What Did Bill Clinton Do To Get $14.4M From Ron Burkle?

huffingtonpost.com — One big line item is missing from the Clinton tax return press summary: the $15 million paid to Bill Clinton between 2003 and 2007 by Ron Burkle's Yucaipa Global Opportunities Fund. In fact, the Burkle payments, buried deep in the income tax forms themselves, were the only real news in tax documents, which were made public for the first time.

    Thank you so much for pointing this out to me, adrock. I was going to vote for Obama because I liked some of his ideas but now that I see he is named the same as an anti-American terrorist I will vote for John McCain..... unless it turns out that his full name is John BIN LADEN McCain. That I simply will not tolerate. It would be too dangerous to elect someone with a name like that.
    The name thing IS important, but I think the American people should use an even more important qualification before choosing who to vote for: ask yourself "Who would I rather have a beer with?" The answer to this question determines if the person will be a good president, and thus I think it should be the Official Standard.

    To us the working class chumps, making 101 Million as a combined couple income the past 8 years looks like a huge chunk of change. But in the grand scheme of income on the global level it is chump change and nothing notable .

    Heck we have film stars that are paid 14-20 million to simply star in a single film.

    They really, truly are not the anti-christ. Obama knows it, he knows it well. He knows what an extraordinary leader Bill is, and he knows that Hillary has a deep running passion for helping change a country given how hard she tried with healthcare as a first lady when she never had to. People don't understand how ballsy and how bold she was for doing that.

    it's like obama getting railed for the Wright thing. i think it went WAY too far, and people completely disregarded the response he issued soon thereafter, but i dont blame the media for initially bringing up the issue to press a response. people have a right to now where a candidates real allegiances lie.

    i dont find this line of probing wrong, though i dont like how the questions remain in the spotlight in lieu of answers sometimes.
