Also race is an issue, I'm afraid that even if the insult is unintended it is very likely to be interpreted as such. That is not a danger with Bush. Now if someone put out a poster that said "McCain is an old white cracker" and put a KKK hood on him, then yes I would consider that racist (No I don't think McCain is racist - I think he's decent enough, just a bit too old and a bit too republican for me)
