- inactive, on 10/29/2007, -12/+88The White House's propaganda campaign continues to try to create a drumbeat to war as it did with Iraq. Many nations are supplying weapons that are used against US soldiers (who have no right to be there in the first place), namely the US, but others like our friends China, Saudi Arabia, & Russia.
- inactive, on 10/29/2007, -8/+71I've read that our government (the US) has stopped & captured a couple of weapon shipments from Iran in recent weeks. So show us the proof! Personally I think its more invented fake intel, like Iraqi WMDs.
Next, does that give us the right to bomb Iran back into the stone age? I don't think so. Why?
First because even if it were true its not enough to go to war or bomb the f*ck out of any country.
Second, we do know for a fact that we, the US has provided a mountain of weapons to Iraqis to slaughter themselves & our soldiers with (directly & accidentally), so shall we bomb ourselves in the US? No.
Third, we also know that the weapons are also coming from our allies such as Saudi Arabia, China, & Russia. So should we bomb them too? Of course not.
Fourth, you can not trust this Republican White House about anything they claim, especially when they create another propaganda campaign to go to war. - inactive, on 10/29/2007, -5/+58Here is a tough question, who has a right to do what they are doing?
U.S.: A country who made up fake propaganda intel to illegally invade, occupy, police, & tell their democratically elected leaders what to do? Who by the way are not the same race, are from the other side of the planet, do not share the same belief systems, or language.
Iran: Or a country that is literally connected to Iraq, was part of the same "country" for thousands of years, with a third of Iraqis being Persian Shiites of Iranian descendantry, is part of the region, only fought Iraq because of the US's propped-up despot was told to fight Iran (with US money & weapons), who signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty with the US & world allowing them to make nuclear energy, who is complying with the IAEA despite the non-diplomacy of the US, & shares most of the belief systems of Iraq.
So, who has more of a right to do what they're doing? - iching, on 10/10/2007, -5/+39The US failed to secure 380 tons of high explosives the kind where one oz of the stuff can blow up a car-2004
http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/102604Z.shtml
The Pentagon has lost track of about 190,000 AK-47 assault rifles and pistols given to Iraqi security forces in 2004 and 2005 under the command of Gen. Petraeus.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ... - bigfkncee, on 10/10/2007, -6/+29wheres the proof? or is this like those WMDs that they never found?
- swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -4/+27this is ridiculous, its like calling for war with Russia because the insurgents use Kalashnikovs
- k3ano, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24Even if they did show proof with pictures or video I doubt most people would believe the them anyway. This administration and the departments working for them have no credibility anymore.
- positron, on 10/10/2007, -7/+26One of the very few times you will ever see me write this in a comment, but...
Video or it didn't happen! (referring to the missile smuggling, not the accusing) - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+23This US administration's credibility is way below zero right now.
- sfacets, on 10/10/2007, -5/+23Is this the excuse they are going to use?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21The current US administration says all kinds of goofy *****. Who cares what they say now?
- Kewlduderules, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20B.S.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+20It's not really the support of Iran, it the fact that many diggers feel that the Neocons in the administration will make any excuse to go to war with Iran.
- m1th, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18"The great irony is that while these accusations towards Tehran are supported by thin evidence, plenty of evidence does exist that another of Iraq's neighbors, U.S.-ally Saudi Arabia, is supporting resistance groups in Iraq, and intends to continue to do so."
http://digg.com/politics/The_Royal_Treatment_Saudi ... - IbnDigg, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19Typical US *****, say it enough times and it's true. How stupid do they think we are?
- bratpack8, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19Three words: Gulf of Tonkin
- geometry, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13But wait, I just heard them announce that they KNOW the weapons are coming from the North, East, South and West. There is no ignoring that evidence. If that's not enough they having DRAWINGS of the trucks bringing over the weapons.
- bratpack8, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13Another way to put this is this: If China had invaded Canada or Mexico, would we be just hanging out watching? Or would we be either helping them militarily with troops and/or missiles and bombs?
- Waiting2awake, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Until it is roundly shown to be as false as the WMD's. Then the usual suspects will change their mantra to something else, until that too gets disproven, and they will move on again.... Repeat as needed.
Why hasn't America taken back their country yet? Worse, looking at some of the threads, I think America is getting worse as it relates to Iran. - Vazelos, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12The sad part is that some people will actually believe anything that comes out of a government...
- iching, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I don't support this little twit, but we made huge diplomatic blunders by demonizing rather than talking to Iran.
As far as the missiles go I don't believe it after being fed so many lies. I didn't digg you down but once again you assume by questioning my government I support the Iranian government. Very shallow thinking and logically deficient. - dima7b, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Riiiiiiiiiiight....and this is coming from the same government that helped Saddam gain power in the 80's and has lost hundreds of thousands of weapons in Iraq today, probably which have been sold to insurgents? OK then!
- Sean98125, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13Are these the missiles that the Reagan Administration sold to Iran in the 80s?
- ScornForSega, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14....bought and paid for with U.S. funds.
- Pritchard, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9There is no proof. Tell me how someone's caught shipping god damned MISSILES from one country to another without immediate action being taken. Our feeling of safety is our feeling of terror. We're assumed to be so safe, they could announce retrieving nuclear weapons from Iran and carrying them into Iraq casually, without evidence, and without panic. They'd gain their support for a war, however.
- ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9In other news, the United States is the largest provider of munitions to Iraq in the world. But we're the United States, so it's cool.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Iraqi Shi'ites are not Persians, they are Arabs even though they are Shi'ites. In fact there is an Arab minority in Iran, not the other way around.
- terrordome, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12Because the brutal, pure evil regime of America is threatening with illegal war. That's not too hard to comprehend, is it?
- kooft, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Because some people believe them.
- badarabdad, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10it's okay for the US to do it, but heaven forbid a neighboring country. hypocrites.
- Philodox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Or like how the US gave weapons to the taliban so they could fight the Soviets?
- siszam, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8We know they like to create fake videos.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Viktor Bout and other weapon dealers are selling weapons to EVERYONE with money!
- seandaly, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10This message paid for by the Republican National Committee.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9I'm not so much pro-Iran as am against the U.S. trying to fight another war when we can't even get Iraq under control. Our forces are getting stretched thin.
- deadbaby, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Why shouldn't they? If Iran invaded Mexico we'd certainly be supplying the Mexican people with weapons and troops. Iran has more of a right to be meddling in Iraqi politics than America ever will.
- reubencm, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10doesnt this remind you of the beggining of every war in history, one country pointing the finger and making accusations each week, all of which are later confirmed to be false.
- geekee, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7The sad things is some people won't believe anything that contradicts their preconceived notions. I believe the term truthiness was coined to describe it.
- theworldisflat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Germany, 1933.
- sathishcj, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9How is this any different from US arming Sunnis?
Hypocrites. - rarson, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9All the more ironic with Blackwater accused of selling weapons.
Does the US actually have any credibility left in the world, or is that just the perception that our government and mainstream media keeps insisting, despite the facts that would make it seem otherwise? - slowmode, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9Here we have an example of white house propaganda.
- TheGort, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6We haven't taken back our country because we don't have maps to help us find the US to take it back.
- Memitim, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The problem is that this government has lost all credibility. Very simple. There are a lot of ***** up places in the world, some far worse than anything that Iran has come up with, and we ignore them completely. Myanmar is at yet another point where the people are rising up against the military junta that took it over and they will once again get shut down while we do nothing. Darfur is soaked in blood and we do nothing. Saudi Arabia, you know, the source of 15 of the 9/11 hijackers and homeland of Osama bin Laden, is our good buddy. China has Most Favored Nation trade status. But suddenly Iran are now some kind of dire threat. Even though before this propaganda campaign began, there were stories about the advances being made in terms of human rights in Iran. We handed Iran the gift of a lifetime by taking out Saddam Hussein and destabilizing Iraq, but now they are the source of all evil.
I can't blame Iran one bit if they are working to develop a nuclear weapon because, despite the propaganda campaign's determination to convince us that all Iranians want to see Israel destroyed even though Iran has a thriving Jewish community, they are being repeatedly, clearly, and directly threatened by a country that possesses the most powerful military on the planet and has now demonstrated that they are pursuing proactive aggression strategies on a national scale: the United States. At this point, I have more trust in the word of the Iranian president than I do of our own. I'd imagine that Ahmenajad is a power hungry asswipe but I am far more willing to give him and the Iranian people much more of the benefit of the doubt than I ever would have before simply because I've seen this routine from the Bush administration before and know for certain what a load of ***** it represents. - geekee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Even the president of Iran says he doesn't think the US wants war with Iran.
- mirunit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Yes, the sad part is some people will believe that everything from the government is a lie. I would say its about 50/50, think for yourself.
- cheesehead, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6The US military is not a credible source
- ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Israel is already nuclear armed. Ehud Olmert admitted they have 600+ nuclear weapons and he got reamed up the ass by his political party for saying so.
- swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4That being said, STOP ***** SELLING THEM WEAPONS
- Kindjal, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8I don't buy any of this anymore, neither the War for Oil, War to finance Corporations (contractors) or the Iran and Iraq are innocent theories. This is about something else, something bigger. I am no conspiracy theorist. There is something else going on here that we do not understand. The closest idea i have is that we are pushed into a new recession, a global one.
I know this might be a long shot but i have to voice it anyways. A global recession will only benefit the people with power, money and the Banks. It will lower wages, taxes, reclaim all property and possessions from the "masses". It will equal the playing field with evolving 3rd world countries like China.
It is an economical reset of some sort that will give the people that own this world a fresh start for their capitalistic slavery with a big profit. A principle that is as old as civilization, you never give someone property, you lend it to them. You tax it, you enslave them.
I could go into more detail but i think the bright diggers here know what i am talking about. I had to get this of my chest because i feel this is just the pretense for a much bigger threat we will face in just a few years. -
