there was a long peice about this today on msnbc
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20430153/
Now is not the time to call everything a conspiracy and bury our heads in the sand. We need to stand up to this corruption and fix it, it's the american thing to do. - KMye, on 10/10/2007, -1/+40Seriously JS, check your sources. Did you read the article? Here's the link to the Forbes article referenced on the blog: http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2007/08/24/ap4052736.html
(You dumb *****) - wreckosaurus, on 10/10/2007, -4/+39http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20430153/
There you go you dumb *****. - clear9, on 10/10/2007, -4/+35a true example of how "patriotic" this administration is - when they torture their own because of honesty
- thenet411, on 10/10/2007, -3/+23George Bush Jr. is by far the worst thing to happen to America since the Vietnam war.
- reqork, on 10/10/2007, -4/+23Stop being a ***** troll.
- LordSlashstab55, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20It's an important issue, I'll keep digging! It's only a click. Come on people.
I support this documentary.

- nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15Do you have proof it's inaccurate? If so, post links. Otheriwise shut the ***** up neocon shill.
- nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20430153/
Christ but you neos are stupid. - KMye, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16While this article is truly terrifying, I really do find a silver-lining in the fact that a major US publication still feels free and unfettered to publish something like this. While things under this administration have very quickly been getting very bad, there's still strength, intelligence, and resolve within our journalistic community, and within our populace. I'm not a partisan, but *****, we really need a Democrat in the Oval Office next round.
- Coven, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13B-b-b-b-b-but Clinton!
Jesus ***** Christ you are lost. - nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12did you not see the links to the MSNBC AND the Forbes article? ***** illiterate moron.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Do you have any sort of news story that substantiates your claim that this story is wrong?
Or are you just pissed that the right wing got caught torturing Americans? - Wacer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10The more you know how the Federal Government works, the more you realize that people do not take laws seriously in this country.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -11/+21What else can you expect from the world's greatest terrorists(United States Government)?
Intimidation is the only way to control people when you are doing the wrong thing, like going after the whistle-blowers.
The United States Government is of, and by the corporations.
United States Government are terrorists, war criminals, and horrific liars.
9-11 was an inside job! What happened to building 7?
Depleted uranium is a weapon of mass destruction! - WiseWeasel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Ooh, can I join in?
Boot licker! - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10What part of three controlled demolitions don't you understand?
Why the 30 hour power down the weekend before 9-11?
Why have Marvin Bush as head of security?
Silverstein said he pulled building 7, yet the United States Government lied.
Why were the rescue workers threatened about not speaking regarding 9-11?
Why was Cheney asked do the orders still stand?
Why were the traffic controllers tapes destroyed?
Why the huge molten pools of metal under 1,2, and building 7?
Why did Norad stand down?
How many times has the United States Government been caught lying?
How many time did the United States Government lie about Agent Orange?
You obviously have no answers, but only an agenda. - TruthWillWin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8bury-brigade idiots.. they are completely clueless, EVEN if the information came from a chinese sewer, IT DOESN'T MATTER YOU IDIOTS,
****** I S T H E I N F O R M A T I O N CO R R E C T******* is the ONLY thing that matters.
Only idiots focus on the messenger instead of the message !!!!
THIS is why te U.S. is in so much trouble::::::::::::::: CLUELESS IDIOTS WHO YOU CAN FOOL AND LIE TOO OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
god i hate idiots...... ( every dictators his wet dream..) - cygnus2112, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Something about the Donald Vance story stinks to high hell. He reports the corruption and illegal arms sales to the FBI, so he gets arrested, put in solitary confinement in a US base and interrogated? Interrogated for what?
- neckfire, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11What is wrong with you? We wouldn't be in Iraq if Bush didn't lie to connect 9/11 to Iraq. Clinton is a douche but not the reason we are in this quagmire.
- angusm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I really must remember to stop reading "leftist media" like Forbes Magazine. That audience of CEO's and corporate decision makers that it's aimed at? Red as a mandrill's ass, every last one of them.
- faskippy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Hey, you can't start telling people about what happened to the $8 billion that dissappeared, and not expect the ones who profited to get ticked off.
- gadgetuk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7You Spastic. Truth is truth, it doesn't matter who tells you about it. An inquiring mind will decide if the source of that information is reliable, but never discount it because you don't like the messenger.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6You lack of answers are showing!
The truth isn't on your side, and only the sheep don't get it.
You better hurry back to the TV where you can think you are right. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5actually, the 'american thing to do' is to wave the flag in public to drum up public support for war and opening the spigot of war funding, then engaging in sleazy and traitorous business deals in private to make a quick buck and suppressing anyone who would dare stop them, which is what the article addresses.
- TruthWillWin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6yea, what a completely clueless idiot.... He just repeats exactly what Bill Orally and Sean Vannity are saying, and the rest of the controlled corporate media puppets.
Much easier to deny then to CHECK THE FACTS YOURSELF - DeFex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4So the American way is making its way into Iraq, thats "good" right?
- krnldmp, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Way to go Ace. You really couldn't make a more nigerd statement if you tried for the rest of your life.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I assume you mean that you speak for all the brainwashed sheep like yourself.
I would get back to the TV, so you'll know what all of us think next. - dukeeeey, on 10/10/2007, -6/+9democrat = republican. They are the same, they have the same agendas. Everyone voted democrat last election because they were against the war. And what happened ? Instead of scaling back the war, they stepped it up a notch, and we got ***** in the ass. We need someone like Ron Paul to fix this mess. Frankly it doesn't matter what party he is affiliated to, he stands for freedom and our rights, unlike the rest which stand for their corporate sponsors.
- onewingedangel9, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5HAHAHA!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!! Oh man you're funny!
- smek2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2"it's the american thing to do." -- haha, yeah right. since when it is the "american way" to stop corruption? especially in the government? This ***** is going on for decades, only because the current administration sets a new low for being the most incompetent ever, you know about most of the *****. The war on Iraq (or Afghanistan, remember that one?) is a war crime, as was vietnam or korea. It's divide and rule, just like good ol Caesar. And a few rich bastards get richer. That stuff ain't knew, that ***** basically IS the american way.!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3It's hard to reach a brainwashed sheep.
When asked to answers questions, not a beep, and not a clue that they're sound asleep(mentally). - LucasKane, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2he who sues for the king, as well as for himself
- gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Then that need to change, and quickly. Our country and our way of life is in dangered not by a hand full of terrorist, but these treasonous men. They must be stopped at all cost.
- smek2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Spare your breath, it ain't worth for guys like Dusco
- krnldmp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The did for as long as they needed to.
- mikeyeah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This is just more PROOF that the bush administration is the most corrupt lot of scumbags in the history of our nation. Come on karma, get these ***** already.
If you are as sick of this crap as I am, join me on Sept. 15, 2007 to march in Washington, DC. - KMye, on 10/10/2007, -5/+7I completely agree that democrat=republican in most cases, but in this specific case, I feel like the corruption in Iraq is mainly tied to specific personalities within this administration. I want a democrat in office not because they're a democrat, just to break up this current situation. Whoever the mainstream presidential democratic candidate is, I hope Joe Biden in their VP running mate, as he's the only one with real foreign policy experience and the only one offering any kind of a real plan to extricate ourselves from this mess permanently.
BTW - Ron Paul doesn't have a real strategy to deal with this problem (other than dogmatic isolationism) and he has 0.1% chance of getting the nomination anyway. Please stop the comment spam (even when it's artfully subtle ;) ) - gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Ron Paul should consider changing his party affiliation. I hear good things about him but he's standing on the wrong platform.
- gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You might as well bring up what Harry Truman should have done; it's irrelevant. George has had two terms to ***** things up beyond all recognition and hope. Put down the koolade and save your self.
- drjay2003, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Read man READ. It's from the Associated Press. Here are some other links for you:
http://www.google.com/search?q=%22For+daring+to+report+illegal+arms+sales%2C+Navy+veteran+Donald+Vance - dws90, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I also find it rather odd that he reported it in Chicago, yet was thrown in a prison near Baghdad. That means he either mailed the information back, or went on leave, turned it over, then got shipped back out before he was arrested. Neither makes a lot of sense, to be honest.
I believe most of the stories in the article, and agree that it's a very bad thing. The lead story, however, has some rather glaring holes I wish they would fill in. - VitriolAndAngst, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Hey, if Democrat = Republican, why don't you sit out the next election while all of us Democrats vote.
yeah, I remember all the war profiteering and torture the Jimmy Carter supported too. Wow, he was so much like Bush. Yeah, no difference at all. Go back to sleep and let the bad guys mix with the good. - Plinkotic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I consider ron paul to have some good ideas, and also be ***** crazy. You don't need another theocrat in the white house who's gonna simply dismantle everything. You need someone who'll actually try and fix some things, and cut the corporate control of the government. That's the real issue: You know what you don't want, but where do you find someone who qualifies?
- cheesehead, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Didn't someone once refer to Reps and Dems as the Genovesis and Gambinis?
- BelXul, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2I consider Ron Paul to be more of a Libertarian, due in part to the fact his voting record is in line with that, and add to it he last ran for President in '88 as a Libertarian.
- cygnus2112, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2From this document: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19280236/ : "On or about April 15, 2006 you were detained by members of the Coalition Forces for being a suspect in supplying weapons and explosives to insurgent/criminal groups through your affiliation with the Shield Group Security Company (SGS) operating in Iraq. Credible evidence suggests that certain members of SGS are supplying weapons to insurgent groups in Iraq. Further, you are suspected of illegal receipt of stolen weapons and arms in Iraq from Coalition Forces."
- drjay2003, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I'll help you out. If you read the article it says, "which Vance fed to Chicago FBI agent Travis Carlisle for six months beginning in October 2005"
This does not mean he was personally IN Chicago at the time. This can be accomplished through a number of hi-tech modern devices such as fax, email, the postal service, or FTP even. -
