- planetidiot, on 11/05/2009, -8/+148On Fox News? (head explodes)
- Pyrallis, on 11/06/2009, -1/+138Why marijuana was banned in the US: “Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.” - Harry Anslinger, chief of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, 1929.
Put that up on billboards in all major cities in the US. - funkedup, on 11/05/2009, -2/+116Napolitano has been saying this for years. He's one of the few judges in America that actually understands things, and doesn't use the judiciary post to promote his agenda or to expand his power.
- heliumflash, on 11/06/2009, -1/+104If only this aired on TV and not just the internet. Imagine how quickly the viewers opinions would change if Beck and O'Reilly started saying this
- GorfTron, on 11/06/2009, -0/+80What about "it's not working" do people not understand?
- HeyyyJoe, on 11/06/2009, -0/+79Why doesn't this show get primetime coverage on Fox?
- nVious, on 11/06/2009, -0/+701 trillion tax dollars spent to fight a war against non-violent crimes? Thats a waste of money
- dumass4u, on 11/06/2009, -2/+38Nice and informative. I wish they wouldn't have brought in the abortion spin though. Thats a completely different issue, and should be treated as such.
- BLyday, on 11/06/2009, -4/+39Rupert Murdoch: "What are they saying?! Shut it off! Cut off their mics!"
- fanclerks, on 11/06/2009, -2/+28The start of the Drug War is mostly attributed to Anslinger, but you really do have to give credit to Regan and his "Just Say No" campaign. A lot of the problems stem from the propoganda that Anslinger and Reagan both inundated the public with and the brainwashing that they instituted in the school system.
- Rakmos, on 11/06/2009, -2/+24Friends close, enemies closer....
- semiotic, on 11/06/2009, -1/+23That's exactly what I came on here to say. Comparing abortion and smoking a joint was not necessary, no matter which side of the debate you fall on.
- monkiboi, on 11/06/2009, -1/+23Re-Legalize it!
- TheMeatball, on 11/06/2009, -0/+22Glenn Beck actually has come out in favor of marijuana legalization recently.
He's ***** crazy so who knows if it's changed since then, though. - ZRB87, on 11/06/2009, -1/+21http://freedomwatchonfox.com/
- Cannonballkid, on 11/06/2009, -2/+21A tip, never quote P Diddy to back up an argument.
- jjmdirector, on 11/06/2009, -0/+18The Judge is a true constitutionalists and a great American. I urge everyone to support LEAP's efforts. it looks like they got their ***** together and they have experience on their side.
- charlie6969, on 11/06/2009, -2/+18no legalization=no regulation
- austinwpetersen, on 11/06/2009, -1/+13It's coming...
- EricSchC1, on 11/06/2009, -2/+13Now if only Fox News had a damn thing to do with personal responsibility and liberty...or news...or factual information.
- kemp34, on 11/06/2009, -0/+10I think one thing to realize is that creating broad stereotypes of any large group of people is pretty damn idiotic.
- DankBuddz, on 11/06/2009, -0/+11He's going to be in favor of whatever makes him more money.
- DankBuddz, on 11/06/2009, -1/+12Beck is in favor of legalizing marijuana.
- HigherLogic, on 11/06/2009, -3/+14Good thing I wasn't arguing, but stating a fact. Drugs are illegal to keep many industries and groups happy, such as the prison system, guards, law enforcement, timber, corn, plastic, paper, pharmaceutical, etc.
- RIPtechtv, on 11/06/2009, -2/+12I would love Fox for a long time if they let Judge Andrew Napolitano out of the Fox News cage and let him have his own show. I know they have talked about it in the past but they likely never will since he does believe in FEMA Prison Camps and a few other taboo topics.
- DiscoLando, on 11/06/2009, -5/+13Because they're staunch libertarians and libertarians don't make for good TV. (John Stossel being the exception)
- planetidiot, on 11/06/2009, -2/+10I'm not bashing these guys at all. I agree with them. More liberty, less government! If only any politicians on either side would have the balls to get it done.
To clarify, I thought this video actually aired on fox and was flabbergasted that they would run something not approved by the republican party. But since they didn't (it has been pointed out it was online only) my head has stopped exploding and I've cleaned most of the pieces off the walls. - maestroh, on 11/06/2009, -1/+9If fox news starts championing drug legalization I might actually start watching it
- sgerwel1985, on 11/06/2009, -0/+8Actions speak louder than words. Or was it the other way around. I seem to get so confused recently because everyone is all about talking and agreeing to things, but i swear (and maybe it's just me) but i see no progress (on anything).
- hacker52404, on 11/06/2009, -3/+11Exactly! I expected that "technical problems" screen that comes up on FOX when a Democrat starts to make a good point...
- OneRottenTomato, on 11/06/2009, -1/+9For the generation that were brainwashed into thinking that "it will work" to die off.
- Propethic, on 11/06/2009, -0/+7For the record, I believe Glenn Beck surprisingly is in favor of legalization/relaxed sentences, and has treated guests who have this view with repect, one of the only things Fox seems to do right, although it only seems to be for guests that are well known figures. If someone comes on from NORML or something else, they're usually yelled at and mocked
- idontknowpizza, on 11/06/2009, -0/+7"not"
- speede06, on 11/06/2009, -0/+6I like what he is doing but isn't that promoting his agenda? His agenda is just rationality.
- djholybolt, on 11/06/2009, -0/+6white, black, hispanic, pretty much any race could be subject to meth use, living in trailers/double-wides, or ***** each other. It all depends on what part of the country. You fail yet again sir. And you don't even consider that the quote you're responding to comes from the 1920's when with what you respond with doesn't really occur.
FAIL - yocouchdigga, on 11/07/2009, -0/+6What do you mean, "you people"? /obligatory
- Moonrider, on 11/06/2009, -0/+6Nixon was worse than Reagan, but Anslinger (along with Hearst and the chemical guy) absolutely deserves the credit for the drug war and the shame and notoriety of having his face and racist comment plastered all over the nation, even if he IS aready dead and won't see it himself.
- Zaxcomp, on 11/06/2009, -1/+7@aadyss
Do you realize the personal responsibility involved in keeping your actions hidden to general public while drinking booze and doing drugs? It isn't an easy task. - Propethic, on 11/07/2009, -0/+6What? By that comment I can tell you've never watched any of these shows, a simple youtube search would prove my point
- acknotSW, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5I'd change the first one.
Personal responsibility (used the same way you are using business responsibility) + business responsibility = Democrat
With republicans they want everyone to conform to their ass backward view of family values and living according gods plan, which they would also like to legislate that you believe in or at least that your children are taught it in school.
Democrats are not much better in this area though, just in a different way. They think they can tax and legislate stupidity and irresponsible behavior out of existence.
Both democrats and republicans have their ideal view of what society should be and actively work to bring that view into reality, whether we like it or not. - creepnitreal420, on 11/07/2009, -0/+5aadyss, who let you out from under you bridge?
- semiotic, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5They don't even know how to spell.
- fanclerks, on 11/07/2009, -0/+5@kalvinb
I wasn't saying "Just Say No" is necessarily bad. I was just using it as an example of the brainwashing that the government uses to push its agenda. Same thing with the DARE program and the "brain on drugs" type ads that you see everywhere. - acknotSW, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4There is progress, The number of times I've seen national marijuana stories aired, usually with a fairly neutral stance on the matter, has increased dramatically in the last 2 years. If nothing else, that gets people who might not use or know anyone who does talking and thinking about the subject.
- kemp34, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4What is this "jingoistic title" you speak of?
- inactive, on 11/07/2009, -0/+4thank you dank buddz. That's a terribly inaccurate characterization or Rupert Murdoch if its meant to portray him as some kind of ideological propagandist who gives commands from on high to his media empire to "keep on message" and censor the opposition. Maybe Roger Ailes does that, but Murdoch just does whatever sells. He has liberal newspapers in the UK, because they sell better than conservative ones there.
- Zaxcomp, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Same reason I read Ayn Rand. Know the enemy.
- chupavacas, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4Napolitano for Senate!
- CrackyJSquirrel, on 11/06/2009, -0/+4WOW A WHOLE 725 VOTES!? That's like half the united states population!!!!
- Atario, on 11/07/2009, -0/+4At least till Obama comes out in favor of it too. Then watch what happens.
