- onyxcoltrane, on 08/15/2008, -5/+34McCain in May: "I led the Abramoff investigation. I saved the American people — excuse me, not only American people, but native Americans, millions — hundreds of millions — millions and millions of dollars."
Former Christian Coalition director Ralph Reed assisted Abramoff in overbilling Indian tribal clients out of millions of dollars. Yet on Monday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will be attending a fundraiser in Atlanta, which Reed is helping to organize. Reed “touted himself as a member of McCain’s ‘Victory 2008 Team’ in an e-mail that solicited donations on McCain’s behalf.” McCain has refused calls by ethics watchdog organizations to denounce Reed and cancel the fundraiser. - catherder702, on 08/16/2008, -8/+21Can anyone say "dirty politician"? Shame on McCain!
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -3/+13I saw this guy on Bill Moyers. He used a Christian Family group as a front to funnel millions of dollars from lobbyists into abramoff's and delay's wallets. The christian group was really for a good cause; instead, he bastardized the cause into a money windfall. if anyone has a link of bill moyers report, please post. It's around october it's a real eye-opener into the crookedness of politics. this ralph reed, abramoff, and tom delay are pure evil. And they got away with it. The charges Abramoff and Delay went to jail for are small potatoes to the "legal" ***** they pulled off. I'll look for this vid and try to post it. It's really an eye-opener and you'll be shocked that ralph reed is walking free and actually endorses mccain.
EDIT: found it. http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/08012008/watch.h ... you must watch this. every american who believes that we need a reprieve of the tyranny of big corporations and crooked politicians. - pinchduck, on 08/17/2008, -0/+6Because he wanted to make the front page of Digg again?
- NoDrama, on 08/16/2008, -5/+10Where's the McCain we thought was a maverick? Where's the McCain we respected? Can this really be the same man?
- ravenswing2, on 08/17/2008, -2/+6Why didn't he call Reed to testify? Because he was planning on running for president and knew he needed the jerk wads on the religious right if he was going to have a chance to win. Reed is now paying him back by pimping for donations. Duuuh.
- diggadigga, on 08/17/2008, -0/+3"I give John McCain credit for having exposed Jack Abramoff, when he held hearings in the Senate Committee on Native Americans. But he never called Ralph Reed. And our committee did a further investigation of the Abramoff contacts with the White House, and we found Ralph Reed an active participant in trying to influence the White House for Abramoff’s"
This was my reaction:

- gabellh, on 08/17/2008, -0/+2Exactly. You have uncovered a massive conspiracy. Perhaps a new Digg submission about this incredible revelation is in order?
- inactive, on 08/21/2008, -0/+1Reed is a snake and is a lobbyist for many many groups.
His association to this ONE ATLANTA fundraiser is the best that Obama can do?
OMG this actually is a reach and shows desperation.
It actually shows there is very little to go after Mccain with! - qdkk, on 08/18/2008, -0/+1The maverick was bought by the Repuglican Party. To their delight, the crappy pappy's McBrain was easily assimilated.
- inactive, on 08/21/2008, -0/+1So?
"Ralph reed was in the middle of it"
That's it?
And Mccain (among other Senators that were going after Jack Abramoff) didnt call Reed ?
Good god, Obama is going to need to do better than that. I know its a local Georgian thing, but even to them its a weak link. - Cilantro33309, on 08/18/2008, -0/+0The cats spots are showing....
