"I don't like the Hussein thing. I've had enough of Hussein." - gulpy, on 05/16/2008, -6/+196Anyone have a feeling that the 11 year old boy she mentioned in her speech is fake?
- ScienceDoc, on 05/16/2008, -17/+175WV is an embarrassment to most of the rest of the US. Those are genuine Bush 'mericans.
- toasty168, on 05/16/2008, -4/+145West Virginians are the reason why Nigerian scammers can make a living.
- cjnkns, on 05/16/2008, -8/+146It is really hard to believe that people will vote or not vote for someone because of skin color.
It just ***** astounds me how absolutely retarded people are. - gulpy, on 05/16/2008, -9/+108Yep, that's what the people in the video said alright!
- GoMegaMan426, on 05/16/2008, -12/+107Me and my Girlfriend saw this last night and we both gasped in horror at this piece. How sad it is to be misinformed and uneducated.
- iamtehwinnerz, on 05/16/2008, -2/+85He actually did sell his bike and video games. And may I quote John on this, I hope that kid has fun walking to school and back home so he can't play video games and instead watch Hillary on TV blow off the $440 he donated to her on confetti.
- Beowulf2112, on 05/16/2008, -1/+84I live in WV, they had some guy on the local news saying "Im not racist, but Im not voting for him because hes a colored"
I can't wait to move out of this ***** - iamtehwinnerz, on 05/16/2008, -2/+74and so are his writers. Props to all of them.
- bbatsell, on 05/16/2008, -1/+71Her phrasing was rather strange – not to mention that if true as presented, she violated federal law by accepting his donation. You may only accept donations to a federal campaign from individuals 16 or older.
- iamtehwinnerz, on 05/16/2008, -12/+73How sad it is to pretend you have a girlfriend.
- preneel, on 05/16/2008, -19/+78I saw this. It's hilarious!
- iamtehwinnerz, on 05/16/2008, -2/+55don't forget this "He's a muslim, and that has a lot to do with it." He's not, and even if he was, it shouldn't make a difference.
- CompIsMyRx, on 05/16/2008, -5/+55Ahh, inbreeding.
- n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 05/16/2008, -2/+46The interviews were just jaw-dropping, i knew that they were misinformed in W.V but i didn't know that it was that bad.
- fuhlavaflave, on 05/16/2008, -1/+41Small majority, eh? Care to explain what that means?
- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -10/+47Notice he said "Girlfriend". That's the name brand of his inflatable doll.
- inactive, on 05/16/2008, -10/+45She took a little boy's bike and video games. Soon she'll be coming after your guns and bibles. If Hillary Clinton isn't the anti-christ, she blows him before dinner.

It's 1:40 in - iamtehwinnerz, on 05/16/2008, -19/+51I really think there should be a basic IQ test given before giving someone a ballot. Especially since so many people in November will blindly vote Republican or Democrat without even knowing the candidate's stances. How do you think Bush got elected?
- sovereign3, on 05/16/2008, -4/+36I truly hope that these individuals are just anomalies and they were used because they much such asinine comments. Sadly, I'm afraid they were representative of a small majority of voters in WV.
- Cyborg326, on 05/16/2008, -1/+33he was probably brainwashed into doing that in the first place. When I was a 11 I certainly didn't care enough about politics to sell all of my worldy possessions.
- Mononuclear, on 05/16/2008, -0/+31I love how you can say whatever you want after saying "Im not racist but..." or "I don't mean to be rude but..." It makes anything you say ok. As soon as someone starts a sentence that way you know the next thing to come out of their mouth is going to be racist or rude respectively.
- Startemus, on 05/16/2008, -13/+43If any state deserves to be stripped of its delegates, it's WV.
- fuhlavaflave, on 05/16/2008, -0/+30I sure as ***** don't feel bad for him. I'm too busy playing Call of Duty and GTA IV to care.
- IphtashuFitz, on 05/16/2008, -1/+31I would love to see Obama win in November just to watch the panic it incites in places like WV. That "No more Hussein" womans head will probably explode, Scanners style, if that happens.
- J3553, on 05/16/2008, -2/+30that was hilarious, sad, and terrifying all at the same time.
- digjam, on 05/16/2008, -4/+32If that fat old lady dint know ***** about Obama Husein....WTF she knows about the "other" Hussein!
- Shiftgood, on 05/16/2008, -6/+28really? i thought it was shameful and disheartening.
oh.. you mean the show. - IphtashuFitz, on 05/16/2008, -2/+21Dueling banjos FTW!
- ZenMojo, on 05/16/2008, -1/+20Considering there's 1 black person in all of West Virginian, I'm assuming this is the "conflict" that woman says she has had with the "coloreds."
- EnviroChem, on 05/22/2009, -9/+28I about died laughing because of this piece.
- stillasleep00, on 05/16/2008, -1/+19Dear fellow diggers throughout the rest of the world:
Not all Americans are West Virginians.
Thank you. - maxer64, on 05/16/2008, -2/+20This is actually probably one of the best segments I've ever seen on the Daily Show. Literally highlights every problem with this year's election.
Wow. - Arguman, on 05/16/2008, -0/+17I think it's actually ok. This may be wrong, I got it from about.com, but the fec site also verified it:
"Contributions in the name of another person -- are not permitted. Note: Parents may not make contributions in the names of their children. Persons under 18 may contribute, but must do so willingly, under their own names, and with their own money."
but it also says: # Cash -- in any amount over $100 is prohibited.
So, unless this kid has his own checking account, I'm not sure how he did this. - NyteStarNyne, on 05/16/2008, -0/+17I have a girlfriend. She lives in Liberty City and compliments me when I buy new clothes.
- atticus8, on 05/16/2008, -5/+22Gulpy, this is worth "re-announcing" because its worth drawing attention to - over and over if that's what necessary. There are a lot of people who habitually ascribe some reason or another to Obama's lack of success / Hilary's success in certain areas, and it often is some reason that has to do with thinking and logic. These deeper thinkers need to be reminded that this (as in the quotes) is how a huge chunk of the population thinks. I, for one, knew in a technical sense that people there would be people who are against Obama simply on the basis of race (in other words, I know racists exist and vote as such) but it's somehow entirely different to be confronted with the attitude face-to-face.
I'm not a Clinton supporter, but if a large percentage of the voting public of some state voted on the basis of "I don't like Hilary because women are too stupid to be president", I'd like to have that known far and wide also. In short, I think that the fact that the average voter is an idiot and bases his vote on criterion that are, at best, awful is something both political and historically relevant. This issue can't be raised enough. - inactive, on 05/16/2008, -5/+22John Stewart - the man who brought together comedy, pop culture, youth, and politics.
You all know we'll be crying when we're old, and he retires Carson style. - pablo0713, on 05/16/2008, -4/+21I just hope that there was a smart filmmaker out there who went out and interviewed Hillary WV supporters. Make it a documentary. Use it to teach our children well. This is what happens when you grow up chewing on coal and breding with your cousins.
- HarryTruman, on 05/16/2008, -1/+16This is the general consensus, sadly. A large majority of this state (including anyone that I have ever called a coworker) are indoctrinated imbeciles who honestly think Obama is muslim.
- calantus, on 05/16/2008, -0/+15its the fact that they are mentally unstable, the three who answered the questions about why they didn't vote for obama.
- kreneskyp, on 05/16/2008, -1/+16so much for those theories that hillary won on her own merits.
- L0cKe, on 05/09/2009, -0/+14I lived in WV for 18 years and, yes, the people in the video are reflective of most of the population of the state.
- headzoo, on 05/16/2008, -0/+14And the Clinton campaign found him, and sat him right behind her during her speech.
- Brew, on 05/16/2008, -3/+16I just feel bad for the kid, I bet he is already regretting that decision.
- iamtehwinnerz, on 05/16/2008, -0/+13Maybe something more like a quiz where you had to match a candidate with his/her stance on issues.
- calantus, on 05/16/2008, -0/+13I will shed a tear when both John Stewart and Stephen Colbert retires.
