- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+54Why does the White House hate our troops?
- bellow, on 10/10/2007, -1/+36So in effect, they are flipping the middle finger to the American Public. This is the Republican Party! If they have nothing to hide, why do they hide everything?
- WakeUpToFreedom, on 10/10/2007, -8/+26Are you kidding? They flipped us the middle finger years ago. It was called 9/11.
- kushed, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18Why can't the senate just order few soldier to go in and remove all the r-tards from the whitehouse, then putting them in a holding cell, so they can stay there as criminals till proven innocent. And schedule the next court date one year from now with no bail amount set.
- notque, on 10/10/2007, -4/+20Why do we continue to put up with it?
We are responsible for the terrorism the White House commits. It is our government. - Felekar, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17Is anyone at all surprised about this sort of thing anymore? It's clear that those responsible for this whole mess just don't care about the law anymore. Nor do they care about the American people, much less the world in general.
We need to remember that they are employees of the people of the United States, nothing more, and it's time to fire them all.
http://felekar.blogspot.com - gwalbridge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14It *could* be done, it's called a military coup d'etat. Plausible, but not probable (unfortunately).
- Timetheos, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Inherent contempt and impeachment
- mikelieman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10If the whole thing wasn't so disgustingly sad, there would be a Captain David Iglesias/Few Good Men joke here.
- notque, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10A useful story along the same lines, important
Vanity Fair reporter Katherine Eban unravels the central role of two CIA-contracted psychologists, James Elmer Mitchell and Bruce Jessen, in designing torture tactics for use on detainees held in secret CIA prisons around the world. Both worked in a classified military training program known as sere—for Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape—which trains soldiers to endure captivity in enemy hands. Mitchell and Jessen reverse-engineered the tactics inflicted on sere trainees for use on detainees in the global war on terror. The C.I.A. put them in charge of training interrogators in the brutal techniques, including "waterboarding," at its network of "black sites."

Digg it up, war crimes need to be heard. - notque, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10i am against hanging, and disagree with this comment, however I will agree that they have committed several war crimes.
- ahawks, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9So what do you call the first 60 seconds of the day? Noon and some seconds? There are indeed 00:00:00, and 12:00:00.
- halavais, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Jesus. What makes the right so oblivious to sarcasm and irony. In case you missed it, the suggestion was that since the current administration has thrown out the Constitution, along with habeus corpus (we detain people without any proof or trial, then torture them), why don't we do the same with the president and his staff. You know, shoe on the other foot and all.
And no, it's not funny when you have to explain it. That's the way humor works. - subat0mic, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9ok, so this begs the question
what kind of legal action can we (or spectre) take against the white house?
isn't spectre the one with the white cat? - notque, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2007/07/torture200707
The vanity fair article. - southernpatriot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Geesh, where to start on this ignorant, single sided post? First, my friends who posted above DO in fact own the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Furthermore, it is everyday Americans like them that are the ones who believe in it and abide by its precious words. It has been shown, proven, and demonstrated time and time again that the current ADMINISTRATION ignores these documents or, at the very least, bastardizes their content in order to circumvent the portions that are inconvenient to them. The only explanantion for your rant could be that you were looking into a mirror (or possibly a picture of W.) when you wrote your pathetic ramblings. One more thing- finish high school no matter when you dropped out, turn off the cable news channel, take a college government course and then lecture these people on the Communist party. Enjoy! (I'll go ahead and plug Dennis Kucinich 08!) Peace.
- theNazz, on 10/10/2007, -6/+12Hanging is too good for the Bush White House!

- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Would end up with all of congress being shot. So, everybody wins.
- hambend, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Why do you put up with it?
Because democracy has failed in America. Everything's made up and the votes don't matter. 87% of the nation's votes are counted on demonstrably hackable voting machines. And even if they did get counted accurately, it wouldn't matter. First-past-the-post voting systems like America's are guaranteed to land you with two parties who share almost identical policies.
Because the media has failed in America. The vast majority of its population no longer lives in the real world, but a world filtered and dictated by "news" channels which have more in common with the entertainment industry than real journalistic organizations. They are profit-driven, and given the "friends with benefits" relationship they have with government they have no interest in reporting on them harshly or in propagating civil unrest.
Because the law has failed. Over, and over, and over again, on every level. Prohibition laws have been used repeatedly for the last 100 years to persecute fringe groups. Private law enforcement allows those with money to target those without. The law is quickly turning to protect the government from the people, where once the opposite was true.
Because the lawmakers have failed. DC has become an absolute ***** of politicians, lawyers and lobbyists. Politicians are more concerned with getting votes than with running the country. Often they don't even read the legislation they vote for. More and more frequently, with the help of lobbyists they don't write them either. And most troubling of all, with free-rider legislation (or whatever you call it) slipped in at the end of larger bills, they don't vote on many laws which get passed.
Because the people have failed. They have forgotten that freedom is not a right, but a responsibility. We live in a world where power forms a vacuum, and if freedom is taken for granted it is taken away. Sometimes the price of liberty is death, and Americans are no longer willing to pay.
The Great Experiment has finally failed. America no longer exists. - DavidYeah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I could never get away with anything barely resembling what the white house has done. Imagine if it was suspected that I lied about stuff that was very damaging to the company. When my boss tries to investigate it, I just say "No." I make vague reference to stuff in my contract, and I just claim I don't have to listen to my boss. I'd get canned. My boss would never stand for me acting with some contempt towards her. Since we're the boss of our elected officials, and the white house is acting in contempt of us (through our representatives in the senate and congress), I see no reason for why they shouldn't be fired, and immediately. It's those damn "twenty-five-percenters" that are holding us back.
- addictist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor....
- LoveWidescreen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3"fails make"? Wow. That's a perversion of English I've not seen before.
- rabiddogma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Congress has a oversight roll to play. They have the power to investigate anything and everything the Administration does. The Administration is compelled by the Constitution to comply with anything congress decides to look into. Gonzales is clearly not telling the truth. He's changed his story several times during the course of this investigation. The President has no right to fire US Attorneys for political reasons or use the DOJ for political purposes. There is some evidence that this is what happened. Congress has a right and responsibility to look into it under the Constitution. And the White House has no right to try to obstruct that investigation. To obstruct (as they did by refusing to allow former members of the administration testify) they are setting a dangerous precedent for a President whose powers are not bound by law. So ask yourself this, if this President has the right to refuse any oversight by any body, and to not be bound by law, are you willing to extend that power to any President from here on out? ... Any Democrat, Independent, Libertarian? I'm not. Because a President not bound by law is a dictator, and we will no longer live in a democracy.
- LordSlashstab55, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2ya, the neo-cons have digg boted. They find people that are against the grain and immediately put an automatic digg down on you, and many others.
- spudhead, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I would have dugg this comment except I don't digg anything that uses retard, moonbat, libtard, etc. I just think 12 year olds should be playing outside.
- chrisk9, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5I thought it said SPECTRE (SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion).
Easy enough mistake -- both SPECTRE and current White House have goal of world domination. - LordSlashstab55, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2because the TRUTH can set you free.

Not to mention that there's still an ideal of innocent until proven guilty in this country, and all people deserve that, even Bush/Cheney/their lackeys.

- spudhead, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Slow down. You're not making any sense. Your name says editor, but your post says gibber jabber.
- rabiddogma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The fact is that you can't say any of that unless and until there has been an investigation into it. And thats the point.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2You're planing to hang a house?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Nothing, nothing and nothing.
Business as usual for congress. - vaughntrapp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1" It is unclear whether the administration is refusing the request outright or is simply tardy in delivering its response. "
That is some hilarious msm *****.... - jftitan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Sad thing is.... you are right
- TruthWillWin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thank God Arlen Specter is on the case! He invented "The magic bullet" theorie that explained how JFK was killed......
Like also Bruce Willis said: "The guys that killed Kernnedy are still in power" and that's very very obvious when you look into it!
for example: JFK II on google.video - ichbinladen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1For the same reason that little kids hide their feces stained underwear. They don't want to get in trouble for ***** themselves.

- quisp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1ahawks, I was just pointing out that 12 noon is neither AM nor PM. It is 12 Noon. 12:01 is PM. 12:00:01 is PM, but not 12 Noon.
Also, The day does not start at noon, but rather midnight. - DamnLogins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"If they have nothing to hide, why do they hide everything?"
I can see this phrase being repeated endlessly, and rightly, during the next election. - rabiddogma, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The fact is that congress can't find out if a crime has been committed because the WH is obstructing their investigation into the mater. There is some suggestion that the US Attorneys were fired because they failed to comply with requests that they investigate or prosecute political enemy's of the WH in an election year or possibly to call off investigations of political allies. Either way it would constitute a crime and a miscarriage of justice. The WH is obstructing the investigation into whether this is the case or not by ignoring subpoenas and not providing docs requested by congress.
- neddallen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Any one here Michael Savage last night. Here's what he was talking about (home address on Google Maps):
http://digg.com/politics/Michael_Savage_s_Home_Address_on_the_Water_on_Google_Maps_PIC - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1100,000 of us marching on the white house and saying enough of this ***** would get the ball rolling. 1,000,000 of us marching would change the course of history. Most don't get involved since they're heavily in debt and can't miss more than three days of work or would go under financially. Those same folks would be in much better shape if they didn't have 40% of their paychecks stolen via taxation. Step 1 would be eradication of the Federal Reserve and therefore eradication of the national debt. We the People would no longer owe one ***** penny to the foreign bankers who have taken over this country. Read "The Creature from Jekyll Island" to find out who owns this country. We would then restart this country with a completely clean slate. It can only get better from there. The process wouldn't be painless but the ultimate outcome would be worth the growing pains.
Change will never happen via voting. Change will only happen via action of people who care about their families and their freedoms and have decided enough is enough. Would it be hard? Just ask the FF how hard it was. Many never lived to see their dreams come to fruition. Their children/grandchildren were the beneficiaries of their dreams. They would be shocked to see we have allowed it to be stolen from us. They devised the Constitution to keep this from happening. As we grew fat, happy, apathetic and complacent, we allowed the Constitution to become nothing more than symbolic rather than the strict handcuffs on the federal government it was designed to be.
The FF refused to trade liberty for safety. That concept is foreign to 90% of the people today. Most would trade every liberty they have as long as they get to go home and watch their favorite show on TV and hide their head in the sand.
Where do you stand?
It looks like it will be up to the 10% who see what is happening to get this job done. Sites are currently being designed to allow us to converse and plan. America will be reborn or it will continue its path to eventual destruction. Choose your side. -
