- txchica, on 12/28/2007, -1/+1Again, you guys are picking and choosing parts to make it look like Huckabee supports the "kids in the closet" theory, when he only attended the basic courses, a little honesty goes a long way. The reason no one here wants to debate the issue is because you're giving us biased sources, usually from sites that specifically bash Huckabee and when I read the articles there's no real 'proof' just more speculation and cherry picking of the facts. You're also the guys who believe a degree in religion isn't a theology degree.....that says a lot in itself as theology is the study of religion. But let's not get caught up in the language but the meaning, we 'crazy Christians' like to view actual facts and not supposition. When you get around to actually wanting true dialogue and not just a chance to bash our guy then you may find you get more response to your posts.

- txchica, on 12/28/2007, -2/+2Cute video. Do you Ron Paul supporters truly have nothing better to do than come to pro Huckabee sites and post negative comments? Why not just try to support your guy and leave us to support ours. And I just love how you give us links to sites that are bashing Huckabee, I might be impressed if you found some sites that were neutral and not pushing an agenda, but haven't seen any so far.
- GhostyBoy, on 12/28/2007, -2/+2Wow, that video is terrible and embarrassing. It pretty much just proved that Huckabee is a tool.
- Darel99, on 12/28/2007, -2/+2Hey V3n0M,
Great post... I know we both support Ron Paul and I respect your views but I want you to know I have no idea what faith you support but this story gives the real chrsitans of this world a bad name. I must say Hucks support this program is just sick. Anyone who loves the Christian faith would not support this action at all. I'm sure all the Huck supportes will deny this article but it shoudl give them something to think about before there vote. What I don't understand is why none of hte Huck supporters will even debate the issues on digg or look at the info. Some have posted they don't want to even visit our proof and I just don't understand that at all. Thats why i call this brand of Christians "Crazy Christians" because the bible teaches us to warn the people and to gain wisdom and discrenment and no where does it say ignore facts. Simply amazing..... Anyway thanks for the link. I have a new one that I wll post below. - Darel99, on 12/28/2007, -3/+2Iowa's Republicans Reject Hucakbee Immigration Plan 6 to 1!

I hope they don't end up in one of the Bill Gothard's programs that Mike Huckabee supports! Did you know he actually wrote a letter of recommendation about a program that locks children in closets?!
"According to the website of Gothard’s Institute in Basic Life Principles, the governor jumped in with both feet:
Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas stated, “As a person who has actually been through the Basic Seminar, I am confident that these are some of the best programs available for instilling character into the lives of people.”
A 2002 New Times expose describes how Gothard’s program instilled character into the lives of young people in Indianapolis:
Inside a converted 300-room hotel, the prayer closet is a little room where kids are taken when they disobey staff at the Indianapolis Training Center (ITC). Once locked inside, the misbehaving youths are forced to sit and pray to Jesus, sometimes for days at a time. Some juvenile ITC residents have said the evangelical Christian teens and young adults who staffed the center sometimes forbade them from going to the bathroom, forcing them to sit in their own urine for hours. Some have complained of beatings with paddles by untrained staff that left bruises and welts."
