Woman arrested for "second-degree self abortion"

blog.syracuse.com — It's illegal to practice medicine without a license when involving others, but what about yourself? Do you own your body or not? A broader issue is why things are so bad that the woman was forced to attempt an abortion on herself. Surely things aren't that bad in the U.S.?

First the religious kooks make doctors scared to perform abortions, then they threw snags in the ability to get morning-after pills, and now they're coming after DIY people. It's sad that this woman felt she had to do it, but she has the right, regardless of what ghost-worshipping folk say.
