- GargantuanVan, on 11/20/2008, -0/+2THis is a very dangerous article to have circulate. I too am happy that race was put aside for many white voters who cast their ballot without prejudice and chose instead to focus on Obama's qualities and potentional to change this country. Here is where the problem lies:
"Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.)? Shut up. ACORN? Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better dreams. To those Eurosnots who forged careers hating America? I'm still waiting for the first black French president."
Racism is not obliterated with a magic wand simply because a majority of white people chose to NOT be racist when deciding their pick in the 08 election. We still have a long way to go and the existence of an Obama does not ipso facto make the Congressional Black Caucus Irrelevant. - Grova, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1Exactly...this is circulating as an email. Did some checking and found out where it came from.
