- Ozymandiass, on 05/20/2008, -4/+87I've found LGF to be a rather refreshing and honest. People who whine about them don't seem to be very honest or rational.
- SilverStar830, on 05/20/2008, -4/+80I have to agree whole heartedly with Ozymandiass. Little Green Footballs always provides nothing but truthful, insightful, and interesting information that is also always well vetted, and with links to the source(s). Sometimes the information and news at LGF is sad, but at least it's true.
I don't know what BullCutter's freaking out about. I mean, the LGF story, as always, has a direct link to the reputable AP news source that shows France is indeed having dialogue with Hamas. And Hamas is, after all, a true-blue terrorist organization that is dedicated to the infliction of murder and mayhem on innocent men, women, and children... including their own. But interestingly, I see absolutely nowhere where LGF says "France Loves Hamas". Nowhere whatsoever.
It looks like the only person trying to profit from "...divisiveness, xenophobia, irrational paranoia, misinformation" is BullCutter himself, the author of this thread. - NoamSayin, on 05/20/2008, -3/+79"But then again I hate all profiteers of 1) divisiveness, 2) xenophobia, 3) irrational paranoia, 4) misinformation 5) and basically anybody who knowingly makes the world a stupider place to live in for profit."
You mean like,
1) Barack Obama,
2) Jeremiah Wright,
3) Keith Olbermann,
4) Hillary Clinton,
and 5) Michael Moore?
Heh. - mmmmmbiscuits, on 05/20/2008, -4/+64Awwwwww, that's sweet.... you guys ♥ Hamas as much as you hate LGF. Nothing more entertaining than seeing you get the vapors!
- JimmyTheClam, on 05/20/2008, -5/+58I'd rather read about LGF than some Linux fanbois whine on and on about how with the latest distro "Linux is on the verge" of taking over all of computer land.
- GreggLD, on 05/20/2008, -4/+55bullcutter, can you explain exactly how the story is *****, instead of just stating that it is?
I'm an atheist who is primarily conservative but holds some liberal views (although I arrived at those liberal views in exactly the same way as I arrived at my conservative views, through study, observation, reason, common sense, conscience, etc.). I became aware of LGF through Internet Infidels, a BBS frequented mostly by atheists and agnostics with liberal and Leftist views. At the time I was going through a liberal stage after having been mostly conservative into my mid-20's. I had voted against Bush and felt Iraq was a mistake. The comment at Internet Infidels claimed that LGF was a right wing hate site.
When I actually visited it, checked out the information and links, read the comments, etc., however, I found it was anything but. I also didn't find any of this misinformation you talk about. Your criteria for calling something misinformation is apparently that you don't like it. A lot of people didn't like what Winston Churchill had to say about Nazi Germany, and called him a fearmongerer too.
If you'd actually take the time to read through LGF carefully over a period of time, you might come to realize that a large part of what Charles does is expose the real profiteers of divisiveness, xenophobia, irrational paranoia, and misinformation in this world. He doesn't just report on the hatred, terror, tyranny, and lies spread by CAIR, Hiz'b'allah, Hamas, Syria, Iran, etc.--he has also taken an unyielding stand against those who would ally with racist European neo-Nazi political groups to resist Islamization in Europe, and he recently strongly criticized Ben Stein's Expelled, an irrational, misinformation-filled attack on evolution, risking alienating many of his regular commenters who support intelligent design.
The fact of the matter, bullcutter, is that Western civilization IS under sustained attack from several directions right now, and it is facing an existential threat. Don't take my word for it, just actually read the stories and info and links at LGF over a period of time to get a sense of the big picture. LGF isn't indulging in paranoia or fearmongering, it's just stating the facts. Some of these facts are quite frightening, yes. But it is not rational to hate or get angry with someone for reporting facts you don't want to hear. - moonbastic, on 05/20/2008, -4/+48Once again, for a moonbat, little things like "facts" get in the way of pure, raw emotion.
- SeafoodGumbo, on 05/20/2008, -6/+49Bullcutter, you sure are an angry little clown.
Why don't you offer a single quote of Charles' to bolster your ridiculous assertions? Y'know...proof. - PurpleDragon2, on 05/20/2008, -7/+49Hey there *****, you probably just lost your account by pulling this stunt. Good.
- monsieurginger, on 05/20/2008, -5/+38I like LGF to a point. I like how it follows up on events unlike mainstream media. I like how it always tells you where they their info. I liked those videos of the UC Irvine hate speeches because you never see those in the mainstream media and it shows how despicable some of those Hamas and Hezbollah Islamofascists are. But I don't like how it covers Obama. I understand how I like the parts of LGF with which I agree on and I don't like those parts with which I disagree on but its still a good source.
- haakondahl, on 05/20/2008, -2/+35Fillmore Said:
"Not to nitpick, but this digg post links directly to the LGF site, and if you really hate them, you wouldn't do that. Instead, post your commentary on your own blog, include an excerpt of it, and maybe a link back to LGF purely for reference. Remember, every time an unsuspecting person clicks through to LGF, it just feeds the beast instead of starving it."
I am one of the LGF lizards. We believe in fact-checking. You, apparently, believe in listening only to what a third party has to say. I disagree with BullCutter, but his link to LGF provides those who agree and those who disagree alike with the means to verify or critique what he has said about LGF, and by extension, what LGF has said about France and HAMAS, in this case.
We on the right do not like the Main Stream Media because it consistently serves up a rather limited view of events, and offers no avenue for further inquiry. This is the same approach you advocate for links. Perhaps you would be more happy watching television than actually participating in truly interactive media. - carlomagno, on 05/20/2008, -4/+35For LGF; it's a laugh to be attacked by someone who writes so poorly.
Hey bullcuter! Cut the bull, yes. You shouldn't be posting comments before finishing grammar school.
You're ignorant, and on top of that, blinded by hatred; your writing skills are non-existent.
You get an F this time. - semrocks, on 05/20/2008, -5/+36Buried because the author is an idiot...
- flink405, on 05/20/2008, -3/+34Hamas = Jew-hating terrorists controlled and supported by Iran and Syria.
LGF just reports the news with their comment - people are free to comment on the website on the topic the website owner selects. - Erythroxylum, on 05/20/2008, -4/+34So much hate. Typical lefty.
- warhol15, on 05/20/2008, -4/+32I had to join LGF to find a sane refuge from all of the DiggBot Obama adoration.
- silvergoat, on 05/20/2008, -3/+27I too find that LFG is a refreshing change from the MSM drivel and pack reporting. I agree with most of the commentary, disagree with some. The commentary is brisk and without explicatives. I visit KOS on a daily basis with the vow to leave when I run across the first s**** or F**** or similar. It usually takes less than 5 minutes to depart the site.
- amarna1370, on 05/20/2008, -3/+26LGF is a spot of truth in a mess of left-wing hysteria. Those who read it recognize the madness that traps the minds of the America and Israel haters. Like Churchill, Charles is warning of the oncoming Muslim and left-wing threat to freedom and democracy in the world.
- ShrNfr, on 05/20/2008, -2/+24Given that Charles does not make a money from LGF, it is hard to see how you can justify your "profit" motive. Yes, you can donate to him via paypal, etc. but unlike the MSM, he does not make a living at this. His exposure of some of the bogus reporting by the MSM has provided a valuable service to those who are interested in facts. I could wax sarcastic about your post, but I have long since learned that is useless to try and teach a pig to sing. It doesn't work and it annoys the pig.
- TheGrandMufti, on 05/20/2008, -4/+23WOW. Have the Diggbats seen the light?
- goforbroke, on 05/20/2008, -3/+22Keith is that you?
- antoniojvr, on 05/20/2008, -3/+20I love how irresponsible, immature people who don't agree with a point of view automatically lash out against it. We get it! You are a liberal and hate LGF.
I don't particularly agree with DailyKos, but I don't spend my time lashing out and making crybaby accusations against it.
But then, I'm a reader. - seksanbir, on 05/20/2008, -2/+19should we start calling them Neo-libs or Neo-Marxist?
- jinxmchue, on 05/20/2008, -1/+17Naw. It ain't Slobbermann. There's no frothing, spit-flinging vitriol against "Mr." Bush.
- Yashmak, on 05/20/2008, -2/+17"But then again I hate all profiteers of divisiveness, xenophobia, irrational paranoia, misinformation and basically anybody who knowingly makes the world a stupider place to live in for profit."
Sounds like you're talking about our identity politicking Democratic presidential hopefuls (heck, the whole DNC) to me. - BohicaTwentyTwo, on 05/20/2008, -3/+16Lighten up Frances.
- Soulcase, on 05/20/2008, -3/+16Pot, this is kettle. Be advised: you are black, over.
- Daisytoo, on 05/20/2008, -2/+13Frances does love Hamass. Frances also loves Hezzbollah. Frances really really loved Afafat and the PLO. What else is new?
- FritzKatz, on 05/20/2008, -2/+12A "Neo-con" is anyone who disagrees with folks like texnofobix and bullcutter
- seksanbir, on 05/20/2008, -2/+12and you are a Neo-lib or Neo-marxist?
- Zacktopia, on 05/20/2008, -2/+10What's a "Neo-con"?
- strictnein, on 05/20/2008, -2/+10Maybe because you're an idiot? It's not spam if someone who hates the site submits something showing an example of why they dislike it.
- jinxmchue, on 05/20/2008, -1/+9Got any examples, or are you just going to stick with baseless assertions?
- McJeff, on 05/20/2008, -0/+7In retrospect it would've been better not to bury. The comments are majorly in support of LGF, the submitter is getting ripped a new one, and 95% of the people who go to LGF will quickly realize that it's not a hate site.
The 5% that won't are the ones who consider quoting other people's hate speech to be defamation, I.E, dhimmis. - FritzKatz, on 05/20/2008, -1/+8Uhh? Did you actually read what GregLD said?
GregLD said: " I had voted against Bush and felt Iraq was a mistake." So how do you get from that to say he voted for Bush? - kpmailman, on 05/20/2008, -3/+9The poster must be reading a lefty site. 'little green bootfalls' An understandable mixup, of course. If he/she had actually ever been to LGF, he wouldn't embarrass himself by saying this crap.
- yiddishsteel, on 05/20/2008, -4/+10France loved Sadaam Hussien and the UN Oil-For-Food Scam too.
- chattymik, on 05/20/2008, -1/+5Having been a reader of lilgreenfootballs I have found them to only be reporting on news that is on the bloggs. they do not make their own news they just report other news. What is wrong with that. Also I thought it was the left that was anti-hate, I guess it doesn't apply to them but to those they "HATE". their opinions are ok but everyone else must submit to their definition of hate speech.
- dm60462, on 05/20/2008, -3/+7"...a stupider place to live..." Oh, man, the irony!
- aardvarkk, on 05/20/2008, -4/+7"LGF should be ashamed of themselves for capitalizing on such fearmongering *****."
Yeah, well Charles is rubber and you're glue. Neener. - camg188, on 05/20/2008, -1/+4Enough of blaming Bush.
Democrats control a majority of urban city governments.
Democrats control a majority of state legislatures.
Democrats control a majority of state govenorships.
Democrats control a majority of the US Congress.
Democrats control a majority of the US Senate.
How much of the government do the Democrats have to control before it's time to put up or shut up? - rthakidn, on 05/20/2008, -2/+4Charles, I'd love to know how you managed to infiltrate to posting process at DIGG. I had to check the address bar to make sure it was DIGG. I love it when we all get along.
- joeschmoetz, on 05/20/2008, -4/+5Bullcutter, being the disingenuious nutsack you are you should understand they hate you too, and for ample reason. But then again, you're probably an Obama Osama supporter and public school product, so we expect no better out of you.
- andrewmin, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1Actually, LGF has started work on Linux writing :-P
Who cares? I love reading both. - bullcutter, on 05/20/2008, -1/+1cmon, you should know by now i'm not just one of "those guys"
but i am taking Hamas out on a date next Sunday, and if I see LGF I'm totally ignoring them - myfreepress, on 05/20/2008, -4/+3GAZE
- bullcutter, on 05/20/2008, -3/+1hahaha... im not a lefty whatsoever, i'm just an avid fan of pointing out piles of *****, wherever they may land.
- bullcutter, on 05/20/2008, -4/+2possibly, but the only people reading this are the people who are coming from LGF or who have some stake in caring about LGF... and I don't think anybody who actually despised what they do would patronize them or buy crap from their ads. it was an interesting little excersize nevertheless
- hosanojo, on 05/20/2008, -19/+16LGF may be a bunch of amateurs (they tend to jump to unscientific conclusions from time to time) , but they're doing their best to sort out fact from fiction. Even though they don't have a clue what Christianity has done for the world, they're still a generally refreshing change from the whingeing losers of the left!
