These measures force the subject to be taken up in the Congress and I wish people would set aside their political bias and look at this for the necessity it is. We cannot allow the infringement of our liberties to stand, we must send a message that it will not be tolerated for any reason. It's too easy for governments to manufacture terrorism and use it to push agendas which do not benefit the citizenry.
