- gigaboss, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14revision3.com ........0 household television sets around the world
current tv ....... in over 50 million homes worldwide including the united kingdom..
not to be a fan boy or anything. :) - Jrr6415sun, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15this is my first time hearing about it, but from what i'm reading, it sounds a lot more innovative than revision3
- Snuff99, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Jeez, forget Gore helped create the channel, watch it and see for yourselves. It's a really good channel because it's made by us. If you don't like liberals do a "pod" about it and if it's decent, they'll show it on the channel. They are great at fairly showing all sides of many, many issues. What's better than viewer created content?!
- chall2001, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15Geez, why do some people hate Gore so much? While he isn't perfect, he has done a lot of positive things and his heart seems to be in the right place.
And he was instrumental in the creation of the Internet. Do some research into the "High Performance Computing and Communication Act of 1991".
Vint Cerf stated “Al Gore was the first political leader to recognize the importance of the Internet and to promote and support its development.”. But what would Vint know about the Internet. - mkriss5681, on 10/10/2007, -16/+26I really wish Gore would just run for President.
- slugicide, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11You are a ***** moron. If he wanted to be president, he could. He has stated numerous times that he's no longer interested. He has "lost his taste for politics."
- mkriss5681, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Not by popular vote. Al Gore won. The American people lost.
- seandaly, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I wish your mom would learn when her 15 minutes were up, My ***** is starting to chafe!
- Snuff99, on 10/10/2007, -6/+13I love Current TV. It's extremely informative, like nothing else on television. Also it's great for this ADD generation.
- trenchcoat, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Excelsior.
- NJHewitt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7It's a 24hr free cable/satellite channel in the UK (at least).
- veruus, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10Current is actually a pretty cool channel. Its liberal douchebaggery is kept at a relatively low level. Definitely more youth/internet culture oriented than anything else on TV. It's pretty cool to have 6-8 minute newsbits about random stuff. I had no idea that Gore was behind it.
- PIXELFLIP, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11I love revision3.com and I contribute to current.tv ..... I'll let y'all judge for yourself, but stay tuned for www.current.com launching very soon. I would say it is definitely innovative.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9It's similar to neocon douchebaggery, but with properly cited facts and less warmongering.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Listen, I don't what your political message is as long as you're courteous and speak intelligently. If you're a dick I'm going to digg you down. What do you think will happen if you call everyone "little piggies"?
Grow up, learn to source your facts, stop complaining about roving bands of "libs", and you won't get dugg down. It's very simple. - robwolf100, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Dang, my vote for best interactive television service was "Let's Paint,Exercise,& Blend Drinks"
Just in case you never herd of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvbL_5rH1QQ - NinjaBoy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5They just need a way to stream the entire channel online.
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Awards shows are stupid.
More often than not the decisions are predetermined and motivated by outside factors. - mlvassallo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Maybe NOT being president is the best thing that could have happened to Al.
Although if he ran I'd vote. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9"Dick in a box" won an Emmy!
- zengonzo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I might otherwise agree with you, but I have three hundred channels and what you just described sounds rather more interesting than what I can find on them most of the time.
- str3ama, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Interestingly enough, when Current TV was first suggested it was scoffed at by initial investors as being too expensive and no lucrative market in the future for video...
- swordedge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Al Gore is Liberal
Hollywood is Liberal
Nuf said. - IndigoMoss, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Plus some of that ***** on there is absolutly crazy. My friend said they showed this dude in the Congo get shot by soilders and then they threw his body off the bridge. Crazy *****.
- Dweller99, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3(D)
- TheUngod, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I saw one, one time, that said the world was ending the next week. Then in the next week's paper, they said we were miraculously saved at the zero hour by a Koala-fish mutant bird. Crazy *****.
- mkriss5681, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3MLB Mosaic: For the low, low price of 19.95 a month. Pretty cool service, but I don't think its worth the cost.
- jiller, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2it is so hard to express sarcasm on the internet
- nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah..wonder how he lost..Why don't you ask Jeb?
- mandarin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3you mean most of it is just a bunch of videos of kittens and britney's underwear?
- OakRidger, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Well, that makes two elections he's won.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I don't care much for this man's political or socioeconomic views - but I think he's done a terrific job at current, and is really trying to make a positive influence on technology. That's something I think we can all agree on.
- eurynome420, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3IM SERIAL !!! MANBEARPIG is for really real and no one is taking me serial! *cries*
- EricSchC1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2...said the guy who's not read the comments from the people who actually have heard about/used it
- bobzibub, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Newsworld int'l (what it was before) was better.
Thank the gods in the sky for http://www.starchoice.com/ - seandaly, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4@cygnus2112, Your mom most certainly does change diapers... Just last week after I finished plowing the woman who breastfed you", I tried to fart and accidentally ***** my pants. She was right there to wipe the ***** off my ass. It was a little weird though, as I'm pretty sure your mom was really enjoying it.
Your mom wouldn't happen to be German, would she? - boo1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I know what you can do then...call George senior and ask him to call his buddies on the supreme court and see if they can overturn an emmy!
- elvisjulep, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2He does...it's called Current TV
- eviltroll, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3I think its pathetic how the liberal media marches Gore up on stage at seemingly every award ceremony to give him yet another token award and a media hand job. They try so hard to make his message seem worthy of praise despite the scientific controversy that surrounds it. Meanwhile, he's taking these awards and his never ending free press right to the bank.
- IndigoMoss, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Yeah I had no idea Gore was behind it either. My friend told me about it one day and said how crazy it was. I started watching it and I can't get enough.
- elvisjulep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Well, I'll concede that most of the other channels I have are garbage, but trust me, Current is worse than watching the real estate ads on the Time of the Day channel. At least Public Access has people like the Spirit of Truth. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5139506886506885143
- Snuff99, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I don't work for current, but I wouldn't deny it if I did. I've learn more about what's current in the world from that channel than any where else. It's a straight up, no sugar coat, unbiased view of millions of issues that go on everyday. From Iraq to Africa, from California to my backyard. Yesterday I learned about the black market for Bush Meat in New York, follow by a pod about an undercover agent that helped bring down the American Mafia, then some coverage of Burning Man. You never know what you may see on currentTV and that's awesome. Period.
- onebigswede, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3why did gore win the emmy? Because in that particular category, there really wasn't any competition! Plus, hollywood would vote for gore if he had a tv channel devoted to watching people take a dump.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Close. He is *****, not "ass". That is *****.
- DiggzDE, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Yeah seriously. This coming from a guy whose name is "jesusgaytard". Not sure how much more "troll" you can get.
- EricSchC1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Links to "nice and courteous" right-leaning statements or it never happened.
- insonh, on 10/10/2007, -13/+14and the winner for best documentry is...............
Al Gore for "Manbearpig" - Bodhinature, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1CurrentTV has a lot of potential. Now, if we could get some knowledgeable people hosting and developing instead of a bunch of dimwitted hipsters extolling the virtues of political action without the weight of real facts and information. The last video I saw on Current was a bunch of leather wearing college aged hipsters doing a film on Lebanon. They never talked about the culture, interviewed any Lebanese, grounded the audience with history or politics. They just stood around bombed out homes talking about how weird it was to be in Lebanon. Give me a friggin' break. Are we trying to expand minds or further alienate ourselves.
- RobynG7, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1We aren't psychic. If you're being sarcastic, then yeah, you need to use [sarcasm] tags or else you'll get dugg down.
