- flernk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Wait a minute, did I just see that?
Is it just me, or did President Bush just look like a kid who got caught stealing? I hate to be too optimistic (especially when it comes to this administration), but, wow, I think he's f***ed and I think he knows it. Kudos to Kelly O'Donnell of NBC for pressing the question. - tearor, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10WOoHoo, he's gotta go down now. Even teflon burns when the fire gets ti hot!!
- quakerorts, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9"...enemy lurking... protect 'merica... important program..."
That's not what she asked *****! Answer the question! Let me reword it more simple terms: Did you send 2 of your guys to a doped up man in a hospital to try and get him sign off on a program that he thought was illegal? Yes or no. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5And yet again - silence from Digg's Neocon contingent. I'd like to think they were shamed into silence but I imaging they are frantically thinking of how to spin this.
- AndyO3000, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Watch the weasel squirm!! And duck! And dodge the question!
He can't say "No, I didn't send my Chief of Staff and Consel to Mr Ashcroft's bedside to seek a signature from a heavily man sedated man who had turned his authority over to his deputy."
At this point, Bush is not capable of speaking truth. - jthomp3120, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Ashcroft was going to protect our civil libertys, but he got drugged?
- mikelieman, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Doesn't ANYONE have the ***** balls to say, "YOU DIDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION, ALLOW ME TO REPEAT IT"...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+488 # I’ve watched CNN. Watergate was a sideshow compared with this. Boy, how the mighty are falling. My tag DeadManWalking needs revising to DeadMENWalking. The Wolf may have resigned before I get to change it. Who’s next? Once they start falling, they’ll be queuing up to confess their version of history. Cowboy country. Remember banana republic? Well…So long as you are not exporting your style democracy elsewhere. We are doing fine over here in Ireland, thank you.
Comment by Robert from Ireland — May 17, 2007 @ 1:41 pm - schroeder, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4The point is that he can't lie because he might get caught. The fact that he is blatantly avoiding such a simple question as whether or not he sent them and if he thinks it was a ethical decision shows guilt as much as if he had lied about it and was found out. He's obviously waiting till they figure a way for him to weasel out of the situation before he says anything. If he didn't send them there would be no reason not to answer.
- mikeman10001, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Fear mongering piece of *****.
- shootdashit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3where's the funny joke you usually insert to divert the tough question Bush? that at least makes me laugh when you receive these questions.
- dshPls, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2It's ridiculous our president dodges questions like a ***** used car Salesman... I'm astounded people like Hannity would agree with his statement and go so far as to say he's doing a good job.
- quakerorts, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1They're silently burying this to keep it off the front page, and hoping it will go away. Can't you just wait for Bush's memoirs to be published? It will be filed under Fiction by all self-respecting librarians.
- thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -3/+3I did not have sexual relations with that woman....
Hrrrmmm... if only Clinton had taken Bush's tract and not answered possibly damaging questions instead of lying about it.....
And no, this is not a "bu... but Clinton". I'm just pointing out how much a REAL lie can damage a president. - thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -6/+2Ohhhh.... The president didn't want to answer a question.....
