own decision to accept or reject.
I would think that if someone did not have a political agenda of their own they would not care less about having more candidate info available. Let the Info Flow, Let the People decide(for themselves).
We are on the side of offering info for those that may be interested, after all each person must take individual action to see that info.
The AntiBrigade is on the side of suppressing info from seeing the light of day. Who are they to judge what people are allowed the see/hear. - Reiher, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2Oh, just some people on the MySpace Ron Paul support group is all..... haha

Traits of Cults:
The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law.
Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.
The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group
The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.
The group is preoccupied with making money.
