White House Claims Al Qaeda May Target 2008 Elections

thinkprogress.org — The 2008 elections are still a year away, but this morning outgoing Homeland Security Adviser Frances Fragos Townsend told CNN that al Qaeda may target the presidential elections. She said that while there is currently no "specific information," "we know that Al Qaeda views these periods as being a particularly vulnerable period."

    Traditionally, al Qaeda has been quite happy to have anti-Iraq war candidate elected in other countries (such as Spain,) I doubt they'd ruin their chances of that now.

Now "we" (Truly the Saudis) are looking at an invasion to stop the flow of Iranian oil.
    Why stop at invading Iran and $200 a barrel oil, let's invade more of the Mid-East, get oil to $500 a barrel for Bush's Saudi friends.....
