If she can't call those people out at her own rallies and tell them "That's not America" she needs to be taken off the Republican ticket, right now.

This is an Alaska Independence Party meeting. Go to the 6th minute of this video. They are a radical group that wanted Alaska to secede from the USA. Very un-American, unpatriotic. Sarah & her husband were both members. She claimed she never was, but the AIP says otherwise in this video. That is not just "someone" saying it, that is the Vice Chairman of the AIP Dexter Clark speaking at their national convention. His wife Lynette Clark is the chairman (head of) the AIP). If anyone would know if Sarah Palin was a member, it would be him!

Her accusation is frustrating, and I think Obama's interactions with
William Ayers is if anything good for the future of the country.
First off her argument is silly. Obama was a young child during the
activities of The Weather Underground and in no way has ever agreed
with the bombings of the Weathermen. In fact he condones the bombings
and all violent actions.
Obama puts it fairly well: "And the notion that somehow as a
consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40
years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my
values, doesn't make much sense"
Even still, Obama did serve on a non-profit charity board with Ayers
for 9 years. Is Obama dangerous now because he spent time doing good
things with someone politically radical? Ayers also lived down the
street from Obama. Obama says they hardly talk. No one can know if
that's true. Whether or not they spent time together is a stupid
question to me. Say they spent every day together and were really good
friends. I'd say that would be perfectly fine. You don't have to agree
with someone's tactics or political viewpoints to have intelligent
conversation (that you both learn from) with someone. You know more
than many others that you can learn the most from people you disagree
with. Arguing about disagreements in politics, morality or really
anything can help you advance yourself as a person...
If Pallin is insinuating he should've quit the charity board once he
found out there was a former radical serving on the board that's a bit
crazy to me. Stop helping people because there's a chance your mind
might get infected with radical politics. You might become
brainwashed. That's scary, I don't want anything to do with anyone
that's not like me and I don't even want to hear anything he has to
say, never mind argue with him.
And even if Obama did agree with Ayers on a lot of issues... I'd say
that's probably a good thing. From everything I've read The Weather
Underground were standing up for what they believed in in ways that
forced people to listen. They successfully bombed many buildings
without injuring anyone but themselves (by an unfortunate accident),
and that in itself brought nation-wide media attention to issues and
actions which would've otherwise gone by mostly unnoticed.
To call radicals and protesters terrorists is dangerous to the
fundamental values upon which this country were formed. I think the
founding fathers were incredibly brilliant people who really
understood oppression. This nation was set up by radicals who
understood the importance of checks and balances. The Declaration of
Independence calls on the people of the United States to revolt under
oppression and to abolish/alter the Government when necessary. Not
just as something to do, but as the duty of being an American citizen.

As far as the methods of the Weather Underground go I would like to
discuss them with you in person. Because e-mail sucks and national
security makes it possible for all e-mails to be scanned for key words
and read without the need for any warrants. I do have thoughts on
their actions though which I'd really like to talk to you about.
Basically what I'm getting at is people standing up for what they
believe in is very good. Different people use different methods and I
don't agree with all the methods being used. In some instances I feel
as though writing a letter won't suffice. I realize the advantages of
both direct action and dialogue. My preference is direct action AND
dialogue.
I had an argument with my dad about protesting. He said he didn't
think people should be allowed to protest at the Democratic/Republican
National Conventions. I said "then how are they supposed to protest
and be heard?" He said there is a time and a place for protesting. For
me the time and place for protesting is anywhere in public and
wherever/whenever you will be heard.
All in all, I think Obama's relations with Ayers are healthy if
anything. Harsh words, but I think Pallin is a dim-witted numskull and
I can't believe the American people aren't insulted with the things
she's been saying.
