- fhornplayer, on 12/18/2007, -3/+19The fact that there is even an argument in the senate about whether the companies should be responsible for their actions or not is sickening.
- sotopheavy, on 12/18/2007, -2/+16Perhaps Dodd should read "The Constitution for Dummies" in front of everyone in the Senate.
- sunyung, on 12/18/2007, -3/+11Senator Dodd is a patriot. It is so sad that so many other Senators are not patriots, but only serve for the money and power, Senator Reid included.
- EllieElliott, on 12/18/2007, -3/+11A CALL TO ARMS!! This in-depth post includes phone and fax numbers so we can help muster support for Dodd in the Senate! Start contacting them right now

- iching, on 12/18/2007, -1/+7REID: FISA TABLED UNTIL AFTER HOLIDAY BREAK
News breaking now - iching, on 12/18/2007, -1/+6The bill is dead ......until January................YEAH!!!!!
- Napoleone, on 12/18/2007, -1/+6You need like a pop-up book for these dumbasses.
- Jareth86, on 12/18/2007, -2/+6Considering he's the only presidential candidate taking a true stand on something so important, its weird he's so low on the "digg the candidates" list. (gives him a dig)
- Bridea, on 12/18/2007, -4/+8When the filibuster starts this afternoon, watch it live here: http://www.digg.com/politics/Senator_Chris_Dodd_s_ ...
- vault, on 12/18/2007, -1/+4The Democrats voted for it too and were fully complicit, impotentdavefish. You're ignoring that on purpose.
- nickrct, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2Way to go Mr. Dodd...you make all of us in Connecticut proud.
- V0lk, on 12/18/2007, -2/+4Time to go punk rock on these politicians
- Izult, on 12/18/2007, -0/+2whoa.. "pro constitution"? WTF EVERYONE is supposed to be pro Constitution! what an idiotic thing for the news agency to say.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -3/+4Yeah, just lately those GOP tools started climbing into corporate pockets and twisting the rules to support blatantly partisan actions.
It's cute you can't see the difference.
Well, it would be cute if you couldn't vote.
Hey, I agree the Dems are barely superior to the GOP, but let's not pretend it's the same game.
Which Dems proposed wasting hundreds of billions murdering innocent brown people? - harrisbradley, on 12/18/2007, -3/+4Can you hear me now?!?!?
- jerryn, on 12/19/2007, -0/+1Ron Paul!!
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1I wish I had the money to buy you a ticket...no matter who wins. Leaving because you don't get your way? I wish you would leave anyway.
- clari0n, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1Precisely. I think this is a very important point to note. All of them took an oath to uphold the Constitution. Since when is it a hot button issue that you can be for or against?
- ed67, on 12/18/2007, -1/+2He can just read the constitution itself. It's a very simple document, doesn't take all that long to read. How many people have actually read it? Almost none I'd bet, and very few congress members. I would recommend doing a quick search and reading it online. This country is so far off base it's barely funny anymore.
- catfish182, on 12/18/2007, -2/+3no kidding.
It was a play on the fact that paulites say he is the only hope while Dodd is more of a man of the constitution.
way to pick up on that. - EllieElliott, on 12/18/2007, -1/+1The post has been updated since the delay.
- spyd3rweb, on 12/18/2007, -7/+7Will the real Ron Paul please stand up. Everyone else is just immitatin.
- bonhoeffer, on 12/18/2007, -1/+1"I don't have confidence in the President, I don't have confidence in the Vice President, and I don't have confidence in the Justice Department."
Posse Comitatus partisan speaking from his mid-west compound or U.S. Senator? Go figure. - danielsousa, on 12/18/2007, -4/+4Oh yeah, I forgot they are the ones that have been overstepping their constitutional authorities and undermining civil liberties
- AgentOmega, on 12/18/2007, -0/+0Who will stand with Chris Dodd? Ron Paul would.
- sassafras1232, on 12/18/2007, -0/+0Is it just me, or does the text copied here on digg under the title make it sound like Dodd is supporting the bill to shield the telecom companies? I read the headline, then the snippet of text and was confused enough to click the link and actually read the article. They really need the word "prevent" somewhere in that second sentence.
- aadyss, on 12/18/2007, -0/+0What?? Dodd is running for President. Sorry, had not heard.
- liberty09, on 12/19/2007, -0/+0I'm KNOW Ron Paul supports what Chris Dodd is doing but, cannot participate because Ron is in the House.
- aadyss, on 12/18/2007, -0/+0Indeed!!! Get your powderpuffs girls.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -4/+3Did you hear me defending the republicrats? They're the ones who abandoned their conservative base. They're no better than the demicans and about as loyal to the Constitution as the ACLU is.
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 12/18/2007, -3/+2Whatever, corporations are my friends compared to tools that sit idle their whole life using various forms of public dole as they age to make up the difference after they find money for cable, and/or cigarettes, and/or fast food, and/or alcohol.
Right now there is no difference. Both the major parties want me to come to work 3 days out of the week for the state, they just spend it different places. - inactive, on 12/18/2007, -4/+2Ahhh...more firedoglake spam.
- Vash3001, on 12/18/2007, -4/+2count me out
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -3/+1Stop spewin coffee you ***** spazz.
- blitzer, on 12/18/2007, -4/+3Jesus?
- bowens44, on 12/18/2007, -4/+1Ron Paul is a nut case.
- sadatoni, on 12/18/2007, -4/+1I don't see ANY of them actually defending and following the constitution.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -10/+5Quote from article; "... After considerable effort by Senator Dodd and several pro-constitution Democrats, Senator Reid ...."
BWAHAHAHAHA! Pro-Constitution Democrats! What an Oxymoron! I spewed coffee on my keyboard reading that one! MWUHAHAHAHAHA! FUNNY! Pro-Constitution! What a RIOT! - captaindigger, on 12/18/2007, -7/+2I truly love your Americans spirit. I then laugh, that you all still think, you have any say when it comes to anything, in your government.
- inactive, on 12/18/2007, -7/+37/11 = Inside Job 24 hours a week
- catfish182, on 12/18/2007, -9/+3screw that get ron paul.
Isnt he the real champion of the constitution?
come one paulites where is your guy now???? - inactive, on 12/18/2007, -8/+1I hope this guy doesnt get elected, otherwise im moving to new zealand. I cant take another republican in office.
- NonLeftistDiggr, on 12/18/2007, -9/+2Liberlas (and republicans lately) don't seem to give a rat's ass about the constitution when it comes to taking a large percentage of the people's money and spending it for them.
