- rightwingkiller, on 05/05/2008, -0/+3The idea of combating Global Warming fit too perfectly with modern liberalism's' position that government can control and conquer all things and that Man and his government could control even Nature if only the silly, ignorant people would just shut up and listen to their more enlightened Masters.
- inactive, on 05/06/2008, -0/+3This too shall pass, just like the killer bee and hole in the ozone crises did. I'll bet liberals are already working on a new disaster calculated to spread socialism and line their own pockets.
- Doofy, on 05/06/2008, -0/+2We are at the end of a warm period between ice ages. When the next ice age begins, anywhere from tomorrow to 1,000 years from now, then we'll really have something to worry about. Some of liberals favorite places (New York City, Vermont, Canada) will be gone. On the bright side, sea level will drop 300 feet and there will be plenty of new land to fight over for the next 100,000 years... until the ice melts and the sea takes it back again.
- lepster10101, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1I hate to break it to you but we are in the middle of an ice age. This warming is simply an interglacial period within the iceage. Soon there will be another glacial period and I would think this is the iceage you speak of. The iceage we are currently in the middle of started over 100,000 years ago. Several glacial and interglacial periods have already occurred.
- Jettparmer, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1More example of how science, like the earth, evolves. Sometimes at a pace not in concert with the agendists.
- govsucks, on 05/07/2008, -0/+1"In view of what is now at stake, such quasi-religious incantations masquerading as science are something we can no longer afford. We should get back to proper science before it is too late." Yes, please lets do. In the meantime, on the FRONT PAGE of digg this morning is this thread: "Note to climate change deniers: It's real, you idiots" Does anything surpass the blind arrogance of liberal environmental zealots?
- Wongeroo, on 05/07/2008, -2/+2Yes, global warming and the theory of evolution are vast left wing conspiracies to confuse men of sold commonsense. If only America-hating-leftists didn't have the daft to preach about potentially harmful human behaviors we could all focus on the real threat of global terrorism and kicking some Iraqi asses.
