- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -5/+184Fox may have set the fires themselves in order to fan the flames of terrorist hysteria and increase their ratings.
- Ndiggnation, on 10/31/2007, -4/+139Yeah, because no one other than terrorists, since the time of the caveman, has had the idea of starting a fire..
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -10/+124Its been well proven that Rupert Murdoch's Fox News is a neocon right-wing extremist propaganda outlet for the Republican party & the Bush administration. Don't watch it unless you want to know what the opposite of the truth is & what GOP propaganda their brainwashing people with. And tell your friends & family about them. Also check out http://mediamatters.org/ (started by an ex-Republican aide) to see their lying bias for yourself. Lastly watch OutFoxed where ex-Fox employees & media analysts speak out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuorIjt1HG0, its a must watch documentary. Also check out http://foxattacks.com/ for more info.

- Gabberwok, on 10/31/2007, -5/+92Were the terrorists responsible for Katrina too?
- inactive, on 10/29/2007, -4/+83Faux News: we put the terrorism in journalism
- GuacamoleSan, on 10/29/2007, -2/+72*spits in spitoon* *takes swig*. its dem terrorists. *licks hole in tooth* yerp. seen em dun it mahself.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 10/29/2007, -5/+74I'm confused. I thought the liberals from California were the terrorists' best friend. Why would they do this to their friends?
- nikagreenz, on 10/31/2007, -8/+58why wouldn't these scary evil "terrorists" just light up downtown LA instead of lingering out in the counties...?
we should be more afraid of FOX brainwashing than mystery arsonists, and we should help our displaced people first before pointing fingers (which achieves nothing in regards to restoring lost homes and lives). - holybjork, on 10/29/2007, -2/+52Tricia Takanawa: Is Quahog in the grip of a serial arsonist? Police say no, but our producer says yes. Here's an artist's depiction of what the arsonist might look like [cuts to a picture of a giant, fire-breathing, insect-like monster].
- delafere, on 10/31/2007, -2/+46What's the point, without any actual evidence? I'm considering the possibility of a lightning strike myself, since that is usually what starts fires in a drought. Fox is just fear-mongering. Fun!
- emil1212, on 10/26/2007, -4/+46You know what? It probably WAS a terrorist. The terrorist was probably out camping with his terrorist buddies, they were having a cigarette (all terrorists smoke, that's also plausible), when they THOUGHT they were done, they discarded the cigarettes in the woods, thus setting all of California A-blaze.
Should we call them Eco-Terrorists now? - nevercheat, on 10/31/2007, -5/+46"Did al Qaeda burn California?" No, the fire did.
- FluffyWolf, on 10/26/2007, -1/+36Yes, of course it is al-Qaeda behind the fire. But how is it connected to Iran? I hope they are going to tell us tomorrow.
- skyshock1, on 10/29/2007, -2/+33Al Qaeda is responsible for Fox News.
*neo-con head asplodes* - roland, on 10/26/2007, -0/+31"If you blame everything on the terrorists then the terrorists have already won."
- Genady, on 10/26/2007, -3/+29You'll all be sorry when the CIA extremely renders a real live terrorist to the FBI to pin this all on! He'll probably even be a US Citizen so they can pass some law that lets them call all of us enemy combatants!

LAWLZ Who am I kidding, why would they bother with a law? - theNazz, on 10/26/2007, -3/+29There are currently four arson arrests in So Cal, but none of them are currently linked to the 'big' fires. The police are investigating several reports that these fires were intentionally set. There is no mention of terrorist links, but there is mention that arson is suspected in at least a couple of the 'big' fires.
FAUX News always slants their stories to fit the terror agenda. - inactive, on 10/31/2007, -0/+25Then you're a terrorist!
Anyone not donating all of their urine to help combat the fires is a terrorist!
I have 4 gallons saved so far. - urbandistrict, on 10/31/2007, -3/+27Terrorists did do it, if by "terrorists" you mean "power-lines + high winds + dry grass"
- Elderon, on 10/29/2007, -2/+26What *****, he even says in the video on the site that the memos were from 2003. I somehow don't think that is relevant to these fires. I'm sick of how they push their stupid piddily agendas instead of reporting the facts on hand. I can speculate too all you people at fox. You don't deserve to call yourselves journalists. You're all nothing more than primped up jerry springers
- omenmedia, on 10/29/2007, -3/+26Oh my God. I really just cannot believe the levels that Faux News has sunk to. I'm just lost for words, really I am. Oh crap, I spilled my coffee this morning, must have been the terrorists! *****, I tripped over and landed on my face, blame Al Qaeda! A meteor landed on my house, bin Laden lobbed it from his secret base on the moon! OH NOES!
- Macuyiko, on 10/26/2007, -2/+24--- TERROR ALERT: ELEVATED & ***** ---
- Damian91, on 10/26/2007, -1/+21I bet you all also didn't know that Al Qaeda were actually the ones behind the Britney Spears performance at VMAs
- wonderboy, on 10/27/2007, -2/+21The terrorists have successfully launched an attack on our imagination!
- EndersGame, on 10/26/2007, -5/+23I wish I could have been born in the good 'ol days before Al Qaeda existed and bad things never happened.
- insanebrain, on 10/26/2007, -2/+19NO. . . .dumbass.
- BlueSkyfish, on 10/26/2007, -0/+16Let me guess, someone cited global warming as one of the causes for the hot, dry conditions, fox news got defensive and tried to give it a pro-neocon spin.
- inactive, on 11/09/2007, -0/+16Terrorists have attacked our IMAGINATION and we need to get it under control.
- 80hd, on 10/26/2007, -1/+17With enough post hoc reasoning, the cause for anything is terrorism.
- hipnerd, on 10/26/2007, -1/+16Possible? Sure. Plausible? Not really. The detainee testimony was years old and the first were supposed to be set in the Midwest.
And you don't really need terrorism to explain wildfires in Southern California. They happen every year. This year the winds and weather have combined to make it a particularly bad year. Unless you think al Queda can control the weather, this is not the work of terrorists. Repeatedly pushing the terrorism button on television is beyond irresponsible. - imacommi, on 10/26/2007, -1/+15this is the dumbest thing I have every heard... wtf is wrong with these people
- Bdog2g2, on 10/26/2007, -1/+15"jackasses lit a fire poorly "
No, the fire is what he did very well. He did a poor job of putting it out and covering it. - nihilite, on 10/31/2007, -1/+15I want us to consider the possibility that nomadic presbyterian albinos drilling for uranium sparked the fire. I see no evidence that they DIDN'T do it.
It would be ridiculous to take it off the table. - krets, on 10/26/2007, -2/+15If you ask me, it's far more likely that the responsibility lies with Al Cowlings than it does with al Qaeda.
- bebop34, on 07/03/2008, -1/+13Go watch Fox News Brain Trust, the "war on terror" is a fraud and based on propaganda.
- paulbyrnes, on 10/26/2007, -0/+12Like in 1914 or 1939?
- Bdog2g2, on 10/26/2007, -1/+13I am....
of drivers in Miami. - krakdaddy, on 10/26/2007, -0/+11Thank you. Some part of Southern California catches fire every summer. Next thing you know, the terrorists will be causing hurricanes along the Gulf Coast and flooding the Mississippi River valley too.
- spyd3rweb, on 10/26/2007, -0/+11thats Asian Reporter Tricia Takanawa....
- Bdog2g2, on 10/26/2007, -1/+11Give me a ***** Break.
Its very relavent. All this FUD is ***** disgusting. For 6 years I've heard nothing but terror, terrorist, blah ablah blah....and I'm sick.
If Faux Noise, and all the other MSM wanna keep on to keep ratings hight thats fine, but as for me its *****.
and my comment was true, I'm more scared of driving in Miami than I am of another terrorist attack. - 80hd, on 10/29/2007, -1/+11This is weapons grade *****.
Terrorists cause cavities, earthquakes and conservative news corporations to lose credibility. - nosecohn, on 10/26/2007, -0/+10Of course... the dirty bomb.
- obeythefist, on 10/26/2007, -3/+13You mean the facts that in no way support the conclusion Fox has jumped to? The date of the story, the locations mentioned, the memo hasn't been verified by any agency involved and none of the fires were started by remote detonation using explosive devices. You mean those facts?
- izzie2, on 10/26/2007, -0/+9Is it possible it's really some idiot named Terry Wrist?/sarc
- MonkeyFarts, on 10/26/2007, -0/+9Right, because your risk of getting in a car wreck is higher than being attacked by a terrorist. Heck, your chance of being struck by lightning or a comet are probably higher than being struck by a terrorist. And I wouldn't say that the MSM fear mongering is fine, because lots and lots of people actually do buy into it. This crap actually affects public opinion. It makes people say, "Well, we may not have our rights, but at least we're safe!"
- 16x9, on 10/26/2007, -1/+10Okay. let's assume for the moment that you're correct. In the final analysis, what difference does it really make? Will we have to start taking off our shoes and be x-rayed before we are allowed to enter any wooded area?
If I may suggest, I think the main concern here is that any number of situations may have started these fires -- including terrorists or even nihilite's Presbyterian albinos (see following comment) -- but FOX keeps harping on this "possible" terrorist connection without a shred of evidence. Look, I know FOX News isn't real news and for all I know you may know this also. But can't FOX at least pretend to be a real news organization, you know, sometimes? - mitchlourens, on 10/26/2007, -0/+8Its hilarious because in last night's talking points memo by O'Reilly, he was criticizing other news networks for placing blame on the fires on arson...kindof hipocriticle if you ask me...
I don't like fox news, in fact I hate it, but i like to keep informed on all news networks and on all topics i can, political and otherwise. - bebop34, on 07/03/2008, -0/+8When "Al Qaeda" does it, the government immediatly has it all solved and sewn up, including everyone involved, magical passports appear out of thin air, and cameras catch them in the process. And then we are told to go shopping, Give me a break!
- Slungsolow, on 10/26/2007, -0/+8why digg this guy down for actually injecting reality into the conversation... they are on record saying that arson is suspected... this isn't all natural (or even al qeda) Sure, high winds and arid conditions fed the fires, but they didn't all come from acts of god.
