- joeyjesus, on 01/09/2008, -2/+54how can the american media be taken back from the corporate crooks and given to honest people? the airwaves belong to ALL americans, not just corporations!!!!!
- lucidguru, on 01/09/2008, -1/+45Our government is responsible for arming dangerous countries with nuclear weapons. And then our media blocks evidence of our government officials giving away these nuclear secrets... And NOTHING IS BEING DONE! When will it be enough?
We have reached the point of no return... Our president consciously commits numerous crimes with total impunity. Our leaders have sold our economy to the Chinese and Japanese in the form of debt and the oncoming recession continues to escalate. We attack defenseless Middle Eastern countries to make the rich richer. We torture foreign captives and jail our own citizens for non-violent drug crimes. The government taps our phones, films us on camera, and records our internet activities. We no longer have habeas corpus. The first, fourth, sixth, ninth and tenth amendments in the Bill of Rights have all be severely compromised.
The government/media has declared war on the people. - Groovemaster, on 01/09/2008, -2/+39The entire US political system is built upon a structure of lies so elaborate that one glimpse into the abyss fills most Americans with stomach-clenching dread. Their only chance at solace is to remain purposefully ignorance.
Reminds me of the Manic Street Preachers song "If White America Told The Truth For One Day Its World Would Fall Apart".
"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." -- George Orwell - eFiniTi, on 01/09/2008, -1/+28This is downright scary. I know I'll sound like a nut, sometimes I wonder if we're in a facist state already or if we're living in a society of complacent sheep that are just ok with it.
I'm not sure why so many still have faith in our government. I've certainly lost all trust. I guess the phrase still rings true. All power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - wageslaven, on 01/09/2008, -2/+29Unreal, who'd have thunk it? The Plutocracy not only owns the government, they own the press.
Someone has to stand up to these damn people -- the only one talking about it is Edwards and Kucinich. - smacksaw, on 01/09/2008, -1/+22Where there's smoke, there's fire. She seems quite credible to me.
- pleiadianagenda, on 01/09/2008, -1/+16I urge all govt workers, police, fireman, civil servants, military, etc who value their own integrity and morals to start blowing the whistle on every govt crime they know of. Its all about people power, and if that means your job or whatever, its a small price to pay to save your soul.
Many many govt officials are blowing the whistle. It needs to reach critical mass. Follow in their footsteps. Make your stand. The time is right now. - xinpheld, on 01/09/2008, -1/+15Sibel Edmons has been trying to get her story out for a long time. One of the main reasons that she hadn't been able to is because of various gag orders placed on her by the Justice Department since 2001. She's been closely watched by the government but managed to get herself noticed enough by the right people to have it noticed if she just 'disappeared'. I'm really surprised that she hasn't already been found in the middle of the woods, victim of 'suicide'.
- Frnnkdlxx, on 01/09/2008, -1/+14It's like we're living in a retarded bubble. And what's that about Al Qaeda? Why would America need to buy nuclear secrets? X)_). Sounds counterintuitive to me. Not only that, but why would Pakistan need to buy nuclear technology when we gave it to them openly? Oh well. Here's to living in one of the most oppressive regimes on the planet, made worse by the fact that we're the most powerful.
- mavar, on 01/09/2008, -2/+15I am not an Christian or from a western country, so I may be touching a few nerves with the following because of my ignorance of popular sentiments. Apologies in advance.
I was wondering if the democracy is the Santa Claus which governments makes us believe in. Children are shown this whole myth of Santa Claus who doesn't exist, who is supposed to be this best guy ever rewarding those who are 'well behaved'. May be 'democracy' is the Santa Claus we are led to believe in.
And I believe this is done everywhere in all democracies. Except China (probably) because there the people know there is no such thing as democracy. Very unfortunate. - weeeezzll, on 01/09/2008, -3/+15Who cares about this crap! What we need are up to the minute updates of who Paris Hilton is blowing, and news ticker full of celebrity drug rehab statistics.
- Waiting2awake, on 01/09/2008, -2/+13And yet again.. I am forced to ask.. IS THIS ENOUGH?? If wire tapping, illegal wars, breaking international laws, secret prisons, torture, rape, etc, etc are not enough...... Will this be what shakes the average American from their slumber?
- inactive, on 01/09/2008, -1/+11Anyone who speaks the truth will be labeled as a stark raving lunatic- It is only a matter of time before the media spins this modern day "Diogenes" into an alarmist conspiracy theorist and sadly many people will believe the spin- yet the good news is many many more will not. Its time for a good ol' fashion lynching of the elite. I say drag that old bug-eyed bitch Barbara Bush out onto her front lawn and draw and quarter her ass in front of her husband, her pathetic excuse of a son and her grand children...Then we should torture the rest of them.
Seriously folks it is that bad. GET PISSED OFF AND STAY PISSED OFF. KILL THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN BECAUSE BELIEVE ME THEY WILL MAKE THINGS EVEN WORSE... ITS WHAT THEY DO! - lhbaker, on 01/09/2008, -1/+11That's a truly strange comment. The only proof you would accept that she's not a crackpot would be for her to die in an 'accident.' You sly dog.
- inactive, on 01/09/2008, -1/+10Also, just to point out, this is a frickin list of the people Ron Paul was talking about in the Neoconned speech BEFORE the Iraq war. He stood up alone to make that speech and outed these straussian ***** before any of this stuff started to break. I can't believe this is only getting like 400 diggs. This is the most important story of this century so far.
- inactive, on 01/09/2008, -1/+9This is a wet dream. Did you hear that list of neocons? Rudy isn't going to have a campaign staff after this. This boggles the mind. No Kristol mentioned, that's a shame. This is high treason! These guys could hang. Can you imagine?
- inactive, on 01/09/2008, -0/+8"Actually I think Ron Paul would support the "freedom" for the network owners to publish what ever news they see fit, because he wants to turn our democracy into a capitalist society."
That's what it is now in the worst sense of the word already. Lobbying = trading money for power. Washington revolves around this ***** now. Paul wanted to change all that and break up the corrupt centralized Federal government.
Too bad people don't understand that. - inactive, on 01/09/2008, -1/+9Hey, Richard Perle was one of the guys involved. That's so cool. I just hate that guy. This is huge. They give nuke secrets to whoever they want to attack and then attack them. This is friggin huge.
- rac1234, on 01/09/2008, -2/+9er, that's two.
- nahoda, on 01/09/2008, -1/+8After reading "A man called Intrepid", a book about what really went on during WWII, I can never believe anything about the government that the press covers. If they were doing that kind of manipulation and cover-up back then, I can only imagine the amount of manipulation going on today.
- dforty3, on 01/09/2008, -1/+8You don't need a master overview to recognize treasonous activities. If you consider that her job was translating, it not hard to imagine how she would have access to classified information. If she didn't have so much damaging information on them, why would they place a gag order on her, citing national security. Why was her 9/11 Commission testimony classified and not included in the report?
- Frnnkdlxx, on 01/09/2008, -2/+8Vote for someone who actually ACKNOWLEDGES they exist. Vote for the person with a track record of being against the monopoly and the derailing of our rights to the benefit of corporations that don't want us interfering with their nation and global empire.
- DogBotherer, on 01/09/2008, -1/+7It's also old, which makes it worse. This story has been covered up for years...
- Waiting2awake, on 01/09/2008, -0/+6Let me see if I get this right. This girl has had infromation - the media blacks it out, it gets censored, and she is forced to go to the BBC to get the info out, while the MSM is still ignoring it - and you think it is HER that is the traitor??
What gives? - dforty3, on 01/09/2008, -1/+7They had to cover it. The American media has covered this up for so long and refused to take her up on her offer to tell all, so when she resorted to the BBC, the Times couldn't just ignore it. That would make their corrupt corporate media news coverage too obvious. Obvious even to those people that think FOX News is owned by an American company because of their use of the red, white and blue colors. Did you know that GE (NBC) has earned over $2 billion in defense contracts in the last year? Do you think they have an interest in keeping the war going?
- mst3kcrow, on 01/09/2008, -1/+7If they considered it and have half a brain, they would wait until she is out of the direct spot light. The arrangement would be more of a disappearance then an accident.
- Sinudeity, on 01/09/2008, -2/+8I'll keep on saying it, if the US wants everyone else to disarm their nuclear weapons, they should lead by example! ONLY country to disarm its nuclear arsenal, South Africa.
- Frostman3D, on 01/09/2008, -4/+10WTF? Digg this ***** up!
- Spankov, on 01/09/2008, -1/+7"Will this be what shakes the average American from their slumber?"
You are ALL the average American. DO SOMETHING! Stop waiting for everyone else to stir into action. - timbo458, on 01/09/2008, -1/+7Quit talking about it and DO SOMETHING!!!
- JacobVorpahl, on 01/09/2008, -1/+7Even if what she says is false (I'm not saying it is or isn't), it would at least make the scroll text on the bottom of some news channel. That is quite surprising/disturbing. The media blackout almost gives it the credibility it needs.
- PhilLesh69, on 01/10/2008, -0/+5Sibel Edmunds has been trying to alert us to the foreign influence within our goverment since 2001. She's been fired, gagged and threatened with litigation.
Yet, she has not given up.
I think she might have something to say. Especially considering how hard they've tried to prevent her from speaking out. - lucutus, on 01/09/2008, -1/+6it's on Reuters now. It will at least get a mention in the MSM.
- yodaj007, on 01/09/2008, -0/+5Ronald McDonald pulled out of the race the day he entered. Did you miss the memo?
- digitalarcanum, on 01/09/2008, -1/+6the federal government exists for one reason and one reason only: Gimme money. lots of it. I want as much of it as I can get out of you with as little backtalk as possible.
- GettinReal, on 01/09/2008, -1/+6Well its obvious whats going on. As the politicians warn us of terrorists and "mushroom" clouds" here in the US, they are busy selling our secrets to our "enemies" in order to facilitate their predictions. Look at the list of these people!!! It is obvious our government has been infiltrated by enemy agents. Ron Paul would be my second choice for Washington...My first choice-The Rifleman!!
- tbif, on 01/09/2008, -1/+6 There is a lot more to this story than what has recently been reported.
If this is of any interest to you , I would suggest doing a little more research.
Personally, I believe what she says but with a 10 percent chance of being false.
That being said, There are documents to back up her claims. She has stated many times that congress and the 9/11 commission knows what she knows. That is the scary part. Why do you think there are so many pervs and such in office? They have been and are being blackmailed. She has stated that she heard tapes of Hastert being bribed to drop the Turkey genocide label. Does that mean she saw it happen? No. It just means that it should be investigated. Didn't Pelosi also drop the same label? Pretty interesting if you ask me. If corporations can buy our politicians why can people not grasp that other countries are doing the same? She worked in counter intelligence and has stated before that the arms trade, drug trade and money laundering all come together.
Anyhow, believe what you will but this actually has the chance to get checks and balances in order and lets the American people get their gov. back. I just hope this gets investigated and if the ball starts rolling I think a lot of other corruption will surface. Good day - inactive, on 01/09/2008, -1/+6Nice well written response, sir!
Status Quo, bigjim's for it! What about YOU? - h3lx, on 01/09/2008, -0/+5...One mind, brute force, and full of money...
--The fact that Sibel's speech isn't free is a testament to just how far down the slippery slope we're sliding. - dforty3, on 01/09/2008, -1/+6You doubt that 6 nuclear warheads were flown across the country? That was acknowledged by the administration. As for the voting, I'll never trust electronic voting. You need to do a little research on that. Google Black Box Voting. It's a video about the voting irregularities in 2004. Whether or not proof is forthcoming on this year's election of election fraud, it's already been proven that it can and has be done in previous elections. A number of states have already confirmed the hackabilty of these machines and have pulled them, but not enough of them. Some 80% of all voting in America is electronic and subject to shenanigans.
- inactive, on 01/09/2008, -2/+7ALl about the slander today, I see. One guy gets legislation passed through the House so easily!
And yes, ***** the FCC. - Sinudeity, on 01/09/2008, -2/+6A digg and a thumbs up for that one.
- dforty3, on 01/09/2008, -0/+4The airwaves are licensed to the networks from the public. Hence they are ours to license and restrict.
- sobenofear, on 01/09/2008, -1/+5IF what she claims is true, the death penalty for treason looks to be the best and ONLY option for these traitors.
- dforty3, on 01/09/2008, -1/+5Really, ask your closest neighbor what they know about her. They are likely to know more about Britney Spears.
- DogBotherer, on 01/09/2008, -1/+5Also it's hardly likely that they would've gagged her quite so thoroughly and aggressively as they have if she were just a kook and there was absolutely nothing to her story...
- diggzaphod, on 01/09/2008, -1/+5get behind us buddy, Canada disarmed back in the early 60's.
- Waiting2awake, on 01/09/2008, -0/+4True - a self inflicted shotgun blast to the back of the head, with her hands tied...
- Waiting2awake, on 01/09/2008, -0/+3HERE HERE. Time they realize why they fear the masses.
