- Jen326, on 11/01/2007, -0/+38This guy resigned, but Condi then quietly promoted two guys within the State Department that are involved with Blackwater.
No victory here for anyone that wants accountability. - reeder, on 10/29/2007, -2/+26I'll wager a months wages on who he will end up working for.
- FluffyWolf, on 11/01/2007, -0/+16Phew, the found a scape goat that resigned. Nice, so now all is forgotten, and all is well.
- hiphoc, on 10/29/2007, -2/+17I wonder if this guy has a job for him reserved some where.... anybody want to guess?
- thedarkrabbit, on 10/26/2007, -0/+13Someone once said "a good leader surrounds himself with wise advisors and knows when and how to accept their advice" (or something along those lines)
How many people have the Bush administration "let go" or seen quit? -- NOT A GOOD LEADER. - Zombi, on 10/26/2007, -1/+9Is this a new record for government resignations in the United States?
- Kugo, on 10/26/2007, -0/+8Very much so. Political cutting of losses. Straight from the book.
- inactive, on 11/01/2007, -1/+8the problem is not blackwater per se but allowing businessmen into the killing business _legally_.
what's next, your neighbour policing you with no training whatsoever just because he got the job? - mandarin, on 10/26/2007, -0/+6Must be hiding his money now....
- youMISERABLEpos, on 10/26/2007, -0/+6Dirt bag. Deserves worse really.
- Banelos, on 10/26/2007, -0/+5Every time a tiny bit of government involvement in some scandal is uncovered, they quickly find a patsy who takes all the blame and resigns before any criminal prosecution can commence.
- MaTT2011, on 10/26/2007, -1/+5Wow, is their a member of the bush administration that HASN'T resigned in complete and disastrous shame due to a complete lack of ability, intelligence and character?
- barandon0D9, on 10/26/2007, -0/+4Except there are still people who vigorously defend him and his policies, including some Republican candidates for president.
- maybeinoregon, on 10/26/2007, -0/+4He left to quietly ensure his off shore account was still intact.
- brianbb98, on 10/26/2007, -1/+5say that 5 times fast.
- ChristPissed, on 10/26/2007, -0/+4Rats + Scurry = Sinking Ship.
yay. - skews13, on 10/26/2007, -0/+4bush cronism;hire a crony,if he becomes a story in the news cycle.accept resignation.if he is prosecuted,and convicted.issue pardon before authorities can get to truth.
- digsig, on 10/26/2007, -0/+3At least someone paid for these incidents, but i'm not convinced until the US stops all mercenary activities. The real news in the article:
"Meanwhile, a survivor of the September 16 incident told CNN on Wednesday that he and a number of other victims were summoned to a meeting with U.S. Embassy officials and were offered money. Mohammed Abdul Razzaq, whose 9-year-old son died, said the embassy offered him $12,500 -- which he said he refused because "they didn't acknowledge their crime."
"Don't they need to acknowledge my son's blood first so I can forgive them? Now I can't. How can I take compensation and they never acknowledge the crime?" he said. "
That's what an Iraqi child's life is worth to the US State Department. I say Blackwater pays out the $8 million to the family of each victim, as the Iraqi government has demanded ( http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ... ). - duggtodeath, on 10/26/2007, -0/+3And look! The dead Iraqis are coming back to life! All really is well!
- krnldmp, on 10/26/2007, -0/+3Obviously Griffin thinks otherwise.
- fixedcoma, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2i think it is!
- fixedcoma, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2in weight , probably a ton! 2000 lbs of *****!! lol
- fixedcoma, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2... And when the truth gets out as it does, they run like little cockeroaches ! Quick get a newspaper or taser to get this one before it runs off!
- elvisB, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2Mercenary armies are a sign of big trouble. Cesar used them to police his cattle. These ***** were stomping around New Orleans after Katrina, terrorizing people. That whole disaster was used as a war fighting laboratory for incoming martial law. I don't know if they confiscated guns like the national guard did, but I heard reports of Blackwater mercs looting. By the way, these pigs are paid up to a quarter million per tour in Iraq with, you guessed it, our tax dollars. The name Blackwater is borrowed from an old Japanese guild of political assassins, how appropriate for these private jack-booted pig demons.
- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2In the other news the story that has captivated the American minds: "Dumbledore Is Gay. Other Secrets Are To Be Revealed?"
- bjs3171, on 10/26/2007, -0/+2has this administration had the most resignations ever?
- Snowspot, on 10/26/2007, -2/+3I say we stop calling Republicans Repugs or Rethugs or whatever. I don't think any right-minded Republican can look at this situation and say the president is doing a good job. I think we have to stop attacking each others party... and get this lunatic out of office. No matter what party you're in, it's obvious that Bush is only in it for himself at this point...
- cherwilco, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1***** lowlife go pay for traffic somewhere instead of desperately trying to get 2 or 3 hits from people your just pissing off with the spam *****!
- BrandonMills, on 10/26/2007, -0/+1Shhhh! You're supposed to be a sap and just assume that since someone resigned, that 'obviously' someone was held accountable. Even when the guys below him, who were actually incharge of overseeing Blackwater, got promoted.
Btw, our new Attourney General is up for vote. He refuses to define torture infront of the Senate, so if he gets confirmed, I'm sure he'll be 'just peachy'. Let you Senators know that, if he refuses to define torture, he shouldn't have the job. - SniperZed, on 10/26/2007, -1/+1you're on ;D
- TheRealizer, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0 If I had had access to several tons of $100.00 dollar bills, I would would want to be able to stash my share in offshore accounts. I am certain he is missing no meals because of poverty.
- northseed, on 10/26/2007, -0/+0sucks to be the meat shield, eh Richard Griffin?
- bluesnowmonkey, on 10/26/2007, -1/+1Buried for not being inflammatory.
- MIDO997, on 10/26/2007, -1/+0nice
http://forex7.110mb.com/ - Kugo, on 10/26/2007, -6/+4I'm not convinced BW were out of line. Perhaps they were. I'm not convinced Prince is out of line. He makes his money doing credible things. He says he wants a complete investigation and I believe him. That does not equate to my believing things like BW - or war at all for that matter - are good. On the contrary. But this is just people picking up news memes and then carrying on - and then yes: heads roll. Nothing new.
