- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -2/+35It's about time someone "investigated" BEFORE the vote took place! Is America really waking up? As my moniker suggests... I hope so!
- Minarchian, on 01/24/2008, -2/+31"The division of elections in Florida has a voter fraud hotline, 877-868-3737, where they can file a complaint of someone suspected of vote fraud."
I hope that sentence is put all over the place in Florida. - SheilaNoya, on 01/24/2008, -1/+26It's not so much "voter" fraud that we have a problem with. The BIG problem is with electronic voting machines that no one can trust and/or the companies hired to optically scan and count the votes.
- meanrabbit, on 01/24/2008, -3/+16The electronic voting machines are a very large problem, but don't let that take your eyes off other ways to throw an election, like preventing certain people from voting in the first place, and not counting absentee ballots. This is really what happened in 2000, and 2004 on top of Diebold bias
- swrostmore, on 01/24/2008, -1/+7This blog entry was written using a computer-generated algorithm designed to maximize the likelyhood of being dugg.
- MANYplaces84, on 01/24/2008, -3/+9It's a relief that someone is writing about something before it happens. Hindsight is 20/20, and it's beyond frustrating when people can see the truth about something and still not seem to care. Thank you for posting this! Dugg!
- swrostmore, on 01/24/2008, -2/+7Dugg. This is 100% accurate.
Nobody is changing votes. Preventing certain demographics from voting is simpler and leaves no trail of evidence. Just look at the claims flying out of the Nevada primary for a contemporary example. - sstidman, on 01/24/2008, -4/+7Paranoia aside, I think most of this "fraud" is in fact merely plain old incompetence. People are often stupider than you might think.
- greenm1981, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3It's not voter fraud that's going. It's election fraud.
- gameforge, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3Your candidate is a guy who thinks that Muslims want to kill us because we have lots of stuff and pretend freedom, and not because of our occupation of their land.
Obviously, you've learned nothing at all from Digg. Not that that's surprising... - spaceman77, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3Voting machine hacking is THE most important story of the year what with the U.S. elections coming up. It has to be exposed otherwise it's all a fake and americans are wasting their time.
See 'Hacking Democracy' on Google Video - OogSeattleite, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3Some of the most brilliant minds weren't adept at spelling or writing. - passiveinvestor, on 01/24/2008, -1/+4I agree, did those that DUGG read the whole article? Why does it say "It is the job of the U.S. Military to guarantee a Republican form of government." The last few lines seem to be from a Giuliani or Romney state of mind.
- WilliamDavis, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2My bank doesn't seem to have a problem counting.
- WilliamDavis, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2Deal with the institutional problems first. Yeah, maybe some New Yorkers vote in two states, but that only diverts attention from much more serious types of fraud.
- Ighuc, on 01/24/2008, -2/+4This is irrelevant, all the Floridans probably think Reagan is still running.
- VotingFraud, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2In other news, Rudy Giuliani is polling in 3rd place at Florida, a remarkable jump from other states.
- Thisiscjfool, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3Because this article is in support of Ron Paul or anything. Moron. You just love going out of your way to spew hate don't you? Do you have anything better than to just say negative *****?
- simplicityiskey, on 01/24/2008, -2/+4Pretty sad to think there are people willing to tamper with the voting system in this country, but considering our history--is it really a surprise?
- DRINKxREDxBULL, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2They will need to start with ACORN.
- dreepa, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2all the more reason why we should band together in one place.....
www.freestateproject.org - mtruth, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2Does this concern anyone other than me?
Clean elections are integral to a Republican form of government which is why the U.S. Military may get involved by utilizing the Provost Marshal, to restore the integrity of the National Election process. It is the job of the U.S. Military to guarantee a Republican form of government.
Who is in charge of the Military? The Commander and Chief. Who is the Commander and Chief? George Bush. Scared yet, advocating martial law. - Spoomeister, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2"The rampant voter fraud that has so far prevaded the Primary season is now extending to Florida"
In other news, the sky is blue, water is wet... - neocognitism, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3BRADBLOG.COM for the truth
- Ihatenicks, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3Why would he win any?
Your entire voting system is fixed. - greenm1981, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2"People are often stupider than you might think."
Too bad you can't take that one back, huh? - pinheadenator, on 01/24/2008, -3/+4Does this mean some candidates that dropped out may come back in if they find out that they had a chance in the race? Would that even be allowed?
- Ihatenicks, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1But the point is that the voting machines are being hacked by people working on behalf of the people who are in power in your country.
- neocognitism, on 01/24/2008, -6/+7Oh please! This conspiracy theory exists only in the minds of Thor Hearne and the GOP. The real fraud is with the DREs and optical scan machines being hacked. History has many many examples of tallies being manipulated, but NOT ONE SINGLE CASE of voter fraud.
I find it continually interesting that the GOP deny the possibility of machines such as the Diebolds being hacked, but insist voter fraud not only exists but is some sort of a systemic problem. Why wouldn't they want to go after both?
The truth is this is false propaganda meant to sway public opinion to accept all sorts of restrictions on registering and voting. Such restrictions affect the poor, the young, and the elderly disproportionately, the former two of which tend to vote overwhelmingly democratic. A classic and old disenfranchisement scheme, which is much more important for them to pull off now that public sentiment has turned away from the GOP, and they are in danger of suffering massive losses going forward. If you say "no way would the GOP engage in organized voter disenfranchisement," then I direct you to google Thor Hearne and voter caging lists. Voter caging was finally exposed last year and there is a bill by Holt under consideration now to make it illegal.
Sickening, immoral behavior on the part of the submitter, Thor Hearn, and the GOP strategists. - dixon, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1"stupider"
- Hangly, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Repeating a lie it doesn't make it true.
- Hangly, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Ah, the Hanlon fallacy!
- Ihatenicks, on 01/24/2008, -2/+3In an important topic like this, all you have to contribute is a spelling mistake??? ...
Why bother posting? - inactive, on 01/24/2008, -2/+3Yeah it was complete and utter ***** that Gore tried to get absentee ballots cast by our servicemen overseas trashed. What a fat-faced dick.
- gameforge, on 01/24/2008, -1/+2Wait - the computer generated the ALGORITHM?
I must have this software... gosh, what will Don Knuth say? - Ihatenicks, on 01/24/2008, -1/+2Are you serious?
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1I have a great idea, we can make it look like we did something without exposing the real counting fraud, AND put more people in jail for our buddies in the the jail industry! its win win!
- alfsborg, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1REMEMBER TO RE-ELECT NO POLITICIANS. POLITICIANS LIKE DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED REGULARLY AND OFTEN TIME FOR THE SAME REASON.
Go to: http://www.blackboxvoting.org/. Diebold is full of crooks and felons. - Ihatenicks, on 01/27/2008, -0/+1Yep it full of those things.. but is aslo full of the scared, the empty headed, the rednecked and unreasoningly BLIND...
To deny such evidence in the face of everything that's happening under you very nose AND IS BEING REPORTED TO YOU ON A DAILY BASIS, is criminally ignorant and morally, socially and ethically dangerous. Whereas, WE only see an occasional enemy who hasn't come after us YET!!
.................Which is worse? - Thisiscjfool, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1I don't see anywhere in that person's comment that they support Ron Paul. Maybe they support McCain, or Kucinich. Once again, no one is staving off reality. People support who they want to because they like the candidates ideas and beliefs, not whether or not they have a chance of winning. For once, why don't you hate on all the Kucinich supporters, or the Gravel supporters, or even the Edwards supporters? The only difference between any other supporter and a Ron Paul supporter is that Ron Paul supporters are noticeably more vocal about their support. My god you are an ignorant, opinionated *****. Any comment without a connotation is automatically something that you don't like isn't it, and you can twist it so you can spew your dislike of Dr. Paul. You lead such a meaningful existence.
- rockefeller2, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Looks like I've been a victim of voter fraud. I submitted an application in December to change my party affiliation. I wanted to change it from NPA to Republican so I could vote for RP. I got my card in the mail and I'm still registered as NPA. WTF!!!!!!
- m8ymerc1, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1The voter fraud penalties in FL are not well written or they maybe perfectly written depending on who your candidate of choice is and who the so called leaders are in place.
It clearly states that A person who commits or attempts to commit any fraud in connection with voting, votes a fraudulent ballot, or votes more than once in an election "CAN" be convicted of a felony of the third degree and fined up to $5,000 and/or imprisoned for up to 5 years.”A person who commits or attempts to commit any fraud in connection with voting, votes a fraudulent ballot, or votes more than once in an election "CAN" be convicted of a felony of the third degree and fined up to $5,000 and/or imprisoned for up to 5 years.”
Note that it says "CAN" be. It is not mandatory at all.
If you are committing voter fraud such as the case with Bush election in previous years. You won't be seeing any of these penalties ( I bet). If you commit them for say someone like RP (prepare to prolly get the max). No one will really be held accountable because their is no accountability in place - Dantetheinferno, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Just ignore bingobongony, if you look at his profile, he's a TOTAL troll.
- shotsy5, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1All in one place, makes it easier to surround/pen us. Not too good an idea, perhaps.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Your assuption applys to only theminority of idiots who don't see this issue in full. But don't you EVER rant off calling everybody in this country stupid, if you were smart enough to understand the daft tatics and resources avalible to the few American traitors occuping this place, you would understand the difficulty THE REST OF US have!
Here's a good question, what country are you from!................ - SheilaNoya, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1Hillary doesn't need to mess with voter fraud. The Republicans WANT her to be the GOP nominee because they think she is the easiest one to beat in the General Election. The Republicans will already be rigging the votes in her favor without her doing anything wrong.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1So you (the world) can that America has its ***** together and is openly honest about things like Vote rigging, fraud, fudged elections, biased media and doing a smashing job of not ignoring those things that are important like, honesty, freedom of choice, free speech, innocence until proven and, as you know, would never torture, rape a country for imperial gains, be pro abortion but at the same time, pro death penalty, and so on....yep, Totally together....ALL FOR ONE>..and I think they forgot the rest....
- spaceman77, on 02/07/2008, -0/+1Well said CyphreDias.
- swrostmore, on 01/24/2008, -1/+1I think its just a reference to the fact that we live in a Democratic Republic, otherwise the sentence about "clean elections being the key" would be extremely ironic.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -1/+1Yeah...it is clear what the intent of this submission was. PAthetic losers like you who need to come up with your excuses 6 days early.
