- chrissku, on 05/21/2008, -24/+201Fox News is nothing more than a propaganda network for the Bush administration. I only watch Fox News when I want a good laugh. I'm sure that most of the idiots that work for them don't beleive the majority of the ***** they read off the teleprompter.
- chrissku, on 05/21/2008, -16/+156My favorite is how Hillary Clinton keeps pointing out that Karl Rove says he thinks Hillary is the stronger candidate. It's called reverse physcology Hillary. Of course he says that......he wants John McCain facing you because of the truckload of baggage that accompanies you and your husband. John McCain can beat Hillary.....I'm not so sure he can beat Obama. Let's see McCain attract a crowd of 75,000 people. Not gonna happen.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -33/+119I hope Rove gets arrested next week.
Anyone who watches Fox news and enjoys it is an anti-American troop hating piece of scum. - SheilaNoya, on 05/21/2008, -14/+76Karl Rove claims he's not on the list of "paid" advisors for McCain's campaign. However, McCain has two highly paid campaign staffers who are supposedly being "trained" by Karl Rove. The money is handed to the "trainees" first, then they hand it over to Karl Rove.
This is the same tactic Tom DeLay used all the time, when he would make claims that he wasn't actually connected to people who were giving him money through "channels". It passes a legal test, but not the ethics test. - jaymzdean, on 05/21/2008, -9/+43I'd like to watch him knock his own teeth out with a hammer.
- rebotfc, on 05/21/2008, -3/+29Because they think Rove should be arrested next week, and believe that anyone who watches Fox news and enjoys it is an anti-american troop hating piece of scum?

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6737097743 ... - inactive, on 05/21/2008, -3/+26Makes me laugh every time I hear that too. Rove couldn't pimp for Hillary any harder, without everyone thinking they are doing each other.
- woofers07, on 05/21/2008, -7/+28Agreed, I feel the same about any remaining Bush supporters. How anyone can still support him and say they "love this country" completely blows my mind.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -5/+26Hey Karl, Hope you know that siegelman thing isn't going away and your still being called to testify...

Though I guess we can expect the same executive privalege nonsense from like the others, right?. - phatboye, on 05/21/2008, -5/+25people still watch fox news?
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 05/21/2008, -4/+20Fox News differs from the other major outlets in one major way other than right vs. left.
They purposely misrepresent information and/or people to bias their reports. They were caught handing internal memos down to reporters informing them on everything like how they were going to spin bad Republican news, what sort of attack topics to use on Democrat guests, and what issues were off limits to Republican guests.
They tell lies by asking questions, make false accusations by asking with assumptions.
To Bill Clinton:
"Why did you let Bin Laden get away?"
"Don't you think you could have done more to prevent 911?"
To George Bush:
"Don't you think people misunderstand you?"
They also have guests debate each other, but invite strong popular Republican guests to argue with obscure weak left speakers. They cut mics, shut off studio lights, cut video, and talk over people at times.
It would take a ***** idiot not to realize what they are doing. - WTFppl, on 05/21/2008, -6/+20This is why the law of the United States has become worthless.
- Dumbledorito, on 05/21/2008, -2/+14"Ken Mehlman, who ran Bush’s 2004 campaign, is now serving as an unpaid, outside adviser to the Arizona Republican. Karl Rove, the president’s top political hand since his Texas days, recently gave money to McCain and soon after had a private conversation with the senator. A top McCain adviser said both Mehlman and Rove are now informally advising the campaign. Rove refused to detail his conversation with McCain."
From: http://dyn.politico.com/printstory.cfm?uuid=8B58A6 ...
"In a May 7 Washington Post online chat with Karl Rove, the news organization correctly introduced the pundit as an "informal advisor to the McCain campaign." The Post's media reporter, Howard Kurtz, has also endorsed disclosing that Rove is a "maxed-out donor" to McCain."
From: http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2008/05/20/ro ... - BrianGarceau, on 05/21/2008, -5/+17I also heard Karl Rove babysits McCain's illegitimate black baby.
- junkwheel, on 05/21/2008, -5/+16When is he going on trial for war crimes?
- SteaminTmann, on 05/21/2008, -6/+17Agreed, I put them on the same level as "Weekly World News" with their ridiculousness
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -3/+13The brainless morons that watch that tripe wouldn't notice if McCain himself hosted the news.
- BuzzFriendly, on 05/21/2008, -4/+13Its Fox Tabloid News why would you expect anything else.
- BryanG412, on 05/21/2008, -2/+11The Republican party is no longer the party of Roosevelt and Reagan. The party has become the face of the neo-conservative movement; a movement that not only promotes the restriction of freedoms guaranteed by the constitution, but a belief that religion (primarily Christianity) and politics should be intertwined. A political movement pushing towards a theocracy; some may even argue the movement promotes an authoritarian or fascist view of government. I am talking about a party that has lied and deceived the American people (even more so than usual politicians) to wage a war in which some (if not all) members of the Republican Party have greatly profited from. It is a party that has taken no accountability for its actions...The party is tainted with political corruption and greed...I would be embarrassed to call myself a Republican.
- DonnieP84, on 05/21/2008, -2/+10dugg for Rove looking like Mr. Peanut in the story pic...
- Anonyblessed, on 05/21/2008, -0/+8Interesting comment coming from user kideater
- markgl, on 05/21/2008, -6/+14Whenever I see him on there, he doesn't pimp McCain. He's always asked to analyze the Obama Vs. Clinton showdown.
- Jexie, on 05/21/2008, -2/+9Americans have no clue what 'left' even is. In the US there is only extreme right and moderately right.
- kanabiis, on 05/21/2008, -0/+7Regan democrats, a made up word about a sect of people that voted almost 30 years ago. People throw around that term as if it means anything, or even applies to any real living people anymore. The moment someone uses that term about anyone in this election is the second they loose any credibility with me at all. The obviously know nothing of the history of what 'Reagan Democrats' were, and why it cant be used to refer to anyone today.
You see, after Stan Greenberg did all of his work regarding 'Reagan Democrats' his research team NEVER followed up with them and tracked their future voting trends. We don't have any ***** idea what happened to 'Reagan Democrats', or how they voted in 88, 92, 96, 2000, 2004, to suggest that you can now predict who they will vote for in 2008 is ludicrous. The study that coined the term was conducted in 1984, following up on the voting trends of people who voted for Kennedy in 1960. PERIOD. We don't know anything about the voting trends of these people, or if they are even alive anymore.
Think about it, if someone was 18 in 1960 and voted for Kennedy, they were 42 in 1984 to vote for Reagan, and they are now 66 years old now. Thats an 18 year old from the study. If they were 28, they are 76, if they were 38, they are 86. So you want to know who the REAL Reagan Democrats are, they are the old people today, not some 30 something in West Virginia who couldnt even vote in 1984.
Anyone that uses the term 'Reagan Democrats' is a person who has no real idea about the study, and has just been parroting the same tired cliche word without ever really doing any research themselves. If they can't bother to research something this simple, can you honestly take any further analysis from them without questioning if they really have any clue what they are talking about. - BrianGarceau, on 05/21/2008, -1/+8Is not your friend.
- ClosedCaption, on 05/21/2008, -5/+12Here's a simple way to put it: Fox news is paying Rove to analyze the competition of the guy he's paid to assist in winning the election.
Yeah, nothing. to.see. here. - ralph12c41, on 05/21/2008, -3/+9So what and who cares? CNN failed to alert viewers that Rev Wright was a close adviser of Obama.
- 1310nm, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5Sorry, there are probably not even 75,000 Decemberists fans in the entire country, let alone Portland, although it does seem strange that so many media outlets didn't report it.
Funny, though: http://unbearablebobness.typepad.com/my_weblog/200 ... - simpleid, on 05/21/2008, -2/+7http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b388/Bobidybob/b ...
- DangerCollie, on 05/21/2008, -4/+9"I'm no saint but I get so tired of Americans hating other Americans."
Oh, I absolutely hate neocon Bush supporters. The fact they're Americans is incidental. They're liars, frauds, cheats and arrogantly put themselves above the rules and accountability. They undermine everything this country stands for, everything soldiers through our history have fought and died to protect.
You're damn right I hate them. And anyone who apologizes for them or thinks we can reconcile with that mentality. They're a cancer and a plague on our nation. You don't compromise with cancer. And I don't care if their support is willful or ignorant. It's just as damaging. And I don't care if they stand in the heavenly courts and fart choir music, all the good deeds in the world won't undo the damage they've done to this nation. - tkstock, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5As a Republican, my support for Bush was adamant for a significant portion of the war. I believed that his attempt to find WMD was valid, and I believe they're hidden somewhere in either Iran or Syria. We know he had them - we sold them to him for Christ's sake!!
But, the lack of planning and a proper post-war strategy has diminished my view of Bush as an effective president. He's been inept at being able to voice his reasoning in a way that helps people to understand it, and he's been inept at working with the right people to develop a sound strategy for Iraq. The economy has also suffered under his presidency, although I don't think it's entirely his fault, but he could have acted more to make it better had he surrounded himself with the right advisors.
I support him because he's our president, but I dislike the mistakes he's made. Would I vote for him over John McCain? No. But I have the benefit of hindsight. - inactive, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5Help DC madam! Oh... wait..
- tadpoleontheweb, on 05/21/2008, -0/+5The latest Gallup poll shows both Hillary and Barack beating McCain at this point.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/107419/Gallup-Daily-Oba ... - tkstock, on 05/21/2008, -1/+6"Rightard?" You think that one up all by yourself there sparky?
The fact is that you don't get it. Rove is a commentator, not a journalist. Each time he comments he's introduced as the chief republican strategist or something of the like. He doesn't have to be held to journalistic standards, but I think his commentary is astute and remarkably neutral for someone in his position. I've seen similar commentary from Democratic strategists who also attempt to remain somewhat neutral.
There is intelligent discussion that occurs on Fox News, and many here miss it because of their preconceived hatred. If you really do have an objective mind, you can watch any show and make the decision for yourself, but the problem is most people here would rather throw rhetorical grenades rather than attempt to exercise your brain. - geneikillua, on 05/21/2008, -5/+10There is some proof of what you are saying?
- ferrell, on 05/21/2008, -6/+11Yes, but it is these people who are ***** IT UP FOR THE REST OF US!
- an0nymous, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5And he always does so in a way that marginalizes the leader and highlights conflicts within the party. He'll never talk about McCain, just about Obama's "effete liberalism" or Clinton's "lack of resonance" with the "far left wing activist arm of the party".
- the6thReplicant, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5I just don't get how you can say that with your eyes open? So is GE a left-wing tool? Is there some weird conspiracy that makes advertisers, greed and political influence somehow sway to the left in these corporations.
It just sounds like another way of dodging the bullet and not wanting to debate what objective journalism is. Yes, it does exist, just not the way the normal meaning of objective is.
Can you please explain to me how everything except FOX news is left-wing, when it just looks like everything is swayed to the "right" (really right-top on a 2-d model) and FOX is just that much more right. - inactive, on 05/21/2008, -0/+4Um...and this is proof he's getting paid by the McCain campaign?
Fail x 2
Do you have anything concrete, or just indirect supposition? - Zombi, on 05/21/2008, -2/+6Saying they don't believe what they are speaking is giving them too much credit. These people are the scum of the Earth.
- kingp, on 05/21/2008, -4/+8Karl Rove is a scumbag.
- orangefly, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5just to remind me why i'm not a republican....
- jack104, on 05/21/2008, -4/+8Hey screw you offpiste, how dare you say something like that. The soldiers are doing their job and just trying to survive and your saying that people in opposition of the war (essentially) should cheer when a soldier dies. No this isn't Vietnam you hippie, go smoke weed and fornicate in the back of a Van with yoko.
- inactive, on 05/21/2008, -5/+9And thank YOU for showing us once again that the rightards don't care about honesty, just protecting their own scumbags.
How clever of you to pretend that you don't get it.
I guess the lack of ethics and morals demonstrated by you rightards leaves you incapable of understanding why we're all PO'd.
It's funny when you pretend to be even dumber than normal. - an0nymous, on 05/21/2008, -1/+5Evil flourishes in dark and unlit corners.
