- bmr0003, on 12/16/2007, -28/+260I hope more people digg this, because I really want all the people willing and able to donate to do so without too much load on ronpaul2008.com This real time tracker is a great way to keep up with the donations and watch history in the making!
- nuhrd, on 12/16/2007, -9/+161I've only been around for a few presidential campaigns but I'm pretty sure THIS is how its supposed to work.
- KireGoTI, on 12/16/2007, -6/+148As someone who is not really a part of the "internet generation," this just leaves me in awe.
I remember waiting half an hour to get online on dial-up in 1995, and then not being able to load any pages. Back then, TV carried hot news like elections and the O.J. Simpson trial.
When I see these numbers, it's just unbelievable. There have been signs before, but this changes the game in ways that I couldn't even imagine.
I hope you all realize, whether you support this candidate or not, that we're watching a historical milestone here. This is the sort of thing that will find its way into the books. - XxFinalexX, on 12/16/2007, -26/+151The rEVOLution is growing
The Blimp...
The 5th of November...
If Paul does well in Iowa he has a serious, tangible, chance of taking the nomination. - inactive, on 12/16/2007, -7/+120Look, if Ron Paul is a kook then leave the kook supporters alone. What's the danger? If he's not an issue then why post bitter comments? Why are you jealous that Ron Paul has created enthusiasm when the only thing your candidate can generate is sound bytes and the same old ideas? Go ahead and tell us this is a waste. We don't hear you. Most of us stopped listening to people like you long ago. It's ok though, we will still be here when you wake up as well. Come and join the fun.
- Minarchian, on 12/16/2007, -16/+126A very cool page...thanks for your work on it!
- macman2k, on 12/16/2007, -6/+100"I am a Ron Paul supporter. And I see a whole army of my countrymen, giving in defiance to tyranny! You have come to give as free men. And free men you are! What will you do without freedom? Will you give? "
"Ten million dollars against billions?" - the veterans shouted. "No! We will keep our money - and pay our bills"
"Give and you may go hungry. Save and you will eat, at least for a while. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all wealth from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our wealth, but they will never take our freedom!" - zweben, on 12/16/2007, -5/+87He just raised 20k in about 5 seconds.
- jstone, on 12/16/2007, -14/+94I don't support Ron Paul, but all of the Anti-Paul people need to stop spamming the Ron Paul threads. You're just as bad as the Paul fanboys are.
P.S: I'm a Liberal (I hope Obama or Kucinich get the Democrat nomination), but Ron Paul is the most traditionally conservative candidate out there, and therefore the most deserving of the Republican nomination. - demizer, on 12/16/2007, -8/+85I hope Ron Paul does become President and dissolves the Federal Reserve and returns this country to the people. I also hope that he doesn't get assassinated by covert CIA agents.
- Stryder81, on 12/16/2007, -9/+85LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED...12 AM HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOO
*PUNCHES WALL* - HigherLogic, on 12/16/2007, -6/+73I'll be donating tomorrow when I get up (Arizona here). My company donated $100 for me during the last money bomb and I was happy about that because I couldn't spare any, but this time around I will be personally donating $100 to the cause. It's not much, but it feels good knowing we collectively have the power to make some real change, but also sad that it requires money to even get noticed.
And yes, Ron Paul cured my apathy. I was really into politics about the time Bush took office and during the 2004 election, but since then, my apathy has grown tremendously. Until Ron Paul came along, I seriously gave up hope on anything ever getting accomplished. - borninda818, on 12/16/2007, -8/+67On Nov 5th this site was down about half the time, so I wouldn't count on it. Perhaps instead of constantly refreshing the whole site you could only refresh this picture: http://paulcash.slact.net/today-paulcash.png
- betterth, on 12/16/2007, -4/+57Oh shut up, if it were Ubuntu digg would also be salivating. Shut it and deal with the fact that democratic news has elected ron paul on to the god damn home page twice. Turn elections off in the ***** settings if you don't want to see.
But stop ***** bitching in every ***** thread. It's old, and much more annoying that a post you could have ***** ignored - saucedmike, on 12/16/2007, -5/+57I will be donating all that's left in my paypal account!
$5.28 - jmpeagle, on 12/16/2007, -7/+54go complain to kevin rose if you care so much
- shadekeiko, on 12/16/2007, -3/+48I'm a high school senior and donating my entire paycheck. This is going to be kickass.
- V3NOM, on 12/16/2007, -5/+50$50,000 in five minutes... not a bad start.
- AlexNC, on 12/16/2007, -1/+44I am 32 years old, and have never voted in my life. I have always felt hopeless since the candidates in the past never stood for anything. Ron Paul is the first 'politician' that has made me excited about the potential for this nation. I hope he continues to gather more and more support. I just sent in $50; again, the first time I have ever donated to any political affiliation. That says a lot.
- Stryder81, on 12/16/2007, -4/+47I'm going to say something to those who are against Ron Paul and their supporters. Let me tell you this...
This man opened so many eyes to so many things the public did not know or realize. He educated so many people that otherwise would be sheep for the rest of their lives.
Mark my words, If Ron Paul doesn't get it, There are a million more Ron Paul's that will spawn. I will be one of them. - Eywanadi, on 12/16/2007, -6/+47This website is great as well if you want to find out how much Paul is pulling in.
http://ronpaulgraphs.com/dec_16_vs_nov_5_donors.ht ...
It will show The 5th of November donations vs Tea Party donations. - guyinjapan, on 12/16/2007, -2/+42I have a feeling that is going be much, much bigger than November 5th.
Plus, graphs are fun, and I'm a Digg user and have nothing better to do with my time. *Refresh refresh refresh* - 0zzy, on 12/16/2007, -6/+45...
1) Ron Paul doesn't minority rights, he values individual rights for everyone.
2) He wants to return it to the state, he believes an unborn baby has rights
3) By getting rid of the inflation tax, he's bad for them?
4) Ya, getting rid of the Income Tax is horrible for the lower and middle class! (Wait, what?)
5) Ya, protecting private property and allowing state governments won't work! Let's get FEMA to regulate the environment! Rich people can pay out though, they can afford the carbon tax and all.
6) ...Getting out of the war, stopping war with Iran, no policing the world, ya that really hurts our image!
7) ...again, individual rights.
8) Actually, he doesn't. He has an unnatural obsession with the constitution, which protects the 2nd amendment as an individual right, not a collective one.
9) How so? 50 years ago the federal government got involved. Since then, education has gone to the craps. The federal government controls DC education 100% - DC education is the worst in the country, with 13k per student nonetheless. Ya, centralized planning works!
10) How so? He believes the local governments should make such decisions as prayer in school, nothing in the constitution says they cant do that. And if thats why your not voting for him, you are really not seeing the economic problems facing this nation. - jimmyjay, on 12/16/2007, -7/+44Awesome idea. Thank you.
- shiv68, on 12/16/2007, -8/+45
This is going to be great! History is going to be made tonight! - colto, on 12/16/2007, -12/+471. CrimsonFate does not know what he is talking about.
2. CrimsonFate clearly has not read Dr. Paul's stance on many of the issues above.
etc. - jcarrion1976, on 12/16/2007, -6/+40Looks like the pious "Christian" Hucksters are out in full farse.
- bousquetcm, on 12/16/2007, -3/+37Mr. Christopher Bousquet,
Thank you very much for your donation of $100.00 to the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign.
Your donation will allow us to expand and grow our campaign.
We depend on donors like you to help us spread the message of freedom, peace and prosperity through Ron Paul’s candidacy.
Thanks for being a part of the campaign!
I did my part! Everyone else - Step up and lets get this done! - V3n0M, on 12/16/2007, -11/+45Thanks for this! New bookmark! I'll be watching here tomorrow. :)
- Matt-lars, on 12/16/2007, -2/+35I made a typo and you pointed it out. Great job sport, lets go get some pizza.
- asforme, on 12/16/2007, -0/+32How do you fake a blimp?
- theOster, on 12/16/2007, -0/+30i see this as a "tipping point" election. just as the internet has broken up old-world strangleholds in the music industry, software industry, telco industry (etc) it will break the old-world 2 party system. maybe (prob) not in this election, but the following one should be quite a spectacle.
- ddufour, on 12/16/2007, -4/+34Honestly, I never really heard about Nov. 5 until afterward. I've been hearing about this like crazy for quite awhile. If that is any indication, tomorrow is going to be huge.
- SiNN4R, on 12/16/2007, -7/+36Word. I plan on donating around mid-day tomorrow.
- Matt-lars, on 12/16/2007, -3/+31Would you posting a comment every time there is a story on Ron Paul?
- ddufour, on 12/16/2007, -2/+29Dick Cheney shot a guy.
- Ftang, on 12/16/2007, -7/+34remember to donate!
- inactive, on 12/16/2007, -7/+34viva la revolution!!!
- smurf22, on 12/16/2007, -4/+30Besides the blimp?
- error10, on 12/16/2007, -0/+26Many people in the Republican Party, as opposed to the GOP party bosses, know full well that the war is too expensive, both in terms of money and human lives, and has gone on too long, and that our economy is going down the tubes, thanks to the current crop of, well, GOP party bosses. They know the party has lost its way. These people will be voting for Ron Paul.
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 12/16/2007, -0/+25How do you 'fake' a blimp?
- magoghm, on 12/16/2007, -6/+29Wonderful! Thanks!!
- kirstpo, on 12/16/2007, -3/+26None of those 10 comments are true. If you want to disagree and prove your point of view, then please at least use facts or sound opinions.
- morgino, on 12/16/2007, -3/+26Is it midnight yet?
- badassninja, on 12/16/2007, -0/+22If he does then the true revolution will take place. I for one will not take something like that sitting down.
- weaponR, on 12/16/2007, -0/+22yeah, i'm pretty sure a campaign is on fire when its donations are coming from people, and not from corporate pockets and shady enterprises.
-actually register republican, vote in the primaries, its what this campaign needs second to money!! - lebatte, on 12/16/2007, -49/+71If you want to help cut down on the traffic even more, you can donate to Ron Paul directly by sending your donations via paypal to my email address. GO RON PAUL WOOOOO!
- rusty075, on 12/16/2007, -0/+22Campaign contribution amounts have to be reported to the FEC.
Sure, they could lie about in the media, but the campaign's official filings would rat them out eventually. I seem to remember a story from the '04 primary race about some campaign doing just that, but can't recall the details now. - SiNN4R, on 12/16/2007, -2/+24Is that the horrible piece of legislation that would ultimately hurt small business owners by forcing them to spy on their customers?
- MillionsLivio, on 12/16/2007, -5/+25Shut the ***** up and go away, you are the troll, not us.
