- smoothmedia, on 10/11/2007, -22/+100Next time you hear someone mentioning the "Republican base"....think of these e-mails.
- shawnfassett, on 10/11/2007, -11/+69Isn't Michael's real last name 'Weiner' ???
Pretty much sums it up. - bristevens, on 10/11/2007, -6/+55I love how all of their e-mail addresses and names went over the air with their comments. Way to call them out.
- brianbennett, on 10/11/2007, -3/+49Dugg for hearing "*****" on C-SPAN.
- pagancollective, on 10/11/2007, -7/+49I didn't even realize "ass loser" was a phrase.
- MurderMystery, on 10/11/2007, -4/+43I believe he read them aloud to show the intelligience of Michael Savage listeners.
- epyon180, on 10/11/2007, -12/+46It was kind of funny to me until it got to the part where it said that he was charging $20 for the video. That ***** ***** is making money because of his dumb conservative audience.
- thepompano, on 10/11/2007, -8/+38@jcm267
Given that Michael Savage's listening base is mostly comprised of ignorant, hate-filled, uneducated, xenophobic hicks with absolutely no respect for anybody but each other, I would venture to say that none of the e-mails were well written and all of the controversy is completely fabricated so Savage can further outrage and profit from his hot-headed army of close-minded zealots.
"C-SPAN, which aired portions of the two-day event, chose to not air Savage’s acceptance speech because the conservative talker only appeared in a pre-recorded DVD speech." - unicronband, on 10/11/2007, -6/+34Um, dugg for being one of the coolest things on CSPAN. Ever.
- LoveWidescreen, on 10/11/2007, -17/+44Look, I'm a Republican (yeah, in this liberal sea of Digg - go figure) but even *I* can't listen to Michale Savage! He's so far on the loud-mouthed, extreme right that he makes Rush Limbaugh look like a moderate Democrat! Savage is not "right-wing". He's "the most extreme feathers farthest away from the body while still attached to the right wing" but he has a strong batch of loud-mouthism thrown in. Even when I agree with him, his method of presentation is like getting hit in the face with a brick, which I have no stomach for. So, of course, the people who listen to him are going to be of that kind of ilk.
I don't know what's worse on Digg: the fact that every, freaking thing that happens in this universe (even if it was decdes ago) somehow gets blamed on Bush or how everything right-of-center just gets totally lumped in with Republicans and conservatism. You guys need to stop looking through your DNC-supplied, rose-colored glasses and start realizing that there are numerous factions in the Republican party just as there are in the Democratic party. Michael Savage is on the extreme and is not representative of the Republican party as a whole, most especially in his tone and his "in your face with only nanometers separating you" style of presentation.
Oh, and for those who think that ring-wing radio is nothing but hate mongering, you obviously never listened to Air America. Or is only hate mongering if you don't agree with it? - epyon180, on 10/11/2007, -15/+42@ ibanezfoo
You are stupid if you think that that Al Gore's movie about saving the environment (which he donated the profits for and was easily obtainable for free if you were a teacher) and this guy charging TWENTY DOLLARS for his acceptance speech are the same thing. But then again those two things rank about the same for you with regards to how important they are so I don't blame you. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+32Excellent. The cure for slime mold is sunlight. Good job, Mr. Lamb.
- Cam_86, on 10/11/2007, -4/+29Michael Savage said, during the RNC in new york, that he would rather see the entire group of protesters die a horrible death, then have one of the NYPD horses get hurt because of the protests...
The mans a ***** tool. Course you just need to see his site to know that. - Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -6/+28if you guys would have read his post and not knee jerk reacted, he said communism CAN NOT WORK in the real world with real people, and while it's good in theory, the human race isnt capable of supporting such a system any time in the near future
but, good job proving his point about people in general. - alpine75, on 10/11/2007, -5/+26Michael Savage is a joke. I had to run his show at the station I worked at four years, and it got to the point where I had to stop listening to what he was saying because he was getting me so depressed.
I am a conservative, however I think that Savage really is a hateful man and an embarrassment to conservative ideas.
It was a glorious day when I no longer had to run his show. - hawkeye17, on 10/11/2007, -13/+34The fact that Savage actually has listeners is proof that the Neanderthals did actually survive!!
- MadNuke, on 10/11/2007, -14/+32I am incredibly annoyed by the majority of Conservative/Republican/right-wing Americans who blindly follow an unofficial anti-communist doctrine. Whether joking or not, many of them will make comments such as "damn commie" or "are you secretly a communist?" as if communism has an inherent negative connotation. The majority of these people haven't taken a second to honestly analyze or observe Communism as a valid political and economic system.
While I am not a fan of communism [imperfect people cannot be successfully applied to a system which relies on perfect behavior], I am also not a fan of those who are blindly against something they know nothing about. - pimpinainteasy, on 10/11/2007, -5/+22I think that "ass loser" comment is pretty offensive. Haven't we all lost our asses at one time or another?
- Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19I couldnt believe he read out what he did, but man what comedy gold.
- cyrix, on 10/11/2007, -5/+21Exactly murder.
The point of him reading them was to show just how childish and unintelligent Savages users are. I HATE SAVAGE. I used to have to listen to his show all the time at this one place I worked at. I felt as if I was becoming slowly retarded just having to listen to his *****. - Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -3/+18Funny, a republican who supports an admiinistration that has given us the "free speech zones" wins a free speech award.
- glxyjones, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16@mobydigg
therapy....seriously - AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -4/+16Ask yourself this question: Who has done more to benefit the United States of America, C-SPAN or Michael Weiner?
Case closed...
@LoveWide: "Oh, and for those who think that ring-wing radio is nothing but hate mongering, you obviously never listened to Air America. Or is only hate mongering if you don't agree with it?" Amen to that. Randi Rhodes is the most vitriolic, annoying and slanderous person on the radio today. Seriously... listening to her is like listening to fingernails on a chalk board. - Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14OK, then read what communism REALLLY is supposed to be, and point out to me where teh bad is? the bad isn't in the theory of communism, the bad is in the way it always has been and always will be applied. humans arent capable of true communism. The only arguents you get against what im saying is pretty much "no ***** you it cant work you're a ***** idiot ***** you commie fag"
- jodokast, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16A "Nazi and a Stalinist?"
Wow these people are idiots.
Nazism = extreme right
Stalinism = extreme left
You cant be both at the same time. - DeltaWolf, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Besides Colbert at the White house Corespondents Dinner of course.
- ZWarren69, on 10/11/2007, -15/+25HAHA! They always talk ***** about Ron Paul supporters, and then you see this garbage.... ***** neocons!
- fuzzmeister, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Of course. They Photoshopped the entire video, and it's all a liberal conspiracy. You can go back to your hole now.
- AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Maybe the Malkin crowd can start referring to liberals "ass losers".
That actually makes more sense than moonbat!
Calling a liberal a moonbat is about as offensive as calling a white person a cracker... it's not offensive because no one knows what the hell it means. - Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -25/+33Is this really how the general republican voting household thinks?
I mean, attacking every other news station other than FOX was one thing, but going after ***** C-SPAN????????????????????????
What a polite and educated bunch.
YOU NAZI STALINIST ASS LOSER sums up their intelligence pretty damn well id say.... - gboone, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9my favorite line from the video, "censor--that's spelled s-e-n-s-o-r."
- jodokast, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Actually, fascism favors the state's interests above the people. Communism is the exact opposite.
They're both just as bad though. Fascism is inherently evil. Communism is all well and good in theory, but human beings are not capable of executing such a theory without corrupting it. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+13wtf? why did he read them out? rofl
- Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10i dunno ibanez, I dont really hate those people or anything, but i can judge them by what they say about people who hold similar political opinions of mine.. and i think the statement is pretty accurate. they are pretty obviously full of hate.
the whole pot/kettle thing doesnt apply. - MurderMystery, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8"That's why the department store dummy named Wolf Blitzer, a Jew who was born in Israel, will do the astonishing act of being the type that would stick Jewish children into a gas chamber to stay alive another day. He's probably the most despicable man in the media next to Larry King, who takes a close runner-up by the hair of a nose. The two of them together look like the type that would have pushed Jewish children into the oven to stay alive one more day to entertain the Nazis."
HEAR! HEAR!
I guess this is how true conservatives think. - AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Is it just me, or does Brian Lamb seem like the last person on Earth that you'd want to debate with? The dude could probably cut anyone down to size in 10 seconds flat.
- stepnw1f, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6How is that fat bigoted drug addict you listen to?
- thepompano, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6@ibanezfoo
I never said I didn't like Michael Savage fans because they called C-SPAN naughty names, I said they were lunatics. Pot calling the kettle black doesn't apply and there was no inconsistency in what I said. And note that I said Michael Savage fans and not conservatives - calling these guys Republicans would be wholly inaccurate, they're off in a league of their own. Just listen to his show and you'll see what I mean. - Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Ok look, pointing out that someones comments are hateful, does not make you the same
obviously something hard for you to understand. - RollFizzlebeef, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7The Savage Nation:
The radio show for people who find Rush Limbaugh too complicated. - Boondoggle, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6 by MadNuke 51 minutes ago
"While I am not a fan of communism [imperfect people cannot be successfully applied to a system which relies on perfect behavior], I am also not a fan of those who are blindly against something they know nothing about."
-----------------------
Communism does not rely on perfect behavior. It relies on deeply flawed economic theory. Which explain a lot. As someone above pointed out, Q.E.D.
You're thinking more of "Totalitarianism" I think. - SenorCardgage74, on 10/11/2007, -6/+11@ ftljohnson
"I enjoy the thought of locking Michael Savage and Michael Moore in a room together and letting time make the world a better place."
If you really think these two are equitable, than Im gonna stop listening to you. - TubaTechno, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9"Next time you hear someone mentioning the "Republican base"....think of these e-mails."
Ahh. Another ignorant Digg comment that gets dugg up. You obviously don't listen to his talk radio show. He hates Bush as much as the most liberal Democrat. He says Republicans are destroying America.
His main demographics are Independents, NOT republicans. I personally hate listening to Savage because he doesn't do any logical arguing, it's just a bunch of name calling.
Welcome to Digg, where ignorance reigns!! - Aggaman, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7The problem here is that Savage is a nut case, and is an enabler of a bunch of social rejects who he encourages. These people are emboldened by loons like him and Limbaugh into spewing hate and endlessly fulminating about "liberals".
Most of these so-called tough conservatives are a bunch of dweebs. Next time someone spouts off like this in your presence, kick their ass. If they start whining about their "rights", kick their ass again. - LoveWidescreen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Kudos from another conservative who can't listen to Savage!
- gerbalblaste, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8lovewidescreen: Most liberals listen to NPR, not Air America. Talk radio is generally the refuge of the extreme fringe. Those on Talk Radio are generally the political equivalent of Howard Stern; shock jockies trying to get people pissed at them.
- zdiggler, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6The Savage guy is a crook! That's not even his real name.
- DubbedOver, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Example of his website:
A MichaelSavage.com headline:
"Two teenage gangs of gays and lesbians get into fight. One gang member beaten with a stiletto by gay"
*click*
Page for advertisement of mug with "Liberalism is a mental disorder", a hat and the "free speech dvd".
*click continue to article*
and finally the the Washingtonpost.com headline which Savage links to:
"6 Arrested in Gang Attack Near Metro Station" - stepnw1f, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6@jcm267,
"...12 viewers"? Really? You lie about that too:
Pew Research Center surveys have shown that as many as 12% of Americans are regular C-SPAN viewers...
http://people-press.org/commentary/display.php3?AnalysisID=87
That means Population: 301,139,947 (July 2007 est.) x .12 = 36,136,794 folks are regular watchers
THAT'S OVER 36 MILLION PEOPLE!!!!!!! Hahaaa.... - fuzzmeister, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6I haven't seen a liberal call someone an "ass loser"...
