- remove, on 10/12/2007, -5/+105Do you not understand what this GSA controversy is about? It's about Karl Rove and his associates using tax-payer money/resources/government personnel to help Republicans target Democrats in Senate and Congressional races in 2008. Totally inappropriate and totally illegal.
How would you feel if this was a Democratic Administration and Democrats were using your tax money to try and topple Republican Senators? - shawnfassett, on 10/12/2007, -4/+66Conservatives have a truth problem.
- DJShay, on 10/12/2007, -3/+40It seems that every move they make, every bill created is to help the Republican party in some way. Screw what's best for America. The question they ask is what's best for Republicans.

Neocon Rule #1- Complain loudly to anyone and everyone that the opposition is ____(insert offense here)_______ and that it's unfair/unethical/dishonest/etc. despite having done it on a much larger scale for much, much longer.
Ironic since the Democrats were simply following Neocon Rule #2: Proclaim a noble and admirable goal or policy loudly and to anyone and everyone that will listen then completely ignore such pledge behind the scenes hoping no one will notice. Rinse, repeat.
Just makes me echo what @remove said above: for the 'publicans who can't see what the big deal is; would you feel the same way if it was a Democratic administration? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37wtf.. geez are you... oh god i dont even have the patience for this kind of responce
the right, the left, the whole false paradigm is all part of the problem your so brainwashed your willing to excuse to evil of the 'right' because the left is corrupt to? are you that STUPID???
"this guy shot me in the arm, but the guy who claims to hate him also shot me in the other arm, so its ok..?????"
the left and the right, reps and dems are both pedals on the american bicycle, and they are going to keep riding us cause people like you are too stupid to realize they are being ***** from both sides and are willing to excuse 1 side cause you THINK YOU ARE PART OF THE OTHER, YOUR NOT
you dont benefit from the injustices from either side, your screwed by BOTH? why do you excuse EITHER?
.... i guess i shouldnt totally lose it, so many people across the country are wising up to this ***** everyday..
its just so annoying to see people like you, so stupid, so lost, so hopelessly brainwashed that your willing to let then get away with it cause you think your one of them.. - dishonest, on 10/12/2007, -7/+38Sweet. So the "he did it too" defense is the new rule. Awesome.
Thanks man.
Moral relativism: 1, Objective morality: 0. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27Is the Democrats fault yet? I just got here.
- niradg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+23Wow. It seems like everyday there is irrefutable evidence of even more corruption in the whitehouse.

You forgot one...
4) Profit!
Seriously though...it seems like the adminstration has had an outbreak of Alzheimer's. - pinab, on 10/12/2007, -5/+21There's Rove's problem, he should be using OpenOffice Impress.

"B-B-But the democrats." Non-sequitur--even if stuffing the house (Dems and republicans btw) spending bill with enough pork to choke an elephant WERE WRONG (which in this case it isn't), that does not forgive the fact that a law is being broken. They're crooks. Can't stop the truth. Quit whining.
Paraphrasing Sir Charles Barkley before the '92 olymipcs, "They need to just take their asswoopin' and go home." - nblsavage, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18@theslowrider, awwww...you poor, poor abused neo-cons...I'd feel sorry for you if I gave a *****.
- epistemological, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17How is Digg limiting any Republican freedom of speech? To my knowledge and correct me if im wrong anyone can submit a story, digg a story, and bury stories...
- geronimo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16I was waiting for the "but but they did it too" defense but I didn't have to wait long, it was the first post.
Bravo. - downlo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Holy *****! Digg has a political views analyzer that removes the comments form for neo cons!?
Where is my tinfoil hat? - stepnw1f, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16Hahahaha.... he is a criminal, not a genius. He works outside the rule of law, which fools most who don't. That makes him dishonest and immoral since what he does has so much influence on the lives of tax paying citizens. The fact you don't know the difference is pretty sad..... and telling. Geobells was considered smart too......LOL!
- farksucksmasack, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14for the con-tards here, lets review THE LAW.
Hatch Act for Federal Employees
The Hatch Act restricts the political activity of executive branch employees of the federal government, District of Columbia government and some state and local employees who work in connection with federally funded programs.
These federal and D.C. employees may not-
- use official authority or influence to interfere with an election
- solicit or discourage political activity of anyone with business before their agency
- solicit or receive political contributions (may be done in certain limited situations by federal labor or other employee organizations)
- be candidates for public office in partisan elections
- engage in political activity while:
- - - - - on duty
- - - - - in a government office
- - - - - wearing an official uniform
- - - - - using a government vehicle
- - - - - wear partisan political buttons on duty
And don't let me hear any ***** excuse about "it was a lunch break! it was a team building exercises!!!" This presentation was done at 9 am and was INSIDE THE GSA (a federal building for those who might have missed the point) therefore, STILL ILLEGAL. There is ZERO question about the legality of this. This woman and the white house BROKE THE LAW. This is WITHOUT QUESTION. And if some OTHER politician did something similar, then guess what? THEY BROKE THE LAW TOO. - farksucksmasack, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12@tkstock - yeah, they photoshopped that CSPAN video of the hearings. are you retarded or something?
- mpstaton, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13As a Conservative, I want to say that I have nothing to do with the Republican Party. I believe in policies related to markets and freedom, and the only policies I've seen from this administration is a bully approach to keeping Republicans in office and the US as the dominant world power. I don't agree with either of those. As a conservative American, I abhor politics but especially Republicans. Thomas Jefferson would start a Revolution, and Abraham Lincoln would start a Civil War, and Teddy Roosevelt would have everyone who's ever worked in the White House prosecuted. (Note, Roosevelt's behavior was actually quite morally dubious.)
- lodgerdigg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11This video is hard to watch, cause it's so frustrating
Every time this person goes to answer a question, you can tell she's trying to answer convincingly, but the fact that she shuffles, looks down, clears her throat... systematically lying each time right through her Washington, D.C.-paid-for-teeth.
I hope they fire her ass - crestfall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11is that her conscience stuck in her throat at the end of the video?
- peritonlogon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10planning election strategy WITH TAXPAYER DOLLARS, which, in this case is against the law.
- SOULEVENT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9too bad a Republican isnt getting blown in the oval office, I really wanna see Dick debate the meaning of the word IS...and yes, I said Dick not George...only the BOSS gets blown in the oval office!!!
people who use the "liberal media" term as an end all and a defense to this presidents crimes are a disgrace to this nation...The liberal media isnt the culprit...if your president and his cronies werent criminals they wouldnt have to report on his BS...kinda like if Bill Clinton didnt put his weiner in Monicas mouth FoxNews may have never gotten a boner. - Augie1969, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10And a memory problem as well, apparently.
Ollie North would be proud of her. - nickfromdc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9@tkstock
There is a big difference between remembering every little detail about what you did two months ago and remembering THAT you did something. A quick scan through a date planner or some other notes should jog your memory. During her entire testimony, she is pretending to not know anything about the presentation at all, that it even existed, or that she was even there. I'll grant that she may not be part of the underlying plan, but she is certainly accountable for what she said ("How can we use GSA to help our candidates in the next election?"), regardless if she "has any recollection".
Furthermore, she's not just "a yokel form GSA"; she runs the GSA. Her attendance and her participation makes her responsible for this. To be honest, it seems like shes either scared of getting into some serious trouble or trying to protect someone at the White House. Either way, she's doing a very poor job of it.
I don't think she'll be fired; she's going to find a sudden need to "spend more time with her family." - stepnw1f, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9They have been having it for sometime and I think people across party lines are getting really pissed off, as they should be. America first..... party last!
- glasnostic, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7why is there an ad for a big blue vagina on my screen?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+15Washington has a truth problem. Defending any of them is intellectually dishonest.
We'd be in better shape if we rolled out the guillotine. - ,,|,_, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6She's not a political adviser you idiot, she's the head of the General Services Administration, which is the administration in charge of procurement for all branches of government. A tax payer funded institution being used for political gain. As so many others have said: How would you feel if a Democratic executive branch used tax payer dollars to remove republican congressmen from office?
- Osjpr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6What a lying bitch. I think everything sitting around her was thinking exactly the same thing about this farce
- macfanboi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6"I don't recall" "I don't remember" "I don't know" Standard fair for the GOP
- azAZ09, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It must be one of those context sensitive advertisement placement scripts, detecting all of the conservative LGF pussies in this forum, and placing an ad accordingly.
- sittered, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I'm betting Rove used text zoom effects on every single slide.
- SOULEVENT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6bahahah, i dont think the Bushies get it...the the world, and the majority of their country, and even the people who were in there party (that finally found a conscience) know that they are criminals. Defending this administration is utterly fanatical...that is of course, you worship the devil or if your a terrorist...then defend Bush till your thrown into the lake of fire.
For those of you, who cannot appreciate my religious, half-witted comment...Your "leader" is an Evangelist, do you know what he has most faith in? Read Revelations...he is alllll about Doomsday...you know, he said he believes God appointed him for what hes doing? So ask yourself this...is he a man of peace or a man of deceit, lies, corruption...and using religion to get what he wants...
Noone is trying to convert you, but you aught to know what the hell your fanatic President believes in...and who the people that put him in power worship. Whether you believe in Heaven or Hell...all the ***** hes done to this country is just plain evil!!! - Scottamus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5"How is this any different than the liberal congress using the House of Representatives for political gain? "
Yea, like when the liberal hippy House of Representatives made a huge ***** deal about Terry Shiavo instead of doing their ***** jobs. I mean congressmen were up there saying that in their medical opinion she could communicate and was lucid. These a-holes are congressmen not doctors. They made specific laws just for Terry as if they didn't have anything better to do than dick with non federal issues taken on for political gain. WTF?
Oh, wait.... that was the conservative congress. - Loonacy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6I cried every time she said "I honestly have no recollection of... "
She didn't even remember what she herself said at the end of that "team-building exercise."
I think I'm going to use that defense if I ever go on trial for murder. "I honestly don't recall stabbing that man 17 times in the head, your honor. I also don't recall how 6 bullets got in his chest. And I don't recall buying that poison, or putting it in his tea. I'm a target here!" - stepnw1f, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Guess what though? Since they work all for us, we are their balls and we are the ones that are supposed to tell them what we want to them to do, so that way, they aren't politically depending on Congress itself and aren't totally frightened by what the media will say about them. The people need to take back government and that means now more than ever, we have to pressure them. That's a reality that has always existed in America. We are the government. We decide and vote for what we want and if we don't hound congress we should not expect much in return. A participatory Democracy means more than just voting.....
- azAZ09, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5No, of course not. Republicans have no consciences.
- crestfall, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6@slowrider-
Do you own a pick-up truck?
If so, has the bed ever been used?
Also, how big are the tires? - PantherX, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I was just wondering the same thing.
- fatfinger, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4At least she remembers the cookies!
http://digg.com/political_opinion/VIDEO_GSA_Doan_Has_A_Horrible_Memory_Except_About_Cookies - PantherX, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6The words 'security' and 'PowerPoint' in the same sentence are funny.
- peritonlogon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5I'm glad that the Dems are finally growing some balls.
I'm a little disappointed that it's literally over politics. Certainly these new scandals are important and ought to be resolved. But I would be much happier if issues the Dems first picked didn't directly effect their power struggle but did, rather, effect what Americans really care about (ie, the War on Iraqis) - stepnw1f, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5You call illegal activities like politicizing the justice system to go after political opponents, just an election strategy and then yawn.........? You are being sarcastic right?
- farksucksmasack, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5@tkstock
sorry pal. i will read well thought out commentary from conservatives, but con-tards like you...not so much.
*plonk* - wonderworm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4What a lying BITCH! She needs to be fired and then brought up on charges then sued for damages by the US taxpayer.
- stepnw1f, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Click on it and find out. Don't worry, you are protected from any STD's, except for computer viruses.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Thanks moron.
I guess you STILL haven't been able to remember all the GOP pork over the last 6 years. Selective memory seems to be very common amongst the Bushies.
Do you work hard to be this ignorant of the facts? -
